Witch Hunt is the worst DLC Bioware delivered so far in my opinion. Even if you don't consider the expectations players had for gaining at least a little more insight into the whole Morrigan issue it was very weak, really not much at all there, and damn short (1 hour, barely).

But seeing that the whole point of this DLC was - or at least that's what they sold it on - that players would get to know a little bit more about Morrigan, her motivations, where she's headed etc... ANYTHING really... that DLC was a huge, effing disappointment.

What makes me even more angry - the other DLC they released at the same time, Shadowbroker, was excellent, my favorite DLC so far!

Shadowbroker had everything, a good story, a big story development at the end, insight into a part of the story you did not have if you only played the game itself, interesting dialogue, good combat. Loved it! Yeah, it was a bit more expensive but I don't regret spending my money on it - I do for Witch Hunt.

So why the hell did they screw up Witch Hunt to this magnitude?!

Dear Bioware DAO team,

Read this thread in it's entirety paying special attention to how many people are disappointed and the reasons why they are disappointed. Then do the same with every other DA DLC thread and the DA2 threads for good measure.

Next, read the ME2 DLC threads. Pay special attention to how many people are satisfied and why they are satisfied.

See the difference in posts and satisfaction levels between the two? There's a reason for it.

I don't know if it was cliffhnager-y as much as it just didn't end anything. You aren't given any more answers than when you arrived, and you leave with more questions. My Warden walked off with her, probably very confused.

DA without our warden isnot DA any more :(

*sigh* I know how you feel, I truly do.

But, let's look on the bright side! Our Warden might be back for the 3rd game! And even if he/she's not maybe we can play as his and Morrigan's child (or...Morrigan and Alastair's child? *shudders at that combination because it just sounds so very WRONG*). I hope that for the 3rd game, BioWare gets rid of this premade character nonsense. The reason I loved Dragon Age was because of my Warden, he was MINE. Hawke's not mine and I certainly don't want him.

Even if we don't get our Warden back (*sniffle* I hope we do though!) maybe we can make all new characters of our own. Oooh! Wouldn't it be neat if they made the Qunari a playable race? ^.^

I really hope (prey)  that in DA3 we will have our warden back with Morrigan and his son

You know, for all those people out there whining and complaining, pull your head's in!!!!!! If it wasn't for the likes of Bioware and other companies like them, you wouldn't have these games to play to begin with.

I mean seriously, grow up and be greatful for what you get.

The reason I come onto these forums is to see what updates/news there is and to see if any fixes are available, and all I get to read is complaining! I've never met so many people acting like two year olds throwing a tantrum in one place in all my life.

The fact that Bioware representatives are extremely active on this forum and apologetic about any bugs found would suggest that they do actually care about giving you quality goods. And you know what - LIFE ISN"T PERFECT, so why are you expecting a game to be 100% perfect?

Even with it's bugs, the game is brilliant, entertaining and very fulfilling. And you know what, if it crashes, just save your spot more often, it's not that hard, you press a few buttons and surprise, you haven't lost anything!!!!!

I like your idea ^_^
hope they will do it in that way

Satisfactory would do - two year olds can't write sentences explaining why they are unhappy - they can however be spoon-fed and accept whatever mush they are given.

Nooo! No indulging the trolls! So far, most of the people here have been very mature about discussing what they like, and dislike (seems to be mostly dislike) about Witch Hunt and Dragon Age II. Let's try to avoid getting into an unnecessary fight with a troll. You know there were bound to be a few, at the very least. It's unavoidable. ^.^

No matter how poorly a company treats its fans there are always those out there who will defend anything and everything that company does to the bitter end with a fervour that borders on obsession. It is best to just ignore them. Maybe they'll go away.

Head over to 2k Mafia2 forums and you'll see some real complaining there Image IPB

I do believe, and I said it all along,if you're going to do a Morrigan epilogue it needed to be a proper expansion sized project, and although I am quite satifsied,it really was a lame DLC in all reality.Almost as if some unknown 3rd party game developer had a "go" at it.
A bit meh bioware,a bit meh

I gotta say that this DLC did not live up to any of the expectations it had set. It didn't answer any of the questions about Morrigan or what she was up to. In the end, all that happened was my Warden walked off with her into the portal and I maybe saw about .5 seconds of the Fade.

If they were going to tackle this endeavor, they really should have spent more time and resources on it and either A) turned it into an expansion or B) made it into a very sizable DLC. In 1h I was done...on hard mode...and my Warden semi-straight out of Origins could have single handedly killed everything. (Yay for Mages! Arcane Warrior + Blood Mage + Battlemage)

To be fair, this DLC did have some good aspects.
The companion characters were funny and well written. And... that's about it.

