I hope that those in this thread, and all the other ones, who state they will not buy DA2 will actually follow through and not buy it. Otherwise your complaining won't do anything.
I do not plan on buying it.

I was so excited about this DLC until I played it and found it soooo disappointing. I  havent found something that lame since Final Fantasy introduced guns and futuristic settings.

I used to play DA:O everyday after work, even for just an hour. I havent played since tuesday and dont plan on playing soon. My warden's story is dead to me.

It was...quite short. I was a bit disappointed, because I thought I would get some answers from Morrigan. But there were just vague lines, nothing substantial.

I think this content should have been a bigger Add-on, especially because many players cared for Morrigan and her story. And I guess, we all know, that this storyline will have an impact on the sequel in one way or another.

Furthermore was the whole environment pretty cold and clinical, even at the Circle. To little interaction with people, no possible visits to Denerim etc., no sidequests,  some funny dialogue, but that's it.

Maybe if I played Witch Hunt before Shadow Broker I would have another perspective, but since I was blown away yesterday, I am quite spoiled now :) and well 560 points seemed a bit much in compared to the richness of SB.

Lair of the Shadow Broker for ME2 was great...I haven't even bought Witch Hunt yet. It just sounds slapped together. DA was a great game and Awakening was a great expansion (with some QA issues), and I have enjoyed the DLCs though I didn't bother with Darkspawn Chronicles. The thing that has made me drop DA are the patches...which are not great quality.

I don't want to see a decline in the quality of the patches or DLCs (though this is probably the last one) for DA because the majority of the team is busy working on DA2.

lol.  I agree!  The A team is working on DA2, and the B Team sold me Witch Hunt.

I'm tempted to make an A-Team joke, but I won't.

The DLC sort of feels like they decided not to do the two years DLC in favor of DA2, but someone on the staff said "We wanted to conclude Origins with Morrigan DLC" so the execs okayed it on the basis that they had to hurry and not say anything that would keep them from using it as a sequel hook. It just doesn't feel like they tried very hard.

Not sort of. That IS exactly what they did. They cut Origins short in favor of DA2. I really don't buy their rather feeble excuses as to why they went back on the 2 years of DLC promise.

You're right that they didn't try very hard. There can really be no doubt at all that this was a rush job. It sort of makes me think back to when I was in school and I'd forgotten I had a major homework assignment due. I would rush and scramble to slap something together the very night before the homework was to be handed in just so I'd have something to give the teacher. Witch Hunt feels like that.

I fully agree with you.... i can remember being in class duning my homework and passing it in like 5 minutes laters and having the teacher say .... you are really happy with this work........ thats what i want to ask bioware, is this thr type of work you are happy with?  I for one will not buy DA2 or any things else from bioware until i hear a good explanation for the lake of quality on this dlc. If this is the kind of work the now find exceplable i want to have nothing to do with the games in the future.

I imported Gene Cousland from Golems of Amgarrak. No bugs for me. it acknowledged I did the ritual and such. I happen to have LOVED this dlc so much. a) great story, and I do actually think it is a fantastic conclusion.B) the mere fact they are reusing areas but not trying to disguise them as new areas and just making the warden revisit them for specific reasons makes me happy. c) fantastic ending. I didn't like the difficulty compared to amgarrak however. took me one try to kill the Varterral on nightmare. easy as pie, and i only had to use 4 poultices..Personally though, i think its worth the £5.49 I paid for it..and I can't happily say that about other DLCs in Dragon age. this is a 4 star from me. -1 because of low difficulty.

My ending was me and morrigan going through the portal together. We haven't seen or heard the last of them. it's been said by bioware that morrigan plays a part in DA2 AND I'm guessing the warden is still around. I mean..what's beyond this portal?.

This, I think, is far from the end of the story of the Hero of Ferelden

we may not have seen the last of them...... but i will be the last time we are able to play as them....... thats what people are mad about, myself included..... its like mass effect without shepard, sure they are going to lets us do it, but come on how many of us will do that our first time through, i know i wont. Shepard made mass effect , mass effect. the same goes for dragon age just because the stick dragon age on a new game and make a new hero, does not mean we will like it. Dragon age to US (as in the fans) is our warden and the story he/she made.... not some random hero most of us have only heard of in the first trailer for DA2

Haha, my teachers would say the same thing to me! I think it must be a universal teacher phrase. And it always succeeded in making me feel both horrible and guilty. I hope BioWare feels something of that right now.

