Just a think about the bugged ending....
I have played the DLC from the Origins DVD. Could someone confirm if the bug occurs also if you play from the Awakening DVD?? It's just a suggestion....
The PC I played it with (XBOX version) played Awakening and Golems . . .and got the big bug for his trouble, and my $7.
Way to go, Bioware.
Hi. My character imported played also Awakening and Golems. But what I asked was if you played the DLC with the DVD of Origins or with the DVD of Awakening on the console ;-)
Still can't figure out how you didn't get a bugged ending mate, many people (including me) did exactly what you did except for a few plot decisions (i.e. elves or werewolves) and we are all bugged. So damn strange.

The fundamental problems with this DLC are twofold:
1.) All the marketing claims that we'll get answers or secrets revealed from Morrigan. Or that Morrigan's fate will be revealed. Ok, so having played it, can you honestly say you know anything more about Morrigan's plans or her fate than before? You can't. Its another cliffhanger ending that might clarify a couple details about the DR in Origins but it mostly tosses on about a dozen more questions. Questions we likely won't get answers to until DA3 or whenever Morrigan shows back up.
2.) The whole point of this DLC is to confront Morrigan and that the "version" of Morrigan you meet is the same one you interacted with in Origins. For MANY people, the Morrigan reunion is terribly bugged. The core feature of the DLC is broken.
Now its not a bad DLC, especially if you don't get the bugs, but the marketing is patently false and the core feature of the DLC doesn't work for many people. Thats a big problem, IMO.
Some parts I think were ok. For example, half way through I was expecting Morrigan to just leave us behind again but this time you get to choose to go with her. But still like you said, Bioware wrote right on the site in black and white 'Morrigan's secrets revealed', end result bioware didn't deliver. But hopefully I've spoken too soon and morrigan reveals some stuff once she recognizes you did the ritual with her since I currently have the bug, but I doubt it.

Here were the specs of the game I imported for my first Witch Hunt playthrough:
-Romanced Morrigan
-Did the Dark Ritual
-Did not speak to Morrigan before the Archdemon battle (and therefore did not get the Regret epilogue card)
-kept the ring on for the rest of Origins since receiving it
-played Awakening, kept the ring on the entire time minus the first Architect encounter in Awakening and therefore got the romance epilogue card in Awakening.
Thats everything I remember offhand. Best of luck to the Dragon Age team. Hopefully they can figure out a fix/patch for this so that I can fully enjoy what the DLC has to offer.

A cliffhanger only works if you intend to follow it up- with no Warden and no Morrigan in DA2, we'll be waiting a bit for any answers.

Hmm, it's short, 2 dimensional, does not deliver on the very thing that attracted us to it, bugged all to hell (apparently, I have encountered no such bugs on any of my wardens).
Sounds like a complelling argument that this is, in fact, a very bad DLC.

*Spoilers*
Origins started the ball rolling, with the numerous continuity bugs that could only be fixed with mods. Then came the additional content. The first to fail the continuity check, was of course, Awakenings. I made the ultimate sacrifice, so my choice was to import a dead character or start a new one. The first option is stupid, so the second has to do. Except you can't import the decisions your first warden made into a game where you create a new character. Awesome. Then we have Lilian's Song, whose backstory doesn't even match up to the one we learned about in Origins. Doing great guys! Golems, which had no real plot points from other DLCs/main game, escaped having to deal with continuity. Now to Morrigan's DLC. What's the *first bloody thing* that is heard when starting the DLC? "... 'Don't follow me.' I said, yet the Warden searched, even so. Some doors should never be reopened." Now, comming from the perspective of my Orleasian Warden, what the hell is she talking about? She didn't tell *this* warden to do anything. She hasn't even met him. Way to kill imersion in the second sentence uttered in the DLC. Good job, Bioware! I haven't even played it yet, but first impressions suggest a train wreck. We'll see how it goes from here.
*End Spoilers*
I supported this franchise all the way. Bought every DLC, despite the numerous flaws. Why? Because I thought they would improve things. Sadly, I have yet to see it. Bioware is making it REALLY HARD for me to care about this franchise. Besides all the steamlining they are doing for DA2, Bioware can't even keep their own plot lines straight to even appease the masses that are into the role playing aspect of the game. i.e. Character development in story. So DA2 is supposed to import all your decisions from the current DLC, but they can't even get that right between the DLC themselves. What's left to be excited for over DA2?

I have to admit, it was funny seing sandal again... but did anyone else but me notice that his voice was off? Was that the original voice actor for sandal?

