Have to disagree.  Didn't find WH  at all "awful".  Just not long enough for me. 

I would have liked another hour-or-so of gameplay.  Maybe one more location (to complete the triad from Origins) or something that explained the relationship between the Dwarves and the refugees from Arlathan in more detail.

But as far as it went, it was great!

I would use the word underwhelming to the poor DLC that is WH. This was as they put it, the last DLC for DA:O and I kept expecting something major to happen. Actually I was very suspicious of the Dalish elf who joined me, expecting it was Flemeth disguise and using me to find Morrigan until it became clear it couldn't be Flemeth.



I was still expecting Flemeth to pop when I found Morrigan but still NOTHING happened. I only played WH once and that was enough for me. Compare that to the Lair of the Shadow Broker and I went through that dlc 6 times within 2 days using different characters, trying different story options and to see if I missed anything.



I was happy to see Morrigan again but other than that, this dlc was nothing to write home about.

Can someone tell me what this secret is Morrigan carries? And when do I get all my Morrigan questions answered? I played the DLC and I didn't get alot, no wait that's a lie. I got to know what sex the godbaby is!

you know i took 6 hours going over forums and downloading and installing oops that was wrong did it again and again and again and then SHAZZAAMMM!!!!! i got it . i go to play the game to play witch hunt and then it says that im unathorized I BOUGHT THIS GAME WHEN IT RELEASED IVE HAD THE SAME USER NAME AND PASSWORD AND NOW IT SAYS IM UNATHORIZED TO PLAY A 1 HOUR ADD ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i sure would like to play what i paid for please let me know how i can become authorized to play what I paid for thanks: !

And I heard that David Gaider wrote Witch Hunt, I wonder if it was his intention to also write, 'answers revealed' or whatever they had up when WH was first revealed hinting that we would have more than ONE measly question answered.

Bought Witch Hunt a week ago, just got around to playing it. Biggest stinking turd I've ever had the displeasure of paying for. Honestly, it would have been more fun to bong a Schlitz than play this drivel.



Ugh, Bioware, if you want me to buy any future DLC for ME3 or DAO2, you'd better step up your game; give a product worth paying for. Oh, also, scrap the current payment system. It blows. Let me just use a debit card directly, none of these Bioware points crap.

I got WH the day it was released on the Xbox 360. they still haven't released the damn patch for it yet, so it doesn't recognise the dark ritual my pc performed.



very very disappionting dlc. the weakest yet, should have been the strongest. it was the one everyone wanted, and it did not deliver.



I have no real complaint about the gameplay. I quite enjoyed it, it was a good little hack nslash. but the ending was awful. Morrigan was a major player in D.A and deserved a major, explosive ending. it left me with more questions than answers. like an episode of Lost. the hype and build up and anticipation far outweighed the conclusion.

Well, it looks like the patch for the console users should be up within the next couple of days, at least according to Fernando in the WH update news thread. Looking forward to replaying WH and getting the right ending this time.

I've already made a new character and finished him through Awakenings, Orgins and Golems just to make the save points at the end game instead of after the kill so I could finally play WH and see what it was like with her recognizing the DR. ><

I was seriously disappointed in the lack of depth and length of this dlc. I know it was only seven dollars, but even that seemed a bit much for what we got. Not to mention it really doesn't offer any sort of closure at all... It's just an advertisement for DA2. I've never seen Bioware release an obviously lacking DLC before, so hopefully this will be the first and last time it happens.

I'm big on a second chances so of course I'll be buying DA2, but if the DLC and/or expansions (I'm playing on PC) released for the sequel are anything like Witchhunt it will be the last Bioware product I buy.

On aside note, does anyone else think mass Effect is overhyped and generally overrated? I've only played the first game and only about half way through... quit atfer that. Is the second one worth playing? Is it a bi gimprovement over the original? Is it more worth my time/money if I finish the first game first for story tie ins?If the last is true I won't be buying ME2 because I don't think I could stand playing through the first.

Mass Effect 1 & 2 are great. I actually prefer the first one because the storyline is a lot stronger. To answer your question, Mass Effect 2 is far far over-hyped for what it is, and yes I'm still a huge ME fan.

Mass Effect 1 has alot  more shock value in its storyline, like in Ilos when you find out more about the Reapers and Protheans and the Conduit. But Mass Effect 2 is alot more personal, and as a whole (it's sidequests and such) it's much better. I recently played both in a single run, and you get really surprised at how much better the second one is. 

Anyhow, MS hasn't released the patch yet? Bummer.

People were so disapointed with Witch Hunt that even Darkspawn cronicles got better reviews. Witch Hunt is better than Darkspawn cronicles, far is better, but it's not great either. Very disapointing, I expected more. I got no questions answered either.



Morrigan's ending tale with the Warden deserved more than that.

Im glad I got to finish the story off with morrigan(I chose to go with her) but really what questions were answered and what was that special gift she gives you with the book if you choose the latter options. I was really expecting more for the last endeavour with the warden story, I feel like I was robbed. I hope this will have some impact on DA2 or even DA3 b/c I'm not quite ready to say goodbye to my warden character

Yes, it was short, but still wonderfully written and the party banter had so much charm in it. As for Morrigan, she was a good friend to my warden and the ending was bittersweet. But the point is - this is clearly a setting for much larger event in the whole history of Thedas and I can't wait to see how all of this will play out in the future DA installments.

I dont think they are all bad reviews, I personally liked it. I think its more to do with the fact that it raises more questions then answers.

Sorry if this has been addressed before, searched through and couldn't find an answer.  I just finished playing through Witch Hunt and loaded a different save afterwards expecting to see special items for completing WH (like Battledress of Provocateur for LS).  Are there special items for existing games or do I need to start a new game to see them?  Thanks.
