so did the warden survive when he went through the mirror with morrigan?

I think he did? I mean, there was no indication whatsoever that he was killed. Morrigan seemed to genuinely love him and acted happy to see him. Well, she did in my playthrough. And in the beginning of the DLC, when you hear Morrigan talking, she said that she'd never done anything so difficult as when she told the Warden not to follow her, also indicating that she at least cares a great deal  for him.

In my playthrough she called him "My love" and spoke rather emotionally to the Warden. Her facial expressions also suggested her deep feelings for the Warden, so my guess would be that they both went through the mirror to where the child is hidden. Beyond that is unknown since it  ends right there. I can't see her killing him, though. And I doubt entry into the mirror would have killed him, either.

That's just my speculation, though. The story doesn't really say so it's anyone's guess. I choose to believe they went through together to be with the child and to prepare for whatever it is Flemeth is plotting.

POST CONTAINS SPOILERS, READ ON AT OWN RISK.

I for one loved the DLC. It was an interesting adventure, however, they had lots of potential to contenue, we heard something about Flemmeth, why couldn't we hunt her as morrigan proposed?

It offered 2:49 hours of gameplay. And an amazing storyline, and a lot of fun banter conversations. The party members were both skilled, allthough Finn lacked constitution, a LOT of it, he was standing at a safe range most of the time though. And even better, it offered an Dwarven thaig that were not so red-ish and boring.

The Morrigan ending was not that dissapointing, it ended up with morrigan going alone, even with 95 approval from DA:O and the dalish elf got her book back. There was potential for more "witch hunting" though.

The thaig didnt look similar to you? lol
Who do we know of house cadash hmm..

Save your money folks. Apart from the fact that the ending was bugged, you don't find out anything you didn't know before. I actually thought there was supposed to be more after you follow Morrigan through the mirror or let her go, and thought the abrupt ending was an error so I loaded a save and tried again. I thought this DLC was supposed to provide some closure, reveal Morrigan's plans and what the child really was, but it doesn't answer any of those questions. This is almost as bad as Darkspawn Chronicles.. Just generic hack and slash with no story until the last couple of minutes of dialogue with Morrigan.

But it wouldn't be a surprise if they told you what happened with the child or morrigan. Now would it?? All I did was tell her I wanted to come with her to met my son and her and I both went through the mirror together. I can wait for surprises myself.

Oh, I'm more than happy to 'wait for surprises'. ^.^ I never said that I wasn't. I'm just bummed out because BioWare has said that this is the last release for DLC, and it was a huge cliffhanger, and DA2 doesn't continue the story and is therefore unlikely to answer any of the questions that Witch Hunt left us with.

I do hope that they don't just throw in the fate of Morrigan and the child in some sort of epilogue, or prologue. I would love to have it be another game. If we can't have the Grey Warden back for DA3 (which I'm still praying for) then I hope we can at least have his child be the next protagonist in the series after *cringes at this name* Hawke, with references as to what the Warden's fate was. There was just so much left unsaid. Zevran and Leliana. At the end of Origins it said that Zevran stayed with my Warden, but he wasn't in any of the DLC or Awakening. So that's up in the air, too. There was just so much more then could have done with this.

I am also hoping that the entire Dragon Age series doesn't take place only in Ferelden. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm very eager to see some of the other countries that were only spoken of in Origins. Like Antiva and the Qunari lands. I would absolutely LOVE to see those two places. And the other Dwarven city as well, or other Dalish clans that wander countries and lands other than Ferelden. It would be fascinating. If I can't explore these places with the Warden I hope I can at least see them with his son,

I do hope they change this "can only play a human" thing that they've implemented with DA2 for DA3, if there is a DA3. It's a fantasy world! I play a human in real life 24/7, I don't want to play one in a video game, too. :D

Me too!!!

You go through the mirror, are shown standing there for like a split second, then a flash, and then the credits. I thought this to be a bug for sure, and replayed it many times, going through the different dialog choices. I had difficulty believing that was the intended ending - but apparently it was.

