After finishing the Witch Hunt dlc, i have one question for Bioware.

Why is it again i should want to purchase DA2?

Lets see, Witch Hunt was basically a slap in the face to any fan wanting to see more of Morrigan and your Warden. We get about 2-3 minutes of dialogue with Morrigan and our Warden.A totally bugged ending for the majority.A total ambiguous ending which is  perfectly set up for more story on what happens to our Warden and Morrigan, though from the sounds of it we will never get to "play" any of that story. It was extremely easy, basically no gear to speak of unless i missed something.Which may be since i encountered locked doors and at least one locked chest with no rogue in my party. Thanks for that Bioware btw.

About the only redeeming quality (for me) was the ability to still have a somewhat happy ending despite the bug.Though it had nowhere near the emotional impact of my Warden and Morrigan in Origins.I feel like i just got thrown a small tasteless bone to shut me up as a never posting but huge fan of Morrigan.

I have totally lost faith in Bioware and Dragon Age after this.I know they cannot cater to everyone's wants and demands. But i think it was obvious that the majority of players wanted more of their Warden and more Morrigan. And this is what we got.Witch Hunt should have been closer to what Awakenings was, but even then i would have been let down.Though nowhere as close as to what i am now.

So i ask again, why is it i want to purchase DA2? And if the answer ends up being only to get me to DA3, then thats a pretty poor way to treat somebody that purchased your initial Dragon Age product, loved it,purchased some dlc,but then proceeded to watch things go downhill from there.

Hugely disappointed.

Good points,, Noticed the lack of a rogue myself lol.

The thing is that the Shadow broker DLC got released the same day and if you look at those two they're countries apart. Can't believe they were made by the same company.

Dragon Age DLC: Re-used areas, cliche forgettable characters, glitchy ending (How can I have a son and at the same time have denied her, her ritual?) small quick fetch quest that had nothing to do with Morrigan.

Shadow Broker: New areas, changing gameplay, lots of time with Liara, romance option, a new area to explorer with massive access to good upgrades and the re-do stats. Background story on everybody and a video clip section, cool boss battleS

WTF???

I just finished the DO:WH DLC. I have to say, I was...really disappointed. I had waited for this DLC for ages, practically teetering on the edge of my seat...only for a brief dialogue with Morrigan? It was hardly a conlusion, and the ending raised more questions than answers.

And that reminds me, is there any way to see what it was that she left behind for the Warden? I mean, the credits rolled before you could even find out the contents of whatever her gift was. Seriously, Bioware's just one huge tease! And a cruel one at that...

Played it yesterday with a mage. Given that another mage joins your squad it was a bit overkill as mages are more than somewhat overpowered with the right skills. This ultimately led to a very short game. I don't think it lasted much more than an hour. I didn't notice any "bug" with my one play through thus far but now I need to decide which previous play through I'm going to sacrifice as it says I have too many characters. It wasn't terrible but I think I was expecting more... that and I was amazed with LotSB for ME2 so this left me somewhat disappointed. I'd give it maybe 5.5 or 6 stars out of 10. Pity DA:O had to finish on such a mediocre note. It was a fantastic game overall. Well, here's to waiting for DA2....

People, CALM DOWN. Since I work in the software industry, I know how long it takes to release a patch. Even small ones can take weeks. Bioware will not be able to spin a patch and have it tested/verified and released in a day or two. The only way is if they were aware of the bug before they released it and was already working on a patch (which doesn't seem to be the case). So relax.

Yeah, I thought maybe we'd get some new weapon or item to put to use in one final boss battle but alas, the credits rolled right then....

Neither is it tech support - it is more discussion based than that :P

Ye be part of the problem then matey for accepting shoddy standards. No defence on this one as a majority of people will experience the bugs and it's so obvious - apparently I don't because of choosing Loghain (I don't consider this vague announcement a spoiler on a Witch Hunt thread).

Tell your bosses to test and verify before release.

I did not choose Loghain and I have not experienced any bugs with any of my Wardens on the ending.

The issue seems to be with people who go back and play after DA:O after killing the Archdemon....recall how Morrigan is back in your party like nothing ever happened? At least this is the ongoing theory.

if you can import a char from the Epilogue screen i suggest trying that

idk if we can spoil anything here so...

SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

there is no save after you meet up with morrigan. the only save is just before you fight the strider. i guess that means ultimately the conversation with her doesnt matter. but overall i was satisfied with the ending (but i didnt do the dark ritual. i romanced her and rejected the dr continued to wear the ring up through the golems dlc). i was expecting the warden to die.. but he doesn't. leaves the door open for future adventures. even better, i'm now convinced morrigan is not evil. she was very sweet actually.. maybe she's changed a lot in the last year. but either way the choices are go with her through the mirror, stay behind while she goes through, or stab her, and she falls through (i assume she isn't killed). i just wanted to know her sinister evil plan. but based on talking to her, she's not evil and not working with flemeth. of course now everyone wants to know where the mirrors lead to, but i bet that'll be answered in da2. the one thing i didn't like was just leaving ariane, finn, and my dog. morrigan was really nice to my dog too.. which is a total change. anyway i was surprised in a good way. i have to say LotSB was much better.. but it was seriously the highest quality dlc ever so.. that's ok

I'm not defending Bioware for releasing with the bug. That, I agree, really stinks. What I am talking about is people who are posting on this thread asking if a fix has been released one day after the DLC was released. That is not gonna happen.

I used my epilogue save from Origins, and the DLC, I mean the end conversation wasn't bugged. What If I do otherwise (like importing a save from Awakening or from Golems of Amgarrak)? Will the bug occur?

So if you romanced her you can go with her? interesting )))

I thought it was a great DLC dispite the fact that it was for closure. We did not get it. From the looks of things, Flemeth was right. She taught Morrigan far too well about power. Flemeth seems to me to be an untainted Old God trying to rid the earth of evil , while Morrigan is in search of the powers of the old ancient Tevinter magisters. Can't wait until DA 2!

Thank you for the answer. It's too bad. I hope a fix will come. In a sense, it's a broken product:(

Anyways, the DLC itself was decent. Or at least I liked it. Okay, I admit it, I didn't expect much...

Found the easiest way to avoid the bug it would seem. :bandit:

After killing the Archdemon in Origins, you go back to the castle blah blah, BEFORE you EXIT the castle because "The people want to see there Hero blah blah :wizard:", SAVE the game. LOAD THIS save file and it doesnt act like you backtracked. Morrigan ending bug never came about.

If you DID in fact deny the Dark Ritual, then save as normal in camp or what ever, because the bug will act as if you avoided it anyway. So, no harm no foul. I tested this method twice, with two characters. Seems to be all good B).

Hope this helps some one ^_^

wow if what you said really works then thank you very much :) you should try to tell it to the developers

Thanks - good clarification - I did that too so it must have been the epilogue save.

Thanks for clarifying too Keesio.

I just played it through twice. Both have totally different relationships with Morrigan, and both are reflected nicely. My human male who romanced her went with her despite being prince consort and warden commander... and my elf male mage said goodbye. The mage is imported from Golems.and human male importanted from just starting the final battle. No bugs thus far.

I see no reason to stab her myself... but I'm the live and let live type.
