So if I open up the post game save in say awakenings or something, will I have Morrigan's gift?
If you are referring to the Witchcraft DLC items from Witch Hunt, yes, for any new character or existing character that you load up, these items should appear in their inventory.
Of course, you had to have completed Witch Hunt and earned the necessary achievements beforehand. Also, after getting the achievements, you have to log on to the DA servers (ie Log on to your account within the game) in order to authourize the achievements.

Where is the post game save? If I try to load a savegame with a char that finished the DLC I can't see such a thing.
Right after you finish the DLC, load a game and look in the folder for that character (maybe there are multiple folders?). It should be the last autosave. Or you can just use "resume" from the main menu.
However, loading this autosave is pretty useless. All it will do is load, and then immediately end, the DLC, going right to the credits.
There is no way to find out what the item "of great interest" is. It's just a tease, and presumably a way to let DA2 know what choices you made in the DLC.

Any news on when the save at the end of witch hunt will be completed?

I'm not really sure what your question is or if you've looked through this thread.
For PC, WH 1.1 has been released. It gives a save at the end. It does not let you reload the game and check your character after the save point.
WH 1.1 for consoles are forthcoming.

I don't have such an autosave. Do you have to redo the DLC to get such a file, because I used my char from the old version of WH?

Well, you have to re-play the final scene of WH, since the autosave occurs at end of it.Bfler wrote...

And, (as pointed out elsewhere in this thread) the save isn't "useless" in two situations (well, there's also a special case that might be considered a third, but anyone doing that would already recognize it):
1) You created a new Warden for WH, and are planning to use that Warden in any other EP/DLC.
You need the save from this point in WH to ensure you have the correct inventory and stats going into the next one.
2) It is possible that DA2 (and even, perhaps, DA3) may "read" the end-state settings of this (or any/all other EP/DLC it finds on the player's system) to select Codex Entries or other elements of the "situation" in Thedas to match your choices here in front of the Eluvian.

Witch Hunt, the last DLC add-on for Dragon Age: Origins, has been released! Experience the final chapter as the Grey Warden pursues Morrigan and the secrets she carries.
Note: Witch Hunt is now available for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in North America. It will be released during the afternoon on September 8, 2010 on the European PlayStation Network.
I wish I could find the quote that someone from BioWare had said nbot to long ago that they were going to make several more downloads.
I tried to find it too, I suspect they deleted it... ninja style:ph34r:
It is more than a bit irritating to know that suddenly Witch Hunt is announced as the last download content for Dragon Age Origins.
Worse yet, it wasn’t even that good in my opinion with the reused locations (some I expected) and Morigan‘s short dialog and appearance with another sudden ending quest.

I found this on another forum titled: 'Does anyone else feel like we've been lied to?' In the DAorigins forums.

Like what, so Bioware's promises have 'expiration dates' now? We don't mind if DA2 is delayed to make the last bit of Origins more epic, atleast we know dragon age 2 is coming out eventually but once you stop on Origins and work on DA2 that's it, no new content. Sure there is the fan made projects but that is for the PC users, what about the consel users?
So Bioware's promises become 'outdated' eventually... good to know.

Off topic a bit but reminds me of tv shows that they keep producing instead of stopping the series when it starts getting ridiculous plot points(the office, BSG, big bang theory, etc)
At least the DA developers stopped before it got worst. Kudos!!!

-Thanks for finding that. With remarks like that aimed at the consumers (us gamers) as well as all the bugs the Dragon Age games have had, I have to wonder just how much support BioWare will get when DA2 comes out.standardpack wrote...

Chris Priestly's comment feels like a slap in the face to me saying “Sorry we don’t care to support a game that’s a year old or its expansion even though the game still has a lot of life to the people who liked it.” or shortly put “Screw you, go buy Dragon Age 2.”
-True only one download was actually worth getting and that was Soldiers Peak. The rest are vapor ware crap quality content in my opinion with reused locations and more bugs to add to the game to fix. I would have liked to have seen more content never the less to see if anyone can make better download content and expand on the Warden’s adventures after Origins or Awakenings. Funny how Mass Effect 2 downloads have been slowly (very slowly) getting better but the Dragon Age ones have pretty much stank from the start.Guldan323 wrote...
Hmm, do you guys really have an issue with not having any more DLCs?? With that quality they should have stopped a while ago.

The problem I have is that we were told that we would get more content and now on a whim they decide to kill that and screw the gamers. You cant tell me that BioWare didn’t know when Dragon Age 2 was going to be released along with the little insert they put in Awakenings for 02.01.2011.
Personally I’m getting tired of getting screwed and disapointed all the time by this company which is to bad since I had considered getting the Old Republic game.

You can see this is true because of the poor quality of the dlc's and I think Witch Hunt sums up the dire quality of gameplay and story because its a pisstake.
All it has taught me about the Dragon Age series (not mass effect because they know how to deliver good stuffs) is NOT no bother with dlc, or at least wait to see the views, reviews and comments before purchase.
Selling us the epilogue of the Warden/Morrigan story with this awful dlc, because lets face it, it WAS awful, has left me at least regarding the Dragon Age devs with a bit of scepticism and lawl.

Pretty much sums up my feelings.
I loved the new characters, enjoyed the change-of-pace with both some of the baddies and some of the puzzles, and appreciated that (especailly after the v1.1 "fix", although I didn't have any issues before then) everyone could get whatever ending s/he expected/wanted.
But it was much too short.
Regarding "But we wuz promised 2 years of DLC..." Whadda' whine! Consider DA2 as "DA-EP2", if it makes you feel better. And if you really didn't like EP1 (aka DA:A) then you should be glad they scrapped the stuff that wasn't working and went for a "brand new and exciting story set in Thedas." Oh, and if DA:O for the PC had been released on its initially established date of March 2009, instead of being being shelved to await the console versions (RTM version was ready, EA Marketing said they wanted the simultaneous release) then the DA2 launch in March 2011 is.... wait for it ... Two Years afterwards.
So we got:
TSP (which was originally supposed to be the first post-Launch DLC)
RtO (delayed from pre- to post-Holidays 2009)
DA:A
FeastDay crap (doesn't count, even though I have it)
DC ("The DLC Which Must Not Be Named")
LS
GoA
-- and --
WH
Six "real" additions to the story and one "Alternate Reality" perspective in eighteen months, (given the Mar 09 schedule.) PLUS the next big piece of the adventure is, apparently, coming ahead of schedule!
I think BioWare kept their word as well as anyone could when projecting that far into the uncertain creative and business future.
