People people. Our Warden will be back. At the very least David Gaider is thinking about writing him back in. And at the most he has already decided that he will, in fact, be bringing our Warden back again. I just tried to find the link (it's on these forums somewhere) but in the Live Video Q&A he did at Pax, between 3-4 mins in he does a cheeky - complete with knowing smile - allude, along the lines of, "Maybe the Warden will be back. I'm an optimist, so I'm just hoping David wasn't playing Devils Advocate. I don't want to get my hopes up too much because of this. But, to me, it looks like there was something to be gleaned from the comment. I'm just hoping beyond hope.

Thanks for the info. I'm partway through, and am reluctant to continue if my storyline is going to go haywire.TheLion36 wrote...
I think they have a patch in the making. Last I heard it was actually working, but it was still in the beta testing phase and therefore (afaik), hasn't been released to the public yet.jonv1234 wrote...
I was informed that thae bugs had been fixed. This is a fallacy? a pipe dream? a losing fantasy?

Will this patch appear on the patch page or the DLC page??

(This is a spoiler BEWARE THERE IS NO TURNING BACK!)
I would honestly believe that mori has this child of ours, yes ours since we have ALL mated with mori some point or another, to prepair to defeat flemith and embrace his destiny, as she says when you mention the son that he has a huge destiny and what flemith says in the DA2 trailer matches that perfectly, not only considering that mori confirms herself that you have a SON and it is prob the man in the trailer hence all the special abilities he pulls on that goat guy. Not to mention also that Mori said "Change" was coming; "Change is coming and most people fear change." quoted form mori but then quoted from flemith: "Men who embrace their destiny "CHANGE" and raise empires and destroy kings."
....your son has to be that champion in the coming DA2, dialog and events have all but confirmed it for me... my question is... weather or not son will meet the father, and if he does...what will happen?
My warden gets to meet his son Seen i whent with mori. Hes gonna train him how to Fight

What was the purpose of the child? Morri says to fight flemeth, but the question is how? Especially since if you didn't do the dark ritual she says it doesn't matter, she can still accomplish her goals.
Why just flee after the battle? All she says is she warned you she would.
Granted all of these things (my main questions) would probably be answered in the sequels, provided DA3 even happens (I assume there would have to be a catastrophe for it to not happen, but you never know).
Then more questions were started:
What is Flemeth?
What is this change coming?
What exactly is that mirror? Where does the mirror go?
These were the teasers for DA2.
So like I said, when people jumped down my throat about autobiography, and such, I didn't hate the DLC (well I did at first because of the bug). Just that it wasn't all it could be because the part with Morrigan was so 'lack-luster', more along the lines of, thanks for paying for this, please buy DA2. Especially if you take into account that if you didn't romance morrigan (and go through the mirror) then that is it for your warden.
Sort of like: "Oh cool to see you Morrigan, yup you can go, have fun, CREDITS!"
My friends who didn't romance Morrigan are royally peeved because all they can think is: "that's it? That's my Warden's ending?" They were hoping for something slightly more dramatic I guess. Note I say 'they' because I did Romance her, I was happy with my ending

Too answer your questions (note she didn't say this herself but I'm taking educated guesses). The OGB would be raised to help her fight Flemmeth and this would be accomplished by raising it too be a ultra powerful mage alongside herself. She did say she was preparing. If you didn't do the ritual then she's just building her own power up. And she made Flemmeth out to be incredibly dangerous and powerful, and acts like Flemmeth wants to get too her. I would assume based on the facts she's not strong enough to fight her, and should Flemmeth come hunting she would lose. Would you rather train out in the open where your predators can catch you vulnerable. Or go into seclusion to build strength so when the time comes you can be ready?
Like I said it's just educated guesses but based on how she acted and what I saw I'd say that'd be the most accurate. Not all answers are spoken with words after all.

