I get the feeling (and am actually hoping) that she kind of becomes the new TIM in ME3. Not in that she's a racist jerk who will betray you constantly and want you to be a human supremacist, but in that she'll be a regular contact that relays info to you and helps you out. I'm hoping they basically keep the set-up she's got now for ME3 as a secondary base of operations (beyond the Normandy) so that you can pop back every so often to check in, do some things, get info, etc.
I'd rather have her in the NormandyMr. MannlyMan wrote...

Naturally.
Bioware have said that they wanted to make sure the ME1 LIs were kept alive because they would be playing "important roles" in ME3; we now know what Liara's role is. So whether or not that role is given a big place in ME3, remains to be seen...

My only issue with the DLC was the sex scene...BW once again censored themselves...even worse now than they did with the original ME2 scenes. What, did FOX get their panties in a bunch over those ones too? I wouldn't even have minded if they just re-used the scene from ME1. Just leaving it to the imagination? Not cool and it certainly wasn't an "artistic choice", it's BW backing down again because they got some negative press from idiots who hadn't even played the game or seen the scene. I hope they get their balls back in time for ME3.

Well it was a girl who most likely was on the left anyway who made the uproar over the game then all her friends most likely came out and protested it but just think there are worse things in games like in Gunn you can scalp people and in one scene they have a girl die from an axe in the head so people like the girl who originally complained about ME pick and choose who to go after I'm sure they wanted to make BW pay them off for something to make them go away fox however was not the only network to air this girl's complaints and go psycho one of the Alphabet networks did it too.
But I agree say screw you to all those protesters and put it back in 3 I mean it is an adult game after all and you can skip the scene if you want to.

The thing about the love scenes is that it's a massive step down. Not in that the new ones aren't as revealing, but in that they simply aren't as well done.
The original ones in ME1 were both sensual and tasteful, and done in a very cinematic manner that expressed the emotions and fit well with the overall style.
ME2's come across as rather cheesy and even a little forced. They don't really get across the emotion(s) well, aren't as well done and aren't as sensual.
On top of it all it sends the wrong message after the whole Fox News debacle. The whole thing was a farce and made Fox look like fools. Essentially Fox had made an attack and BioWare weathered it and won. They also claimed in interviews when asked about it afterwards that it wouldn't effect them and they wouldn't tone things down. But the ME2 love scenes seem to put across that that's not the case at all, and it kind of feels like Fox won the war here despite losing the battle because it appears BioWare weren't entirely honest and what happened did effect them in the end and they basically put up the while flag of surrender for no real reason long after Fox ceased to even care any more. The love scenes are far tamer and it's not even subtle. Despite their claims it's pretty damn clear they toned things down here.
I could be wrong... they've supposedly said that this assessment is wrong and that they chose to go this path with the ME2 love scenes. Even if that's so (and I doubt it) they're sending a contradictory message in the process.

Oh my God... this DLC is ... actually more than I expected. A lot more. So much that LesEnfantsTerribles wasn't even disappointed -- that was the running 'gag' in our Discussion group, that 'will les be bummed or crushed?' because no one thought it could live up to his expectations. But it did. (Except for length. But ten dollars for about three hours, by my clock on Veteran, is good value if the story holds up, and it SO did.)
It's actually made all the struggles, all the annoyances, all the hardware difficulties I've had, and all the headbutting with Dink in the Liara thread worthwhile. THANK you, Casey, Christina, Mac, EVERYONE.
