Well I just beat the DLC. And I went through the Mirror with her. I really don't know what will happen to my Character. A bit worried. But I saved before so if it turns out bad in DA2 i'll just start over and wait for Morrigan lol. But what did you do? and what do you think would happen to my guy? Also I wanted to see what would happen if you dont go in and if you dont Morrigan leaves you something of grave importance. What do you think it is? And one last thing. I didn't play Awakening so would it be bad to start it now? I mean I beat Witch Hunt and Witch Hunt happens six months or more after Awakening. Just seems it wouldnt turn out right.

Oh I forgot to ask. Will this carry over into a import into DA2 or is it just a DLC where non of this happens. I believe it will carry over but what are your thoughts?

Witch Hunt has no end of game save so whatever you decide doesn't matter anyway..

What do you mean has no end game save? I'm sure the decision you made will carry over into DA2

Why would you think that? There's no end game save -- your decision is not saved to be carried over.

It may be carried over somehow- its the same situation with the boons in Origins and those will supposedly play a role in DA2 per Gaider.

And provided Morrigan shows up in DA3 or beyond, I'd hope they account for how WH ended.

Yeah after I made my decision something popped up for like a second. It said Checking Save. Something like that.

No matter what you do morrigan goes through the mirror so thats going to be all that happens in everyone's DA:2 games. So she probably does something to counter Flemeth or some such. I did every option and she goes through the mirror even "killing her." I don't think she dies from that either.

Beating the witch hunt DOES NOT save anywhere. I checked last modified of my game saves.

If your expecting anything to transfer over from witch hunt its going to be morrigan going through mirror to other side wardens decisions regarding that will not be in DA 2 no matter what since no info saved.

Since I went into the Mirror with Morrigan I believe Finn and that Elf Woman will find that book and that item Morrigan left behind and that will spread some light. But I hope my Warden doesn't die in there. They seemed happy going in together.

I walked with her through the mirror aswell. Afterwards I tried another dialogue option to let her go, and then she mentions the book Ariane is looking for is lying on the floor, which she doesn't if you go with her through the mirror. I just find that a bit... odd.

For the save to carry over, if it does. They could pull it together again like a similar choice you have to make if you import your ME1 character into ME2 and Miranda asks who you chose to represent humanity on the council.

Dude I told King Alistar I had to think about my boon choice that I didnt know yet and he never let me speak to him to make my decision so i'm bummed. But I dont think its a big deal really. I wanted to pick 'remember the wardens and what they did' something like that but oh well.

That might be true but I think it will have to reconize that you have Witch Hunt downloaded. Sounds good though! Right now i'm a bit effy on starting awakening. I think ill delete my Witch Hunt saves and play awakening then Witch Hunt again so it goes in order or does that seem a bit to extreme.

As I experienced it. Nothing you did or do in awakenings is being mentioned at all in Witch Hunt, or has any influence.

The boon have a save because it saves that on your "after you beat DA:O save."

The after you beat Witch hunt doesn't have a save so your decision is null and void.

All DLC from DA: O does not create a save once you beat it besides stuff built into origins. Shale / wardens peak / after battle is saved to your origins. So any decisions you made in those could tech. be carried over to DA:2. The leliana / dwarf / morrigan DLC decisions will not be carried to DA 2.

Oh for sure I know that! I just don't know the outcome for Dragon Age 2 if you do Witch Hunt first then Awakening. That might sound dumb and I think nothing will happen but you never know it could cause problems when you try to import your character in DA 2 or screw with the story line. Btw I am dead tired so this sounds retarded haha! But what do you think happens to the Warden in the Mirror with Morrigan

I doubt that very much. Once I beat Witch Hunt something popped up saving Checking Save or something like that so I believe it saved it also. I think it just saves your Decision with Morrigan. Its the last Chapter to Origins so I bet my life it will carry over. Same with the other DLC ( not the stand alone ones though )

Well, give me your life.. please..  :bandit:

It has no save game, I'm on PC (not sure how the X360 save screen looks) but there is no epilogue save for WH.  You can save right before the Morrigan convo, but because there is no saved information afterwards, it will, 99% chance, not carry over since there is no file in which to flag said decisions..

Yeah the game definitely saves after you make the decision.  It must not create a new save point though I guess.

I never had such a "save" pop up appear and to that point.. where would it save it to if there is no new save point created? to the last save right before you talk to her?  Then you could replay it over and over choosing different outcomes and it would change the flags on the save that exists before the actual convorsation? doesn't make much sense..

I'm pretty damn sure that none of this is going to matter from a decision standpoint..  Besides, Claudia Black isn't a VO in DA2 according to David so that means no Morrigan in DA2.. Maybe DA3, but not gonna happen in 2.

Maybe not in DA2 but it seems odd that they would just leave it like that (mysterious gift, Morrigan's ominous words then disappearing into the mirror) if they don't plan on picking up the story later.

My games:

1. Female warden that spared Loghain and did not do Dark Ritual
Morrigan copped an attitude and didn't feel she owed an explanation to the warden. My warden felt that Morrigan was "playing her" in origins and since she had to track down Morrigan in Witch Hunt due to her deception and book theft, it seemed to be more of the same old, same old. Nothing got answered once again and Morrigan was messing with powerful magic so the warden knifed her.

2. Male warden that romanced her and did the Dark Ritual
They went through the mirror together and had their happy ending. He was a dwarf and she bent down to kiss him so that was a nice touch. Got to find out the gender of the child even though she still wouldn't say why she wanted to do the dark ritual.

3. Orlesian warden imported from Awakening
The orlesian's motivation was to investigate Morrigan's role in the death of the archdemon. Upon meeting Morrigan finally, Morrigan asks what the stranger wants from her. The dialogue is pretty similar as others, but there is no indication of whether the dark ritual was done or not. No indication of a baby or not. She simply tells the orlesian to warn the other wardens about Flemeth and watch for what is to come. Then she asks the orlesian if the orlesian will let her go or attack. Those two options are terrible because Morrigan never really answered any of the questions so why would it be OK for her to walk off all of a sudden? And there's no real reason for the orlesian to kill Morrigan either. This was the most unsatisifying run of the bunch.

After crossing into the mirror I really wish they had given us something...anything. A short epilogue. Just a single line would have been enough.

Plus I was annoyed I couldn't take 5 seconds to give the book back. Sigh...it was great to see Morrigan again but these mini expansions feel so rushed.