Disappointed that they decided to bulk and make a quick DLC that really answers nothing. Really the only point that can transfer over to DA:2 from Witch hunt is the NPC's talking about the Warden going into a portal with the witch of the wilds.
IMO Morrigan's story deserves a full expansion pack, not just because she had the child with your GW but its a huge foundation towards DA:2.
I think most people will agree that Morrigan's story need more than a DLC.
I think most people need to realize that this DLC is meant solely to span the gap between DA:O and DA:2. The whining and complaining in here is ridiculous. What most people seem to forget is that Bioware doesn't actually have their heads collectively stuck in the sand, and that they (contrary to popular belief) are not improvising this series as they go along.
People who bought Witch Hunt: what were you expecting for $7? There was absolutely no-way Bioware was going to ruin this story with a 1 hour DLC. The entire point of Witch Hunt was to tie up loose ends. And no matter -what- conclusion your Warden created for him/herself, the end result was always the same: Morrigan, one way or another, is dealt with.
I for one, am glad Bioware doesn't comply with all the pitchfork wielding posters here: if they had it their way, each DA game would be about 2-3 hours in length with little or no improvement upon the previous installment whatsoever. Instead of expanding on the universe, we would all be relegated to one person's POV... and that sucks.
It's more than obvious Morrigan's story doesn't end here. Bioware actually has the mental capacity to look further ahead down the road, instead of just at their own two feet, which is what most posters are currently doing. They know just how compelling the Dark Ritual is- which is why they've planned it so that all of it's encompassing consequences/results will span the DA series accodingly.
Guys, please don't misunderstand me- I loved my Warden. Dallan Amell is possibly the most memorable PC I've ever created within the realms of gaming. It's great to see the job Bioware did with this game (how attached everyone is to their Wardens), but life in Thedas goes on. Please, just give DA 2 a chance before you roast it. If you play it and you absolutely hate it, that's fine by me: you will have been justified in your anger. But until then, can we just assume Bioware knows what they're doing?
Despite what you said here I still think the Witch Hunt was badly written and put together. And, you are right Bioware has better sense, however, they again miss the mark. IT WAS CHEESY AT BEST.
In the interest of freedom of speech, I also puchased the Liara D'Soni DLC for ME2 and have yet to play it. Most likely that will be a disappointment too: and that one retailed for $10. That's an expectation grown on previous DLC's put out by Bioware.Incidentally, I have spent approximately a couple of hundred of dollars between these two games combined: another point of contention, I might add.

I'm certain it's just some sort of promotional ploy to try and get as many people to buy DA:2 when it's released (and pre-order) and before people read game reviews from those who have actually played it after it's release and realize it's crap (just like with Awakening).

As we already know, DA2 takes place over a 10 year span, part of which overlaps with Origins. We will get to see events that have happened in Origins but from a different vantage point. For example, we may see the death of the ArchDemon like Bann Teagan did from afar but it will be Hawke witnessing the death of the AD from his vantage point.
I envision that Hawke may see our Warden at the Coronation but not be able to interact with him/her. Or see our Warden parading past the throngs in Ferelden. Just a cameo at best.

Given how Witch Hunt ends though, assuming Morrigan shows up in DA3 or has a role to play there, I would hope the Warden is back as well to deal with the consequences.

I think one problem could be that all my characters had the bug, so she wouldn't tell me much. Which is why I always have to say "bug aside" hehe.

I think the thing with the Warden Gaider was alluding to in the PAX chat is more for DA3 and beyond rather than the Warden appearing in DA2. At best the Warden will be mentioned in DA2 or in some vague cameo- the problem with even a normal cameo is that DA2 uses a new face morph system so conceivably, they wouldn't be able to just import our Warden's face into DA2.
Given how Witch Hunt ends though, assuming Morrigan shows up in DA3 or has a role to play there, I would hope the Warden is back as well to deal with the consequences.
Exactly my friend. It's obvious the Warden won't be in DA2. This is what I meant.