It was very disappointing that instead of a proper ending for our characters, we got even more questions. I know that a lot of them will be answered in DA2, but the fact that we play as Hawke and not our Grey Warden makes the situation highly unpleasant.

One thing I will say about Witch Hunt, without any type of spoilers, is that I liked the reference to 'change'  that BioWare put in the ending. And considering how they are, that message was adressed more to us than the Warden :P

Overall, from my own perspective I would give Witch Hunt 4/10. The scenery and the music was recycled, and the ending... you know ;)
A huge difference between this and the Mass Effect DLCs, which are incredible. Especially LotSB which was just great and beautiful.

I just finished Witch hunt myself. The graphics and the story was great but the ending I agree was a Flop! It was like they just stopped. And yes too many questions un ansered. I'm one disappointed DA fan.

Lair of the Shadow Broker for ME2 was great...I haven't even bought Witch Hunt yet. It just sounds slapped together. DA was a great game and Awakening was a great expansion (with some QA issues), and I have enjoyed the DLCs though I didn't bother with Darkspawn Chronicles. The thing that has made me drop DA are the patches...which are not great quality.

I don't want to see a decline in the quality of the patches or DLCs (though this is probably the last one) for DA because the majority of the team is busy working on DA2.

I'd give it a 6/10.  I was entertained for a little while, and I like the fact you can gut Morrigan if you want.  I just didn't get the exciting conclusion they were saying I would get when they were advertising and marketing the product last month.  classic Bait and Switch.

I am 100% in agreement with you, well said. This DLC was horrible, and on top of it the bug issue... which completely messed up the ending I was supposed to get. Horrible. I'm actually glad this was the last DLC for DA:O, because on some level they have all been a disppointment mainly in my opinion due to recycled areas.

I'm tempted to make an A-Team joke, but I won't.

The DLC sort of feels like they decided not to do the two years DLC in favor of DA2, but someone on the staff said "We wanted to conclude Origins with Morrigan DLC" so the execs okayed it on the basis that they had to hurry and not say anything that would keep them from using it as a sequel hook. It just doesn't feel like they tried very hard.

Just finished Witch Hunt after a DA:O marathon(Since I lost my saves a couple weeks back D:), and I got to say, feels good, man :D

I imported my character from Golems(Origins->Awakening->Golems) and I didn't have any problems with the DR bug people have been reporting, I loved the little mentions of Morrigan's ring and the funny banter between the companions, I also smirked at the little jab at Harry Potter and the "Are there Griffons in this book?" book(Throwback to the conversation with Wynne), the ending was great for me, but it was rushed imo, *HEAVY SPOILERS* I simply went through the mirror with Morrigan and even though the Warden and Morri had their little lovers reunion which was nice :3, the game just suddenly ends, no reaction shot of the companions, no epilogue, we just walked through the mirror and "Credits" *SPOILERS END*

The reused areas were kind of annoying, but after RtO, DC, LS(in which BW even altered Leliana's tale so they could reuse the same areas) and GoA, I was kind of expecting it :P

As a Morrigan fan who got his reunion with no bug I'd give this DLC a 9/10, from a mostly objective point of view I'd give it a 6 or a 5 out of ten, only the writing and banter between the companions is worth it, the questions that were supposed to be answered and the conclusion we were supposed to have are nowhere to be seen, it felt more like a teaser for DA2 and after than a final chapter for the Warden.

Well put. It was an... interesting conclusion to be honest, and I was actually getting shaky as I was getting closer to the ending. It had suspense, I admit, but a good game (or DLC in this case) has to create a thirst for replay.  It's been like, almost a day or two since LotSB was released and I played it 3 times. Witch Hunt... it's safe to say that I'll be looking at it again when DA2 comes close to release, to make sure all my decisions are in their proper place.

Room for more DLC come on BW mooaarr!!!!!

The warden and Morrigan settle down to a nice life of domestic bliss.the warden tends to his fields,Morrigan gives him 2 more children, they shelter away from the events of the second blight ignoring Hawkes rise to power in the North.

But then, having followed a magic signature and huuuuge tear appears in the veil and out of it pours the Darkspawn horde, they fall upon the hapless inhabitants and how they slew, slew, slew.

Their target,Wardens farm is ahead, the ogres take position in the front, and with a roar they charge, thousands upon thousands....

The Warden takes a long old friend from the hooks in the wall, unsheaths the long two handed sword which shines,Morrigan places the children in the cellar through a door in the floor and takes hold of the Staff of Light, they both for a moment gaze lovingly into eachothers eyes, and head out into the melee.

If you don't mind could you tell me if you imported your ORIGIN save from the epilogue itself or after it?