Can I just say that I am very disapointed, with the new direction DA2 taking. For me the warden's story was not finished. I spent money on all the DLC content available, hoping to continue my warden's story further...and what do I get.....Hawke? Don't make me laugh. Nothing can be said to make me change my mind on DA2, I have read enough about it already and the only good thing about it was the return of Flemeth.

I hope you guys at Bioware stop and think, before you make DA3. If there is one, because I certainly won't be supporting DA2.

Guess I will be hanging out in the Origins forums from now on...

I think this transgression is deserving of more punishment!

Another member for the cause! Welcome! I would offer you an official member's pin, but... I only just now thought up the anti-DA2 Movement. A.D.A.M for short!

Yeah, I'm in a silly mood right now, but I'd rather laugh than be angry. ^.^

I still fully support those who wish to reject DA2. Well...I guess that's obvious, isn't it? Since I'm one of them. lol

The Witch Hunt DLC was okay. It should not of been a DLC though...it should of been a sequel or at least an expansion. Instead we get this idiot Hawke.

I did not like the way you mentioned Kirkwall, I wanted Morrigan content. Not an advertisement of DA2.

This was one of your most popular DLCs....and what... it's only been realeased a couple of days? no big advertisements needed. Maybe this is the direction DA should of gone....instead of scraping our warden and his/her companions.

I should of just read the review of it rather than waste money buying it. If DA2 was a continuation of the warden then it could of been forgiven.

I wont add to much, as most of you have said very well how I feel.

But I'd like to add my name here in case they read these forums.

If Witch Hunt was free it would still be a wast of download time. I feel cheated and ripped off, and I will skip DA2 as well with great ease. I really liked DAO so its to bad.Surely they could have hired Morrigan's voice actress for a little longer.

I also really liked LOTSB so they will still get my money from Mass Effect games. If they give DA2 to me for free as a apology for the garbage Witch Hunt insult, I would accept that.

I really hope so. But as the saying goes "money talks". So, I hope DA2 doesn't sell half so well as DA:O did. Maybe then they'll get the message. If the fans who are truly upset by this are a large enough percentage, and if they decide, like us, to not purchase DA2, then there's hope.

These gaming companies need to learn that it isn't okay to screw their fans. They've been doing it for so long, and getting away with it, because the fans, even if they're unhappy with how the company treats them, continue to purchase their games anyway. It's like they think not purchasing them is somehow wrong. Like they're betraying the gaming company. But BioWare, like all the rest, is only out for our money. That's why they make these games. So, it seems only fair to me that, if they want us to spend our good money on their games, they need to actually care about our input.

So, to those of you who maintain that "it's their game and their story, they can do whatever they want with it". NOT TRUE. They make these games FOR us. They're not offering us some sort of charity in which we should be grateful just to have a bone thrown our way. People don't need video games. They're a luxury. If anything we, the fans, are giving the gaming companies charity. THEY need US. Not the other way around. They provide a service to us and we pay them in return for it. If we don't like that service, why shouldn't we tell them? That's one of the reasons these forums are even here. So we can give our input. Not just on bugs, but on content as well. On anything about the game that we like or dislike.

If your cell phone service, or your cable provider, suddenly decided that they want to completely change how they do things, and that service turns out to be worse than it had been, don't you think you'd have a right to complain about it? This is NO different.

I just had to get that off my chest. ^.^

I was so excited about this DLC until I played it and found it soooo disappointing. I  havent found something that lame since Final Fantasy introduced guns and futuristic settings.

If anything, we, the fans, are giving the gaming companies charity.

I fully agree with you..... everything you just said is true, and thats why so many game companies go under, people just stop buying the games...... News Flash Bioware, it does not matter what type of game YOU want to make, if the people want something else, the will find it  FROM A DIFFERENT COMPANY!!! So if you dont wish to lose the fan base you still have you better turn it around.... and fast...... As for me well i am now looking foward to fallout new vegas..... Which is a game that is delivering what the people want to play.......So bioware maybe you should take some notes
