I refer to the armored Sentinels in the basement beneath the Circle of Magi, which are encountered after Finn joins the party. Am I missing some step I'm supposed to take to render these guys killable? I cannot damage them with any weapon at my command. I've tried several different characters, with and without mods and creating a new character from scratch just for Witch Hunt. This seems to be quite the roadblock in terms of playing on because I can't even flee the room once combat has been initiated.

They seem even to be immune to the "runscript killallhostiles" command from the console.

I'm currently about to attempt redownloading and reinstalling Witch Hunt in case it somehow became borked.

I was just about to make a similar topic, myself. Either I'm an idiot or something is horribly wrong (either one seems plausible at this point), but these buggers just won't die. I've tried redownloading and reinstalling the mod to no avail--anyone have a solution for this?

Once you 'disable' one of them you should see a red veil tear appear. You must kill that to get the sentinels to leave you alone. If the cloud disappears before you can kill it you must disable another sentinel to make it visible again (they don't always appear in the same place).

Unless I am misunderstanding and you can't even reduce the health on a sentinel to make the veil appear in the first place.

Aye - their health simply doesn't deplete; everything hits for zero. I'll take this as proof I'm not a total moron, at any rate.

Yeah something is definitely not right. In my game their health depletes but they will continue to come back to life until you kill the veil tear. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

Yes, that's how they should work. Kill them and the Veil spawns for a few seconds, before dissapearing and reviving the guards over and over. If the guards keep taking 0 damage something must be very wrong.

As the second poster rightly affirms (and thankyou NeverSeven for confirming my sanity on this issue) I'm making absolutely 0 damage on these things. They can be stunned or knocked-back (so they're subject to effects) but it seems impossible to make a dent in their HP, and I've seen no sign at all of any veil tears. Even supposed kill-shot techniques like Arrow of Slaying don't work.

Tested again with a clean download of Witch Hunt, 0 non-bioware mods installed (all DLC's only), 0 override files in /packages/core, and a new character created just for this test run. Still had completely undamageable Corrupted Sentinels in the Circle Tower Basement.

Any insight on this truly annoying bug from a Bioware Tech would be deeply appreciated.

I experienced this exact same bug. However, I had recently installed the popular Simple Fixes mod. Seeing as you had this same issue with Vanilla, I am curious if this is a common problem people are encountering.

It would appear that the Simple Fixes mod is not compatible with Witch Hunt.  I simply went to my My Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Packages/Core/Override folder and removed the Simple Fixes folder.  This is the folder that contains additional folders named _Event Manger, Fix - Arrow of Slaying Level Based Damage, Fix - Curse of Mortality Combat Health Regen, etc.

Removing these caused the Red Veil to appear when the Corrupted Sentinels were disabled.

I don't have the simple fixes mod installed, and I have consistantly experienced the situation with every file and and folder removed from the /packages/core/override folder

I'm getting the unkillable sentinels also. Also, a question for my fellow bugged dlc sufferers: Do your companions come with more than one skill and three abilities? Mine do not.

As Ralltiir said, I had noticed but failed to report in my earlier posts that the companions seemed to lack a lot of abilities. Anyway I figured a remnant file from some override mod probably caused the problem. So I went back and tried something fairly extreme, I deleted the entire Dragon Age folder from my documents folder, after reinstalling all my awakening and all my DLC I went back to Witch Hunt and tested it, all the companions abilities were correct and I was able to kill the sentinels properly.

I don't know what specific mod/override was causing the problem for me, it wasn;t the Simple Fixes mod Bathius mentioned as I've never installed it. For now I;m playing without non-Bioware mods till I'm sure what is and isn't WH compatible.

Thanks for posting about reinstallation success. I had been thinking about trying that, but was afraid I'll still have the problem. I'll give that a go.

No problem Ralltiir. I suggest maybe putting any non BW mods back one at a time just to be safe.
