macrocarl- Your character is giving me nightmares. She's like Mimi's axe weilding, dragon slaying alter-ego. Frightening! LOL
Mimi from the Drew Carey show to clarify if confused.

Thanks! I worked way to long on making her look as awful as possible. Image IPB
Hey about Witch Hunt, not the bugs, since there's no end save, have any of you tried attacking her if you romanced her. It becomes abundantly clear how evil the warden is. I tried last night out of curiosity. Man that's some cold s**t! I can see why people would think it's rather abrupt if you didn't romance Morrigan. For us that did though it's pretty satisfying
I also think it SMOKED Golums and had WAY more emotion than LoTSB. How come even though ME2 is set in the future, everyone is made out of wood?

Well, since there is absolutely NO info about the patch anywhere I guess another day goes by and NO patch! On the last contact (Sounds like the intro to the Twilight Zone, lol), we were told it could possibly be released this morning, but more probable late this afternoon, with Friday more or less the drop dead date. Since all they were allegedly doing is compiling the patch, I can't see what all the time is being used. I would have thought if they were not going to release today, we would have at least received an update. Since we have NOT received any word, I am not feeling good about a release tomorrow and I forsee the release now coming out next week (PC), meaning another week has bit the dust and I have NOT been able to play the game I bought over a week now ago (Corrected, got carried away, LOL).

Does this record sound familiar to anybody?? Reminds me of the Aerosmith Song, "Same Old Song and Dance"................

**NOTE:  I went back and reread Fernando posting from yesterday.  In his posting (See Below) he states:  I'll do an update tomorrow to confirm a release date/time..."  So, I wonder why he did not do as he said he would?  This paints a dismal picture in my book.  Anyone desire to provide their spin on this conundrum??????

Fernando's post from yesterday:
"Still working on this - the issue (and fixes) are not as straight forward as they appear, so apologies for the delay.
We believe we have now solved the remaining issues and the latest patch is being created now for all platforms to go into testing tonight and tomorrow.  If successful, we may be able to launch the PC patch either tomorrow afternoon or friday morning (Mountain time). Console patches will go into certification at that time as well.

I'll do an update tomorrow to confirm a release date/time.  Thank you again for your patience.

Not sure if I'm misreading but Witch hunt has only been out for a week. Not even close to a month.

You should first work on your own reading comprehension. Seriously. No argue that support for DAO/DAA surely went downhil since 1.03, but *female dog* please...

I can't see the Warden again. He is dead. Now unless you are saying Bioware is going to ret-con a huge choice in Dragonage and make one specific course of events canon then I am saying that, while I don't mind seeing the Warden again, it is impossible since he's dead....seems pretty logical to me. The only thing illogical is to assume that any one person's choices in the game that you think should be canon supercede another person's choices. That defeats the entire theory of these types of games.

I am not saying that this is what you are proposing. Merely that you interjected in a response I was making to someone who WAS saying this.

Well, no that definitely shouldn't happen and would probably be worse than not being able to see the Warden at all.  Maybe I should have acquainted myself with the conversation better.  If that' what was being said, then please excuse me.  It's just such a stupid suggestion that I'd never have thought that's what you were referring to.  But yeah... Warden appearance for the ones who survived. *toots horn*

About the patch, does this mean it won't be up on PSN until next Thursday or whenever it is they update the thing?  Because that sucks.

Well, I'm happy we got an update from Fernando, but disappointed that now we have to wait until Monday, and that is probably a crap shoot. But guess, before Thanksgiving. Now we have to redownload the entire DLC, rather than afixing a patch. The story goes, on and on and on and on...............................................................................GGGGGGGRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I havent played DA for a week, just so disappointed in this ending, which broke the realism of my Warden's story. I keep popping up in these forums to see the status of the patch and I see still nothing out yet(for PS3). Everyday I care less and less about DA. I think I will continue my game of Zelda Twilight Princess I had put away a long time ago, I doubt I can be disappointed with that ending.

