Witch hunt - what did morrigan leave for you?

So I don't know if I did something to betray her other than following her. And the fact that it said she left the night before the battle, when she actually did not and she fought with me, tells me something is up with this. Was it because I did origins, then awakening, then the new golem dlc, then with hunt? Maybe it lost my game record or something? =/

What confused me was this. In my story I romanced her, and took her to the battle with me at the end of origins. I kept the ring on my character ever since I had it. I was talking to her, and she said I betrayed her, and abandoned her, and that she left before the battle. Although when I was fighting the archdemon, she was right there with me....?? Then she says I had a child. So obviously I didn't betray her and she was with me in the fight (which actually happened).

Nope, same deal here - was at love, did the DR, she fought with damn Archdemon with me, then tells me I never did the DR, I turned her down, died yet am somehow alive, no mention of any baby.

Way to go, Bioware - you ended on a real high note of BS.

It's reading that you did the romance but not the DR. If you did the romance Morrigan still has a child regardless of the DR. THAT at least isn't a bug. Reading the wrong ending is

That would make sense, except the fact she fought with me against the archdemon and did the ritual the night before. Yet she says she ran away, and I denied her the archdemon.Lord Aesir wrote...

Ugh, this bug sounds like a real back-breaker. Glad I didn't run into it. For what it's worth, the "romantic" ending doesn't really give any more answers, although there is a happier ending depingind on your PoV. I'm lukewarm to the DLC as a whole.TJPags wrote...

Overall it was pretty fun for me, a bit short for the price, but other than the buggy ending, I enjoyed it more than the golems dlc.Axekix wrote...

So, yes, it's another cliff-hanger, but I'm okay with that. As long as we eventually get the answers; as long as there's a conclusion to the story, I'm happy and can wait to find out what the deal is with morrigan and our (I don't know if you noticed this) son. Morrigan reveals that the child is a boy when she refers to him as a, "he." Not a huge revelation, but "IT'S A BOY!"

The 'reward' items you get from completing DLC campaigns are for you, the player - not your character.
For the game - not for the story.
Some of them shouldn't actually exist in the story; Blightblood, for example, which you get from an alternate reality.
So the robe is just that - a robe. An item to boost you through subsequent replays.
Not Morrigan's gift.
Besides... the only things that she left was the Dalish book, a bedroll, an a huge open sparkling book that your character walks straight towards and kneels down at. Unless they suddenly reached over and unravelled her sleepbag to find a dirty robe and thought "Ooh! What great interest this is to me!"... then the gift was obviously the book. Or whatever the book had in it.

My Warden (Male HN Origin) I romanced her in origins, kept the ring, did the DR, and kept her at love through the whole game. For some reason I got the ending I was hoping for. She asked me to stay with her and my child. I don't remember getting any kind of gift though, unless you count the teveniter robes, or the bow.

It's only if u don't go with her that you pick up the "gift".

If you stay behind, she mentions that she left the Dalish book, along with an 'interesting gift' for you, over by her little camp. Once she's gone, a cutscene plays where you investigate the camp and then walk away, and we don't get to see what it was.
The gift wasn't the robes or the bow, they're just reward items.

Which leads me to believe that it was just a piece of information, something that would be of use to the Warden wherever they decide to go next, and something Morrigan could share with you herself if need be when you accompany her.

maybe the item is linked to the disappearance...?
