As I Said I’m pretty disappointed of these DLC and pretty much agreed most opinion against it here.
But I’m pretty sure, even more now, after playing WH, that hank is my warden son (yes, yes I know he left Lothering before it was destroyed), but maybe he was send to the past by some magic or something like that, I’m sure bioware has find some way, after all the trailer is called destiny Child and it is Flemeth voice...

My humble opinion, please don’t destroy it.

Sorry Matn but It's official. Hawke ain't your baby and the DR isn't canon.

http://social.biowar...1/index/3064634

check it out for further info.

As David Gaider put it in a previous post to speed things up for ya.

"May I put this to rest?

If the player didn't do the Dark Ritual,
or didn't get Alistair or Loghain to do it, then it wasn't done. Had
Morrigan figured out some way to otherwise do it, then nobody would
have died when the Archdemon was slain.
If she had some way to go about getting the Archdemon's soul without
resorting to the Dark Ritual as she proposed it, then why did she go
through all the trouble?

We could
undoubtedly come up with some complex Plan B on Morrigan's part whereby
she gets the Archdemon's soul but has to do something far more
terrible-- but a) that removes the player's agency in the biggest
single choice of Origins and B) would probably be pretty lame."

/end Gaider quote

And you did say that the people here seemed cranky like those from the ME2 forums. Is that not basically the same thing?

They key differential word here is "like".

As for the DLC... BioWare called it the 'dramatic conclusion to Origins'. Or something of that nature. They definitely advertised it as the 'dramatic conclusion'. So why shouldn't I expect more from it?

Yes, I am annoyed that it wasn't as conclusive. But I also went in knowing it wouldn't be. For the reasons I have already listed.

Nothing concerning video games is really required, but BioWare said all along that they'd be periodically adding new content to Dragon Age that furthered the story and added to it. I think it's quite reasonable to have expected more from DLC that's supposed to be the conclusion for Origins.

But a DLC is still ancillary. And ancillary, unlike what J.J. Abrams seems to think, is never required reading. So the fact that it was promoted as a conclusion is a moot point here.

And yes, your assertation was rather rude because you're talking about an entire group of people in a thread you've only just joined not long ago.

Who said I was talking about one thread? My initial post kind of gave away that I was not.

When I said that we, as customers, have a right to complain I was not only referring to the bugs in Witch Hunt.

I know what you were referring to. I was responding with that fact that BioWare was responding to customer complaints. About the story not syncing.

Man you gotta love these pointless cliffhangers.

You don't know if it's pointless or not until you see the solution of the cliffhanger.

your movement is successful or not....can I join?

Of course you can! A.D.A.M isn't just for people who will not be purchasing the game. All we want is to save those aspects of Dragon Age: Origins that we loved. You are more than welcome! ^_^

Here's a random hint, if you didn't do the DR and you kill morrigan in the dlc the book at the end is green with a White circle on it. If you do the DR or spare her life then you get a black book. Try both endings and you will see the difference.

@Theagg:

Yes, I do agree with the fact that they "gave up" on their original direction bothers me.  For Mass Effect, it works; I don't know why, but having someone voice Shepard works.  But when it comes to Dragon Age?  No....I don't want that character voiced.

You are right about not wanting your Warden to make a cameo in DA 2.  I don't want that either.  The only way I want my Warden involved in DA is to be the main character.

That they would give up on their original intent and style for the game ( a style they felt reflected their core values in RPG game design, as Zeschuk implied ) is perplexing. Did they truly feel they had made a mistake in DA: O ? On what grounds, was there mass protest ? Did they bow to pressure from gamers who felt the silent warden was not a pleasure to play ? But given dedicated old school RPG'ers would most likely not feel that 'silence' was a problem of any sort, and since thats who the game was aimed at, it seems unlikely.

Was it just in some sense that the current flavour for Bioware games, the identity they now want to present, is that of their games as a cinematic experience, a la Mass Effect, so the change to DA was made for those reasons ? All their game styles now regressing to the mean so to speak. A decision by committee that every car had to be black from now on ?

But throwing away those core values so early in the series run doesn't endear me to Bioware as they push forward. DA 2 might be an entertaining experience but it won't be the same kind of experience. And thus it won't feel connected to the first.

Personally I don't want Dragon Age to become a cinematic experience. It works fine for Mass Effect but thats perhaps because ME started out that way. Maybe too, the space opera format works best like that ? Space is a big place, so the big screen treatment works to the games advantage and the player gets to be the director.

That's the difference, perhaps...

Erm, well not really. I don't think they're counting those short one liners during combat.

Other than those sparse phrases shouted as battle cries in combat, the Warden was a silent hero. When he spoke to anyone there was no voice, save for the voice of those speaking to the Warden. The little bit in combat didn't hurt player immersion the way a fully voiced character might have.

I don't think the 'in combat' expletives ( Mine were 'sultry' ) count. Except as 'sound effects'.

You mean the battle crys? "can I get you a ladder so you can get off my back" Only if you press the A button more than once. Ha.

It's not as if you click on. "Then you die." and the warden goes off into a big sentence about something completely different like Shepard.

For the entirety of my first play through I thought Alistair just wouldn't shut up. Then I remembered having chosen a voice.

A character talking is a sound effect. Of course.

Regardless of the amount of dialogue, you picked your character's voice at the beginning of the game.

The Warden was voiced.

Any argument against Hawke being voiced is, quite frankly, flawed.