So if they're just releasing another DLC again, it's less red tape then Patches right?

I've been skimming also to avoid spoilers, but it appears a major choice made with morigan in DA-Origins is not carrying over properly into Witch Hunt DLC.  There also appears to be a problem with the DLCs final automatic save which should be used to carry over your Witch Hunt decisions into Dragon Age 2.

[UPDATE]
Based on postings by BioWare staff, we expect (ok, hope  for) a PC fix on Monday, and for the console platforms after Sony and MS complete the certification processes they require for anything on their boxes.
(See:  http://social.biowar...30386/1#4818299 for the latest word from BioWare.) [/UPDATE]

If you made certain decisions in DA:O, those decisions, (and their consequences) may not be accurately referenced or incorporated into the dialogue and options available to you at the end of Witch Hunt.

The "bug" is that all of the relevant plot flags for your Warden have been reset to their "default" DA:O  end-states, and you have absolutely no way of recognizing that this happened until you reach the last scene in WH.

This issue seems to surface more frequently (perhaps exclusively?) if the Warden you're playing in WH  were imported (whether or not via DA:A  and/or GoA) from a save that was created AFTER the final scripted scene in DA:O.  It was technically possible to keep playing at that point.  Not that there was very much to do, but it allowed you to re-distribute equipment so that your Warden "kept the best" when you imported your PC into the next module.

I don't think any of my questions about Morrigan and what she did for a full year was answered. If anything this DLC felt like it was promoting DA2. I feel like I seriously wasted my money.

So far the only three DLCs I felt were worth their value are Stone Prisoner, Warden's Keep and Leliana Song. All the others don't really add anything really worth wild to DAO.

As an XBox360 player who avoided all the weird 'flag' bugs that makes the Morrigan romance buggy, I can say that if you romanced her you'll like it. Yes I agree with MEBengal2008 in that there is a foreshadowing for DA2, but it is an ending. Or probably more of a hiatus to be honest.

If BW keeps hammering out games in 2 years time (which was a normal wait for a new game circa 2009 and before) we'll get more adventures for our Warden. Or at the very least hear more about her/ his influence on our game decisions.

Just to say it again on this page, I do think it's abrupt for peeps who chose certain paths for their warden. Maybe too sudden? I like to think the writers realize this on some level and players will have satisfaction in some way or another. They seem to be doing sequels and DLC in a *very* different way. I say lets see how it plays out. Might just be totally brilliant in the end. :)

No worries. I am merely trying to give a counterpoint to all the people talking about the DR like it is canon or something.

For the folks that don't like searching, here is the latest and greatest from the DAO Guru himself (Being said as a great credit for what he does and is doing, KEEPING his WORD):

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fernando's Message for today:
Another busy day, but much better news to report this time:
PC: On track for Monday, aiming for usual DLC release time (10-11AM Mountain Time).
We'll have an update including the instructions on Monday (just in case), but everything is looking good for this to go out as planned.
X360: Has gone to certification!
I'll post an update once we hear back from MS on how it is doing, and when they expect to release it publicly.
PS3: On track to go to certification this weekend!
Similarly, I'll update everyone once we hear from Sony on release dates.
Have a good weekend folks.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well in as much as I hate to wait and I think I'm NOT alone in that camp, I must say that Fernando has done a spectacular job of keeping us, the masses, informed and updated.  Hey this guy goes into the lions dean daily and subjects himself to all sorts of violent acts of carnage, but what else could possibly happen in the world of Dragon Age!  So Fernando, I give you my Knightly tipping of the brim of my hat sir!Image IPB

Have a great weekend all and lets hope we have a joyess Monday Afternoon of playing WH Image IPB

I kind of expected him to get ripped a new one because he WAS updating us.  The delays he outlined are quite common and the main reason they DON'T usually give us patch dates in advance.  It was refreshing....
