I don't even have the option to download Witchhunt yet.I had to reinstall DA because of a total harddisk failure,copied my savegames back into the correct folder and bam,everything unauthorized.



Did I do anything wrong?

The latest 2 DLC is unauthorized for me, Golems of.. and Witch Hunt, i bought them today and installed the patch when it was new...

from version 1.00 i used the code for stone prisoner and blood armor. When I was logged in it kept telling me to log in with someone who owns the content, got around it by staying logged off. Now I waited for this DLC for a ******'s age,downloaded 1.04 and it wont come up on menu. and dunno if it matters but from in-game the golems add-on doesn't show up for me to buy. and yet despite it all Dragon Age 2 still has a spot waiting for it.

Still unauthorized... What is happening? Why am I not allowed to play it if I have paid for it? That anti piracy security of yours only stops the original owners to play. Congratulations to Bioware! My money you took very fast, no problem in payment at all. Just tell me what to do.

This is crazy. I just bought the DLC, it downloaded and then installed and comes up unauthorized.

This suggestion fixed it for me, at least for now. Everything comes up authorized now.

That worked for me too using 1.04 on Win7.

Tried clearing cache, restarting the content updater, downlaoding everything again, running as admin and nothing worked.

Deleting the profile settings did.

Did not work for me, nor did reinstalling. Windows XP, Steam Version Dragon Age 1.04, I don't have Awakening if that matters. I can't see Witch Hunt in the download, and manual installation just makes it say Unauthorized.

Found a solution that worked for me. First I did point 3.3.1 from social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/58/index/81613, after that I cleared up few gigs of space on C:/, that did the trick for me

This service BioWare provides is a mess.

I have to play loged off to access my content, (Stone Prisioner, Wardens Keep, and Dragon armor only work offline...)

I bought the "Return to Ostagar" pack yesterday, and I cant even download it... I dont know how BioWare wants to make a MMO if simple single player games with Downloadable content work as bad as this....

I use a Laptop with Windows 7, I pay and I can't play... very bad, I would say TERRIBLE service.

I bought Witchhunt last night, installed it today (along with witchcraft for origins and awakening). Now half of my stuff is either unauthorized or not being seen as downloaded/purchased, even things like feral wolf charm, return to ostagar, stone prisoner, etc. Is the problem on my end or Bioware?

Update:  I restarted the game, and everything was normal again, except for the witchhunt/witchcraft content still being unauthorized.  I restart again, and everything was either seen as not downloaded or not authorized.  This is getting frustrating.  Maybe a new system should be implemented for DA2?

Update-Problem fixed!: I found this thread and did what it said, problem solved

First try and manually start the service just to make sure that it will run properly :



1.) Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER

2.) Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.

3.) Right click it and select START"

I also right clicked on it, went to properties, and set it to automatic startup.  Hope this helps others!

Coreano, you're awesome. For some reason, the updater was put in disabled, so I put it on automatic. The content is downloading and installing as I type this, I'll update this post if it does/doesn't work with the end result.

EDIT: Worked like a charm.

Ya, I don't know why mine was disabled either. Perhaps Bioware can get a patch in which can activate everbodies, so it doesn't happen again.
