How could they not notice this in their testing? It's a pretty big deal and hard to miss. They've even played it for themselves already!

I wonder about that myself, maybe no one in bioware really liked morrigan and didn't do the ritual?

I guess none of them did the Ritual, lol.

Or the testers all hated morrigan, and wanted morrigan fans to pay. I bet someones getting fired either way ^_^

So wait, does she mention the dark ritual at the end? I was only told that the son was "innocent", but is she supposed to mention anything more?

She said "You denied me at Redcliffe, why should I trust you, yadi ya yadi ya"
She mentions a son because if you romance her then she is pregnant anyway. So she is referencing a normal child, not the Old God Baby (OGB).

I must've missed it. Did she say that as a result of you asking "Why did you betray me?".

I'll replay the save right before the conversation, but in all honesty, I wanted her to at least give a hint that she loves me or something. Image IPB

She says the child bit when you ask "So I hear you were pregnant" If the Dark Ritual had imported correctly that would be silly to say, because she responds "ah you hear about that did you, the child is safe... -etc-". Then when you ask "Why did you betray me?" She says "It was you who betrayed me when you denied me at Redcliffe"

When I first saw that, my jaw dropped and I instantly lost all interest in the DLC.

So if its a normal child you can say "so i hear you were pregnant"? that means that i did not get a bugged ending because she mentioned the child which my warden already had knowledge about and that i did the dark ritual :D

So what dialogue did you get exactly? To all us unfortunate bugged players?

I also seemed to have got the bugged ending(Xbox 360), and it totally destroyed my immersion for my main Warden. I'm sorry to hear that it seems to be a common bug, but also glad to know it wasn't just me. I have met the criteria, like many others, and she makes it sound like I didn't do the ritual as well. I hope it's fixed soon. I will definitely play through it again for the correct ending. Good luck to everyone else as well.

Thanks for the bug reports, all. The team is aware and looking into it.

Just say that this bug it's also on XBOX. (I say it because I have seen the bug report post on PC forum....).

In my case: female warden so with no romance (so without the problem of the previous bug romance ending). Saved file from Golems' DLC (from Awakening, from Origins).

I think mine worked out too, because she never mentioned Redcliffe and I guess it doesn't matter if she doesn't mention the dark ritual specifically. At least I get to travel throught the portal with her, I suppose Image IPB

Also: If anyone thought Hawke was the Warden's and Morrigan's child, I'm afraid it isn't so. Morrigan mentions, if she had the baby, that it is male.

Quickly give us a rundown of your playthrough then. Did you romance her? Get a ring? Talk to her in Denerim (the optional conversation that starts out as "So you have something to say, do you")
What epilogues did you get.

Go through everything.

After the botched Morrigan epilogue slides in Awakening, I can't say I was surprised once Morrigan started talking about how my Warden denied her when he didn't. It just really ruins the DLC, since the whole draw of the thing is being able to ask Morrigan questions and with the bugged ending, youcan't ask her relevant questions- at all.

They really need to get their import system squared away because it sucks and if we're importing things into DA2, DA3 and beyond to shape Thedas, I don't want some botched ending screwing up future games.

I have the bug on xbox and my character is female so no romance.... The romance can not be the cause of the bug.

I personally don't know what you could've missed... did you get to a conversation where she calls you a "miserable, selfish bastard!"? I haven't seen anyone mention that...

The whole botched ending is like watching a great movie, getting to the climactic final scene.... and then the whole movie blacks out and everyone starts speaking Latin. I know Victor said the team is aware, but I really hope they get on it quicker than they've gotten around to patches in the past.

For a DLC whose main point is confronting Morrigan, when the climactic scene is totally wrong for many people, thats a huge freakin' problem.

What was that? Was that a proper ending?..No questions were answered..i didnt get the bug but still i was expecting a better epilogue.. The game ended and i remained speechless.Come on , don't ruin the complexity of the game in such an awfull manner

Got the ending I wanted: I didn't romance Morrigan or go through the DR and she ended my warden story flying through the portal with a knife in the ribs.

I'm playing through with a different save now, but honestly... I was so pumped for that final scene but it just completely swept the rug from under me when she said i denied her at redcliffe. Either way im not sure what save to use now, its all pretty confusing

well thatguy 212, the only things I did differently were:

Mages, Elves, Killed Loghain, made Alistair king. That was it. Everything involving Morrigan I did exactly the same as you.

So...anyone want to start a thread regarding where the "portal mirror" goes, why Morrigan wants to go through it, and the significance of your choices (like the dark ritual, whether or not the Warden followed her through, etc.)

Question: Can you really stab her as she goes through the portal?! I have no intention of doing so, but is it true?

That was incredibly short and anticlimactic. I didn't hit any bugs or logic flaws, but that ending blew.

Darn!!!! I wish I had of read this before I JUST purchased the dlc. Two dlc fails at once!? On top of that I can't say I'm too fond of hearing about the bad ending.....I think I'll not play it and imagine the end the way I see it. *sigh* The first time I've been let down by Bioware....first time for everything I suppose...
