I hope that in ME3 Liara leave Feron as the SB and return to my squad. Otherwise, I'll be pretty sad :'(

I get the feeling (and am actually hoping) that she kind of becomes the new TIM in ME3. Not in that she's a racist jerk who will betray you constantly and want you to be a human supremacist, but in that she'll be a regular contact that relays info to you and helps you out. I'm hoping they basically keep the set-up she's got now for ME3 as a secondary base of operations (beyond the Normandy) so that you can pop back every so often to check in, do some things, get info, etc.

Naturally.

Bioware have said that they wanted to make sure the ME1 LIs were kept alive because they would be playing "important roles" in ME3; we now know what Liara's role is. So whether or not that role is given a big place in ME3, remains to be seen...

I'd rather have her in the Normandy :P

The thought did cross my mind for her to just leave him in charge but then it also occurred to me she'd be leaving a two time turncoat in her place and that alone makes him untrustworthy. Its creepy having my ex as all powerful know it all but it'd be worse if he was left in charge.

My only issue with the DLC was the sex scene...BW once again censored themselves...even worse now than they did with the original ME2 scenes. What, did FOX get their panties in a bunch over those ones too? I wouldn't even have minded if they just re-used the scene from ME1. Just leaving it to the imagination? Not cool and it certainly wasn't an "artistic choice", it's BW backing down again because they got some negative press from idiots who hadn't even played the game or seen the scene. I hope they get their balls back in time for ME3.

Well it was a girl who most likely was on the left anyway who made the uproar over the game then all her friends most likely came out and protested it but just think there are worse things in games like in Gunn you can scalp people and in one scene they have a girl die from an axe in the head so people like the girl who originally complained about ME pick and choose who to go after I'm sure they wanted to make BW pay them off for something to make them go away fox however was not the only network to air this girl's complaints and go psycho one of the Alphabet networks did it too.

But I agree say screw you to all those protesters and put it back in 3 I mean it is an adult game after all and you can skip the scene if you want to.

Seconded pretty much, I loved the dlc but wondered the same thing.

thank you++

+well toned humor
+super char evolution (emotions beyond just being pissed off generally by reapers)
+super cutscenes
+great action
+makes you understand liara (..and all her strange acting before made sense than)
+3-4h (for me)
+worth every penny
+Femshep Voice actor as usual big win
+/- Liara voice actor did a great job as usual but please be so kind to fullfill her wish next time to explain her more about changes in her pictured characters personality and why. She did a great job, but had a hard time doing so as she says ("flying blind"). Having half the familiy in biz i can understand her approach to a role very well and kudos that she did so well.
-censoring love scene (wtf ?..)

building the BW ASCII msg statue now in praise anyway :P :
^___^

Absolutely awesome.

I don't think the love scene matters - I think it's a lot less awkward than the other ME2 romance options.

Personally I don't see the big deal with sex - graphic violence is OK, but all characters have to be fully covered at all time (think DA:O), but I'd rather have Bioware develop more awesome DLC than having them deal with the fallout of another Liara love scene.

She is just a friend to my Shep, and it was amazing! It was the first time in ME2 I felt like someone actually cared about Shepard.

And the cute comments during combat were awwwwwwesome! I hope they include those in ME3.

The thing about the love scenes is that it's a massive step down. Not in that the new ones aren't as revealing, but in that they simply aren't as well done.

The original ones in ME1 were both sensual and tasteful, and done in a very cinematic manner that expressed the emotions and fit well with the overall style.

ME2's come across as rather cheesy and even a little forced. They don't really get across the emotion(s) well, aren't as well done and aren't as sensual.

On top of it all it sends the wrong message after the whole Fox News debacle. The whole thing was a farce and made Fox look like fools. Essentially Fox had made an attack and BioWare weathered it and won. They also claimed in interviews when asked about it afterwards that it wouldn't effect them and they wouldn't tone things down. But the ME2 love scenes seem to put across that that's not the case at all, and it kind of feels like Fox won the war here despite losing the battle because it appears BioWare weren't entirely honest and what happened did effect them in the end and they basically put up the while flag of surrender for no real reason long after Fox ceased to even care any more. The love scenes are far tamer and it's not even subtle. Despite their claims it's pretty damn clear they toned things down here.

I could be wrong... they've supposedly said that this assessment is wrong and that they chose to go this path with the ME2 love scenes. Even if that's so (and I doubt it) they're sending a contradictory message in the process.

I agree. A bunch of people are saying how it doesn't need a sex scene, but i really think the emotions between the two characters are shown a lot more in a sex scene than a blank screen.

This DLC was better than I ever hoped. It would have been awesome if this content would have been in the main game instead of that disappointing scene, but nevertheless, the DLC is well worth its money. So, thank you, BioWare and EA, for taking the time to create high quality content. I hope it will be profitable and therefore warrant more.

I agree that "the scenes" in the main game felt forced and not very romantic. However, I think LotSB does not suffer from this. This is the good, old BioWare writing of romances once again, and it's a beautiful and fitting conclusion.

That they caved in as far as any depiction is concerned, was already obvious, and it's rather unfortunate these days, because the scenes in ME 1 were perfectly tasteful and should be the model in my opinion, but on the other hand the depiction never was what really matters in my opinion.

Oh my God... this DLC is ... actually more than I expected.  A lot more.  So much that LesEnfantsTerribles wasn't even disappointed -- that was the running 'gag' in our Discussion group, that 'will les be bummed or crushed?' because no one thought it could live up to his expectations.  But it did.  (Except for length.  But ten dollars for about three hours, by my clock on Veteran, is good value if the story holds up, and it SO did.)

It's actually made all the struggles, all the annoyances, all the hardware difficulties I've had, and all the headbutting with Dink in the Liara thread worthwhile.  THANK you, Casey, Christina, Mac, EVERYONE.

This, although Mac Walters had nothing to do with LotSB, Drew did.

LOL @ JaylaClark

It was actually Patrick Weekes that did most of the writing, from what I've heard, but I'm sure it wasn't just him.

I'm a little late to the party here.

There are some aspects of Mass Effect 2 that I don't like (most of which can be summarized by sarcastically saying the word "streamlined" while making air quotes) and that shook my faith in BioWare.

This DLC has completely restored my faith.  If further story bridging DLC(s)* and Mass Effect 3 are of the same quality as LotSB then I won't hesitate to get them.

Thank you so very much.  You've really hit the nail on the head.

*Like ohh, sayyy, a Virmire survivor mission where you team up with Ash/Kaidan for some Alliance secret operation to regain their** trust or something (hey, I was DEAD for two years!  It's not like I could call you or anything!).  As a Liaramancer I think it would be great if the VS romancers got the same treatment now.

**As in both the VS and the Alliance high command, what with your working with Cerberus.

The LotSB DLC really turned out good. Basically this is how DLC should be done. A seizable chunk of content worth playing.

The only two negative points for me were:

-The kind of forced beginning. (Here is some data Cerberus sent me on the SB. Wanna check it out ? -I had no idea. Let's go.)

-Fade to black "love scene". A pretty cheap ending for the long awaited reunion. What was so wrong with the way ME1 handled it that BW somehow thought not showing anything would be an artistic improvement ? Boggles my mind.
