I'm definitely going to lurk on the Wiki before I decide whether or not DA2 is something I should get just for the story events. So far, it isn't the sort of game I want, so I guess I'll just be disappointed in WH.

All i can say is i agree with you....... This game was about choices, so  if you dont like what someone else is saying about their play through just keep playing yours and leave everyone else to their opinion....

Guys quit fighting. There's nothing to fight about. We're gonna play as bad-*ss Commander Shepard Hawke or we're not gonna play at all. For whatever reason, the story of Commander Hawke is the one Bioware wants to tell and there is nothing we can do about it.

Even if the game truly sucks, enough people will buy the game before they realize it so that it won't matter.

The Warden is gone.

I do hope people will at least rent the game before they buy. Common sense really, isn't it? Since you can't return video games. That's what I usually do anyway with a game I'm unsure of. I rent it to see how I like it first. Though I suppose most people don't do that.

And the Warden may be back! Cheer up. We don't know what the future may bring!

It's alot shorter than Origins, my other post just proves it's true. That Bioware are rushing, and I'm worried this will ruin DA. They should really just chill out and relax. Sit down and think about what the fans want. Instead of taking the easy way out and scrap the warden.

DA2 could of been so much better...if they just took their time with it. Seems like EA is hungry for the money Dragon age brings in.

I have seen nothing from the devs concerning the warden baby daddy being put to cannon. Speculation is fun but it is just that, speculation.

I am at work and a bit bored but that doesn't make my points any less valid. Oh well, for better or worse Bioware chose it's path and we can only sit back and see if it works for them. Provided Sandal makes a comeback I will be sated.

This is exactly what turned me off from DA 2.  Aside from the horrible cell-shaded graphics (I'm not going there right now), I wanted to continue the story of MY warden.  Not some new....loser!  Maybe if you're able to come back as your Warden from DA:O in DA 3, I might play that.  But as far as Dragon Age 2 goes, I'll pass.

And @Guldan323 - I hear ya about the Realms.  I've been running them table top style for 20+ years.  You'd be lucky to have maybe catch a GLIMPSE of Drizzt once.  Out of all the campaigns I've run during that time, only two groups had ever had the fortune of meeting him.  I like focusing more on the world and what it's like.

For those of us who either want the Warden over Hawke, or who want the freedom to create all new characters of our own choice (and with our choice of race) rather than having BioWare's ready made human character (Hawke) forced on us. We also maintain that BioWare shouldn't be able to just break their promise of 2 years of DA:O content and replace it with poorly made, rush jobs like Witch Hunt.

We feel that the Warden's story at least deserves more closure.

Yeah, that story deserves more closure!  There's too much left unresolved with people like Zevran, Leliana and Shale!  The first Warden needs more closure!

Just purchased the "Witch Hunt" DLC on PC. Wondering if I only have my Final battle save games from origins, and i assume there's no way to activate this dlc in awakening. Do i really have to create a new character to reach this? I have already invested 150 hours into this game playing it multiple times. So my save games are 1 at the very end as your about to address the crowd and then goes into flash card ending. and multiple final battle saves before killing the arch demon. Is anything going to help me? And if I have to make a new character. How far into the game do i have to reach to activate this DLC?

Maybe Glitch orignates beacuse there are two Wardens how can do Ritual? Male warden(PC) and Alistair.Don't care about OGB or Morrigan that much tho..and yea I almost forgot  Loghain  as well can become Warden as well...so maybe script isn't  recon. PC Warden as baby's dad...just a taught

I wonder if the devs are watching this forum....thinking "We are so screwed! there is an army of Hawke haters marching towards our studio!"

Being serious though, I want DA2 to do well, but I won't be buying it. I want to see a DA3 with the warden, Morrigan , Flemeth and the godbaby if you did the DR of course.

This was by far the best DLC for the game. Not saying it was absolutely perfect, but it was good. I think they have left the door open to bring Morrigan back, if not in D2 certainly in D3. The plot thickens so to speak. I think that D3 will probably be set about 20 years after the blight ended in Ferelden. I just refuse to believe that they will do nothing with Morrigans child. I think Morrigan went to a realm where the Elven gods dwell, or perhaps where the ancient elves evacuated to.

Guys I do respect your opinion and the moviment itself, but just let me put my point of veiw to you.
For better or worse, Bioware, like mostly (if not all) game developers do it for money, its their WORK.
Ofcourse, we are the costumers, so we buy what we like, but nonetheless, for a video game, dragon age: Origins and Awakenings (i'm not going into Pencil and Paper RPG where the story and the world itself are tailored for around 4 players only.
For bioware, its not "our Warden" its "the Warden" (in a generic way) the "our" part came as we tailor then as we please, kudos for the devs being able to make us feel that way.
Bioware diferernt from a Pencil and Papper RPG, have schedules, a certain amount of money EA provides and they try to make the best of it, of course its their's wallet on the game, we like it, we buy they get paid.
Hawke and DA2 are an attempt to narrow some of the variables, in my veiw at least, so they have a solid ground to work on (hawke) and can focus more on the choices along the story. In origins they have to make variables and believable stories and plots for each race, class and gender to become the warden, and that takes time.
It worked wonders with Mass Effect, hopefully it will make the same effect on DA2.

that's that.

For a more deeper experience, NOTHING I repeat NOTHING will never surpass the good PnP RPG (Being dnd, storyteller, whatever system) and a good Dungeon Master as Narrator, that way the story will be of OUR "wardens" or whatever we create.
