No sign of With Hunt here in Australia...well at least not according to my PS3.

I played a female elf who tossed Alistair in with the wench to instain mother and have babby formed. I have managed to dodge spoilers here on the forum thus far... I just hope the DLC is still relevant to my character and the decision I made to lend Alistair in order to save our Warden butts and run off into the sunset together.

If they are witholding it to fix bugs I would not mind, but would like a clafication on sit and date on which to download as my access to wifi is detirminal (as in, I have to make plans, I can't just access servers when I feel like it).

They didn't give any clarification!!! This is outrageous!!!They only said soon!!!

After finishing the Witch Hunt dlc, i have one question for Bioware.

Why is it again i should want to purchase DA2?

Lets see, Witch Hunt was basically a slap in the face to any fan wanting to see more of Morrigan and your Warden.We get about 2-3 minutes of dialogue with Morrigan and our Warden.A totally bugged ending for the majority.A total ambiguous ending which is  perfectly set up for more story on what happens to our Warden and Morrigan, though from the sounds of it we will never get to "play" any of that story.It was extremely easy, basically no gear to speak of unless i missed something.Which may be since i encountered locked doors and at least one locked chest with no rogue in my party.Thanks for that Bioware btw.

About the only redeeming quality (for me) was the ability to still have a somewhat happy ending despite the bug.Though it had nowhere near the emotional impact of my Warden and Morrigan in Origins.I feel like i just got thrown a small tasteless bone to shut me up as a never posting but huge fan of Morrigan.

I have totally lost faith in Bioware and Dragon Age after this.I know they cannot cater to everyone's wants and demands.But i think it was obvious that the majority of players wanted more of their Warden and more Morrigan.And this is what we got.Witch Hunt should have been closer to what Awakenings was, but even then i would have been let down.Though nowhere as close as to what i am now.

So i ask again, why is it i want to purchase DA2? And if the answer ends up being only to get me to DA3, then thats a pretty poor way to treat somebody that purchased your initial Dragon Age product,loved it,purchased some dlc,but then proceeded to watch things go downhill from there.

Hugely disappointed.

I bought Witch Hunt for a payoff - for time, money and involvement on Origins - I didn't follow the forums back then, with announcements of a 2 year follow-through, I took the developers' implicit promise made again and again throughout the game of a decent sequel closely affected by your history - that the heir to Baldur's Gate would have a Baldur's Gate 2 - not an Icewind Dale or NWN.

Like all DLC so far it was over far too quickly and it did not feel like an extension of the game, just a pale shadow. DLC is an invention to get more cash for less work - in ye olde days all this content would have been part of an original game or expansion.

There are no answers about Morrigan, only more questions and a cynical cross-selling attempt for DA2 (btw I wasn't bugged my main got tired of Alistair and let him talk himself into a noose, keeping Loghain).

Mantra seems to be to take as much money as you can before this cow dries up, not give people what they want. There's no quality reason why we shouldn't have had a DAO2 before DA2. (I think I'll wait and pick that up cheap and leave all DLC alone after Witch Hunt) - *and with the reports of the Shadow Broker no good reason why DA DLC was so crap.

I like that people bring up paid DLC and compare it to expansions or original content. For those of us who have been around since before the invention of patches i simply cannot believe a company can use these things as a crutch. Since when is it a totally acceptable marketing strategy to say "we know the game is bunk BUT we'll sell it, ship it, and fix it later."? Would you sell a microwave under this philosophy? A car? Of course not. The fact that you CAN do this in no way means you should.

This is why a producer like Blizzard will always win out over what has become of bioware. For all thier flaws (and they are many) Blizzard refuses to push a game before they feel it's ready. Of course there are patches but those are usually evolutionary in nature, a product of what happens to the games after being subjected to the stress of a mass audience, not to address inherent flaws in the game obviously known to the devs (and if you didn't know than you are worse designers than I give you credit for).

Did Bioware believe this was ready? I highly doubt it. Did they ship it anyway? Of course. Why? Money.

I guess as I watch all these DLCs emerge from bioware I get a little agitated because it cheapens the product as a whole. Riding on the coat tails of a great product only gets you so far before you cheapen the entire genre and players stop defending your product. I miss the good ol' days before patches and DLC when developers had to actually create a working game that could stand on it's own 2 feet BEFORE they sold it to the public. Not give a one line message on the forums stating "we're working on it" after the fact and getting lots of applaus from the masses like they are doing us a favor.

I didn't see this posted, so I'm just gonna mention it.



After getting the bugged ending last night, I loaded up my original Origins save (post-game) that I originally imported from. It is bugged there now too. Morrigan is acting as if we are just friends and not "romanced". I tried this twice. Can anyone confirm?



Starting to worry now it's going to be bugged across the board (Awakening, DA2, etc).

I don't know if anyone else noticed but there is some incoerence in Witch Hunt. It's well known that it occurs 1 year after the Bligth's end, 6 months after awakening, however when you are at the world map(in witch hunt) you can only select to go to a few places related to the "search for morrigan" plot, you can't go explore anywhere else in Ferelden, but you can get some info about this othere places. For example: You can't go to Vigil's keep, but you can press square(PS3) on it to see some info about the place. Now comes the weird thing:

It is stated that the horde of Darkspawn told to attack Vigil's Keep by The Mother occured 2 years ago, what doesn't makes sense if Witch Hunt happens 1 year after the bligth's end. The same can be seen when you select infos of othere areas like Denerim or Orzammar. It is stated of changes that happened years(more than one) after the bligth's end.



Now I wonder, was this a mistake by Bioware, or was it done on porpose? Or am I just having some crazy allucinations?

What a split thread.

Half the people are appropriately responding negatively about paying for DLC that is at worst useless as it is critically bug-ridden, and at best answers little. The other half are expressing outrage at not having it available in their locale.

For the second group - I have but one question - are you guys reading the comments here?!?!?!?!? If so - why complain about not having access to a product that is largely incomplete, falsely advertised, and (bug or no bug) utterly unsatisfactory?

Unless one thinks jumping through a mirror and landing on the other side for a brief flash, with nary a sign of the "child" in sight, or a clue as to where you just landed, is a satisfactory ending that answers all questions.