BTW - I'm an IT manager with 30 years experience - and contrary to the other post - I cannot fathom how this bug made it through beta testing and gold certification.

Ahh, but there is a gamer limit of 1750 per game, on all games right? (A silly rule I agree) However, upto this dlc, Dragon Age Origins was upto 1650. This dlc only added 50 gamer points to the total, meaning they still have 50 to play with.

I think (and hope) that this was just a way to get everyone to the same point reguarding Morrigan and so they will either release a further dlc, exploring her ending further, or extend this one maybe? Or alternitivly they could be making an Origins 2, so a sequel for our Warden, rather than an exploration of Hawke.

SPOILERS AHEAD

For me I thought this DLC ended well........for people who romanced Morrigan, not so much for everybody else. But the one major gripe I have that bothers me is Dog, It would have been so much better if he was to walk in the Mirror with Morrigan and the Warden. :crying:

Guys I solved the bug in PC technical support. Thread titled Bug Caused By Post-Epilogue Save: Witch Hunt or something like that, I can't remember.

Go there. You might not like the answer, but it's there.

The bugged savegame import that didn't recognize my choices spoiled the entire DLC for me. Such a waste :( Right now that's all I want to say about it.

It's the end of Origins, not necessarily your Warden, that's what I've taken from what the Bioware guys have said anyway.

Perhaps this question has been answered, but is the "save game" issue the reason why all the items I've looted are in all my different characters' inventory, but the Witchfury item hasn't appeared yet?  I mean I completed Witch Hunt, but there is no sign of the Witchfury item that was downloaded for DA:O and DA:OA.  I've even completed all the Trophies.

Future thank you to anyone able to shed some light on this for me.

I agree, I think there could be a future for the warden, but not necessarily through dlc or Origins. Possibly hinting at a second game?

There was no single item callled Witchcraft, but I did notice four of the items that I found in first playthrough of Witch Hunt showed up in my Origins and Awakening saves. The items had different stats for Origins and Awakening like other DLC items.

That's right, it was called Witchcraft. Thank you. I'm guessing that it is due to the saved game not being created at the end of Witch Hunt...at least that's what I hope the issue is.

...sigh...I was looking forward to what I was hoping would be a kickass staff for my newly created mage, but HOPEFULLY time will tell.

MASSIVE SPOILER ALERT BELOW

Morrigan is set to survive even if you "killed" her (notice she falls thru the mirror) so officially it's open for BW to do whatever and they already said they aint finished with the Morrigan/child story.
However I dont think there will be any more warden,I do believe that if they DID bring back Morrigan DA3 etc (wishful thinking imho) the warden woulda been killed off and you will be Hawke from DA2.
However we do know now that the child is a boy.
As a Morrigan romancer I liked the ending and I went with her into the other side.
was the story too short? hell yes
did non morrigan fans get sold out? hell yes
should the story continue if you let her go? of course.
If you chose to go,that was the end,but if you chose to help Ariana complete
her task and go looking for flemeth you shoulda been able to.
I always maintained this epilogue should have been on the scale of an Awakenings type expansion as still do,when it appeared as 560 bw points i inwardly thought "uh oh!"

Alas, thank you BW I can prepare for hawke now knowing in my mind Morrigan and the Warden are reunited and together can look after their son.I cant think for one moment a better person to protect them both than his father the warden.

Who knows, maybe some talented modders can continue the story, but what i do think would be awesome is if BW have absolutely NO intension of continuing DA:O at lease release a gui package that puts all the characters available in camp along with all places open to explore.

Unless it was in one of those damn locked chests that my freakishly strong (but non-rogue) Warden can't seem to bash open :)

Haha yes, was most annoying having locked places I couldn't get into. I'll wait for Bioware to fix the bugged ending and then do WitchHunt with my Rogue (still have to finish Awakening with her yet).

We can only hope that this isnt the end of our wardens, and that Bioware bring them back after DA2.