Well I have to say I'am pretty pissed about this dlc,but that was kinda expected since, you know, dragon age dlc kinda sucked(Shale was awesome, but that was because the character had awesome dialogue, not like zaeed/katsumi).As expected the dlc is fairly short, about 2 hours of gameplay, and extremely easy(way easier than the golem one).
Every single environements of the game are recycled, there is'nt a single one new of any sort.To this dlc defense,I don't care, but some people might,so it's worth mentionning. You basicly visit 4 environements, flemeth house, where you find you first companion, then you go the circle where you find you mage companion,as well as the enchantement drawf(forgot his name all ready). His father is alive btw,he is a merchant at Denerim by now. Then you go to the basement of the tower where you where with johan if you played the mage origin, nothing as change, but there is the most overpowered mage robe in the game there(I think you can import it btw).
Then you have to go to the Dalish cave of the dalish origin,to find the mirror. Then, you go to thaig cadash(not sure about the spelling),to find some elven artefacts(that just happen to be,you know, sealed under dwarf for no valuable reason). The your mage as a revelation and says "Hey i know where it is,it's in the Dragonbone Wastes,so let's go there".
Once you are there, you find cultist that are apparently doing the same kind of stuff that Kolgrim did,you kill them all(with no options of dialogues btw,and nothing explaining wtf are they doing here),and then you figth the new creature from the tailer(a very very easy boss btw).
Then you find Morrigan standing behing where the mother was(at least, you don't have to do the dungeon before that room),and you have you last cutscene.
Just to make sure everyone knows,I broke with her when she started annoying me with "love is a weakness blablablabla" and went with Leliana after that,so I was'nt sure how she will react seeing me.
From there you can do :
1)ask questions=>No answers at all.She says you son if safe(of course he is),she can't tell you what she is doing with it altought she acknowledge you as his father(yes it's a male btw),but she is preparing him for something big apparently. You also have a persuade option to convince her to answer you,but it does'nt change anything, she just says the same stuff.
2)Tell her that you did not wanted things to end this way => it's basicly you way of telling her that you still love her,and that you want to back with her. From there, you have two options, either you follow her, either you stay here(despite being in love with her).At this point a cutscene occurs and you kiss her, regardless of following her or not.If you don't follow her, then you get the book you companions came for(I'am not sure why any one should care about that, but okay).Btw you can tell her she betrayed you,but it does'nt make any sense since she did'nt,so I really don't see the point of that.
3)You can kill her.You character execute her,and I have to say, both characters looked really sad in this scene.I don't know how did they manage to make dragon age engine do emotional faces, but they did in this scene. How,and the you get the book as well.
In conclusion, don't buy it,watch the ending on youtube.

Ok, I can't even play this right now. The whole DLC appears to be written for a character that actually, you know, had dealings with Morrigan in the past. Not something an Orleasian Warden can really make claim to. I guess I'll have to shelve this DLC until I play through the whole game again and make some different decisions.
Oh, don't worry.
The game ignored all my dealings with her.

Guys your forgetting one main thing. The choices we make in this dlc can't be saved because there's no autosave after you make the choice. So it's like this dlc never happend. So when morrigan returns in future it won't be with our warden.
But they said the choices in the dlc will impact future games. And the only real choices you make in it are when you confront morrigan. As to there being no autosave after you make your choices... I'm sure they have something planned.
...Though with all their previous bugs and stuff they have yet to fix it may not work out XP

Whole heartedly agree with everything here. Almost. Leliana's song is admitted, even by the narrarator (Leliana) as 'changing with the audience' and not to be trusted as the truth, maybe what she told the Warden about being incarerated in Orlais is a lie, maybe that whole DLC is a lie. I understand why they did this obviously, the same reason we see no new settings in this DLC....too much effort to create new settings apparently so why not just shovel out a bard's tale using lots of rehashed material. at LEAST that was excusable and had a decent reason behind it, albeit walking a very very fine line. I give it props for being clever and had they done it with any other char but story telling Leliana I would have denounced it as well.
There is no excuse for this newest installment though. Such a waste of possibility. I thought Leliana's song was a decent (not great, decent) example of what could happen when you called the voice talent back and worked with DLC limited resources and a little creative writing....Witch Hunt is by far not what we should expect.

I got the ending I wanted in one specific way, but most of my questions remain unanswered.
Mainly, I want to know what happens next with Morrigan and the warden and I don't want to find out via some little blurb in Dragon Age 2.
Forget Hawke! What does my Warden do after the mirror scenes?!
