I would have rather waited a little longer then have a bug this egregious.

Sounds like Bioware got a little to excited for DA2 and forgot about their other responsibilities... If Witch Hunt was properly tested, a bug this big would have become known... It's not even one area of decision making that leads to it, it's a whole bunch.

Wow, bioware is having a long day today...

The ending was also buged for me, she said I did not do the DR even though I did.
Origins save:
1) female Dalish
2) used Alistair( whom I was in a romance with) to do the DR
3) put Anora on the throne, killed Loghain
4) was friends with Morrigan.

That's what I'm guessing. The DLC simply was not tested. Or, only tested by people that refused the ritual.

Well, I got this bug too. I didn't talk to her during the battle of Denerim, didn't get the ring epilogue slide, but got the romance epilogue slide in Awakening. This is gutting, I loved this DLC right up until this. I really hope a workaround appears.

EDIT: If it's any consolation, you can still get the ending where you go through the mirror together. And it's a nice ending to boot. Which makes it all the more sad that one dialog bug stops it from being perfect.

I romanced Leliana but went ahead and did the Dark Ritual with Morrigan anyhow.



In Witch Hunt, I could ask about my son but the rest was all about how "I refused her offer" and "I turned her down" all the way through.



Could this relate to the fact that I did not pursue a full romantic relationship with her and only had the Dark Ritual performed in the interests of Yours Truly?



Best DA DLC by far. Felt like a part of the original game.

Judging from all the other posts, no. Seems like it doesnt matter what the h you did, your screwed either way.

Nope. All my games, romance or not, tend to have this.

Oh lovely this bug will never be resolved now. Hell, and its not like we could even check it out in the toolset to fix it ourselves....

Going to run through with another MOrrigan romancing Warden to see if thats bugged as well..

Unless I dreamed it, there was a post by a dev about the bug in the official discussion thread, thanking us for reporting it and saying they're examining it, it  but I can't find it anymore

I have the bug as well, PC version, all the same problems people have been reporting.

I also got the bug. Posting my save details just in case it helps:

-Male human warrior.
-Romanced her and Leliana for a while in Origins, but broke it off with Morrigan and stuck with Leliana. Never got the ring, never bedded Morrigan. I still had high approval with Morrigan, in the 70s I think.
-Did the Dark Ritual. Said I would go after Morrigan during the coronation.
-The DA:O epilogue said a woman matching her description was seen going over the Frostback Mountains, possibly with child.
-I bought the Warden's Keep and Return to Ostagar DLC after beating the game, so I played them with the Post-game save. I talked to Morrigan in the party camp during that time. I don't know the details of the Denerim bug you guys are mentioning, but this could affect that.
-Once I beat those, I imported that save into Awakening. My Awakening epilogue never mentioned her, but since I broke off the romance and dated Leliana I didn't expect it to. It said I reunited with Leliana or something.
-I imported the last Awakening autosave (right before fighting the Mother) into Golems of Amgarrak.
-I imported my Golems save right before fighting the Harvester into Witch Hunt. As an aside, the last autosave in Golems happens before you pick up the last item for that sidequest to upgrade the golem. Before playing WH, I loaded that real quick, got the item and made a new save. When I did that, the game announced the achievement for doing that quest (Secret Stitched Together), even though I got the achievement weeks ago. Perhaps it was an ill omen of bugs to come. Anyway I imported that particular save into WH.
-In WH, Morrigan said I refused the ritual, "yet somehow survived." She never mentioned a son. I think she acknowledged a friendship. I didn't ask to go in the mirror; she said she left the book and a gift, but it went straight to credits.

Oh, only mods I have are one that fixes the +healing bug and one that fixes the Vigilance/Starfang look. Dunno if those caused problems; I doubt it.

So if you want the DLC to not be bugged, you cannot get the ring epilogue. BS if you ask me. I have a save right before talking to her so I will go try it. But now I have to decide if I want to bother replaying Awakening. Granted, there are no auto-save or post-campaign save after talking to her, so you can't import it anyway.

Do you mean not talk to her during the Battle of Denerim, or do you mean in a post-game save? Because I dont have the ring epilogue and and I still have the bug.

He was meaning battle for Denerim. I will go play through it all as fast as possible and see.

Be right back with hopefully a positive answer, just need to do Archdemon and WH, but I'll put it on easy to cruise through.

Just did another quick run, this time not talking to her in Denerim ("So you have something to say, do you?"), and did not do Awakening.

Was still bugged.

I'm very furious at this point, if it is bugged in WH, it makes me think it will be bugged for DA2, and that is a HUGE plotline to be bugged.

this really pisses me off, i dedicated an entire playthrough to get both epilogues and i did the DR spoke to morrigan after denerim got the ring epilogue gave her the mirror and got the awakening epilogue, then she was going on about how i denied her at redcliffe but i still went through the mirror with her. This is total bull****

Speaking of boots, is there any chance the ancient elven boots will show up in the Lothering chantry in the future? :innocent:

EDIT: Just to be clear, I'm not trying to be snarky, I'm just genuinely curious as to whether or not that particular bug was addressed.
