After running into the DR bug and the subsequent "WTF" moment, I decided to test the beginning of Witch Hunt through importing different files from the same Warden. (Hurrah for compulsive saving!) For reference, he didn't romance Morrigan, but did the DR and talked to her at the Denerim gates.

Came up with this: Any saves that take place after the Post-Campaign file in Origins is bugged. Example: you load up the Post-Campaign to muck around with your inventory, then save. Your new save is bugged for Witch Hunt--and if you imported this save into Awakening (or any other DLC), the file is bugged.

This worked for me, perhaps it will save others some hair-pulling. I have yet to complete Witch Hunt with the PCS import, hopefully it works... Shame on you Bioware for not catching this. <_<

That is the most sound theory I have heard yet. I had no glitches whatsoever and have never gone back after an archdemon kill to 'muck about'.

I got the bug as well. Hate to say it but it sort of ruins the whole point of the DLC. I felt as though I got zero closure because of it (all the questions I had weren't answered and I was just given more) and a little lecture about how DA2 isn't going to be so bad. I still walked off into the nebulous other dimension that raised yet more questions. Feel a little disappointed for $7.

Agreed , Nothing about Morri is 'revealed' as the trailer suggested . Just more .... *sigh*  Not cool BioWare, not cool at all guys .

Wow!?! I had the opposite reaction to the ones on this page. ('course I didn't have a bug to contend with either.)

I felt that "I was able to get the ending I had hoped for", and saw how any/everyone else could too.

As Oscar Wilde once said of the cigarette, "The perfect form of the perfect pleasure, yet it leaves one unsatisfied. What more could one ask?"

No answers...I couldn't even tell you what happened in this DLC, other than an overwhelming sense of, "What the hell was that?" by the time the credits were rolling.  Immense build up and a massive drop on the arse.  Wish I could get my $7 back.  <_<

Sorry BioWare, I expect more even out of a hype-add on for DA2.

Broken ending. Nice. I did the Ritual-and she insists not.

Hit the Bug as well, though thankfully I watched the better ending via the youtube post a few posts above.  At first I was completly confused as to what was going on, and actually loaded up on old save to make sure I had in fact slept with her and produced the demon child. 

Bug aside, I found the ending very anti climatic.  Regardless though, I had hopped for a bit more out of this one.  I tore through this on hard mode in a little under an hour.  Granted, by this point my chracter is a total beast, but still I was looking for a bit more challenge.  

I will give kudos to the writing staff on this one though, Finn and the Elf chick are really well written and had me chuckling at more then a few points along the way. Unfortunatly it just made me wish there was more story to be had so I could journey with these characters a bit further.

All told, I wish they would have gone with fewer expansions and focused on two really great ones - like Awakening which I thought was perfect in length and told an intersting and exciting story.

One point I have to bring up though... what the heck was up with the bugged ending?  She walks through the glass, you turn to leave, but before she goes she tells you she left you something special behind.  But it cuts to the credits before you can find out what it is, not to meniton there is NO resolution with Finn and the elf girl's stories.

hear hear, very rushed I think, delayed release. Bioware need to get their act together.

this is more a commercial for DA2 then proper ending of imo most important part of origins



öh, beware of her, she is the one u want, she is one of characters in DA2, she will be important part of future, and i am actually just a misunderstood little girl who likes mirrors

Doesn't sound like you really left "no stone unturned", because I managed to get almost 2 hours out of this DLC.

Guys, I imported my awakening character, after saving post-epilogue... and I got the bug.

I imported my actual origin epilogue save, and I did not get the bug.

If you don't want the bug, just import from the Epilogue save.

Trust me nothing was left unturned, All chested opened, all sidequests though i dont think there was any. it was simply go to the tower then get the shard and the lights and travel to dragonbone wastes, even had time to kill the boss twice, once on casual and once on Nightmare.

Trust me nothing was left unturned, All chested opened, all sidequests though i dont think there was any. it was simply go to the tower then get the shard and the lights and travel to dragonbone wastes, even had time to kill the boss twice, once on casual and once on Nightmare.

Plus the acheivement "A Time of Wood and Stone" and "Through the Loooking Glass" I got in under 5 Minutes of eachother and the Acheivements "Witch Hunter" and "Varterral's Fall" were also withing 5 minutes of eachother.
