This was in the PC tech support, but since I got this bug too, I thought I should put one in the xbox 360 tech support forum. I romanced Morrigan and preformed the Dark Ritual, but it claims I only romanced her. She says that I denied her at redcliffe, when I didn't. Here's my info, if it helps at all:
1) romanced morrigan
2) preformed dark ritual
3) did not talk to her after
4) at the ceremony after the battle of denerim, I said I would be going after morrigan
5) got the romance epilogue (the non-ring one)
6) Imported character into GoA
7) Imported character into Awakenings
8) Got the proper morrigan epilogue (I forget what it was, not the ring one)
9) imported awakenings character into witch hunt with the ring still equipt
10) It was recognized I still had the ring
11) Morrigan claimed I denied her at redcliffe.

Please fix this devs, and maybe even compensate us on the wasted money.

Seriously how did you not see this during QA testing?

Had the same problem, though I only did the Dark Ritual, not the romance. A fix would be much appreciated.

It seems everyone had the same ending. I'm very disappointed in bioware right now. There better be a fix.

I appear to have the same problem. She keeps saying I denied her and betrayed her and I'm like -0 Nuh-huh. We did the deed. The -Deed-! " *Sigh* I swear they don't test their DLCs.

Ok. So first she tells me I denied her at Redcliffe, but then I ask to go with her and she's all "Come my love, let us face the future together." Can you say broke as s**t?

That means it recognized you were romanced, but not dark ritualed. This bug is probably the worst I can remember.

I've seen multiple dev posts saying they are working on it. I hope we get a fix soon, or at least a message about when we can expect one. And if they say "we can't fix it, you're boned.", some form of compensation would be nice.

Yeah, I posted on the PC thread with my information too. Hopefully a fix will come swiftly. I don't have much hope for DA2 at this point. Think I'm going to skip preordering it and wait till reviews come out first and see what the general public thinks.

If the witch hunt bug if fixed, I'll consider pre-ordering DA2. Part of me forgives them for this, because they just released GoA, LoTSB, and on top of that they were working on DA2. But then I realize this should have been seen during initial testing, so I lose sympathy.

I've forgiven pretty much every bug in the games so far - Sentinal armor bugged, oh well, just cosmetic.  Vigilance looks like Starfang?  Meh, no big deal.  Warden showed up naked in Awakening, ooops, I had other armor, so it's ok.  Alistair showed up as King when I made Anora Queen and married her?  Annoying - very annoying - but I let it go.

This bug is beyond excuse.  From what I've seen, the game pretty much is just randomly deciding whether you romanced Morrigan, left her in love, or as friends, or did the DR.  Seems to be no rhyme or reason to it at all.

This bug is pure and simple BS.  There's no way that they should have missed this if they actually tested the damn game.  No way they COULD have missed it, given that it seems to be happening to so many people, over various platforms.

This is inexcuseable.

I also have the last scene (conversation with Morrigan) happen once and again after the credits (and yes, she told me I denied her a night of love with my Husband Alistair as a Cousland, when I actually had them have their demon baby)

I think the will fix this bug about the same time when they fix all the other bugs with the game, 100 years after hell freezes over.

This happened to me too. Hope they fix this, it really ruined it for me. I was having fun, then ruined just like that. Please fix this!!!!!

I got this bug, I was a female dalish origin who romanced Alistair, had him do the dark ritual, and we lived happily ever after with me as his mistress. I had Morrigan's friendship rating at pretty close to 100 (she called us sisters). While she did seem to remember that we wee good friends, she claimed I denied her the ritual. I imported my save file from golems of amgarak, which had been imported from awakening.

This was the whole point of my buying this dlc. If it's not patched soon, I would like a refund. Considering the supposed "whole point" of the dragon age franchise is to create you own unique ferelden, if a dlc can't even get one of the largest decisions in the first game right, I have no confidence that DA2 will, either.



On a related note, I noticed the templar at the mage tower gave me crap about all the trouble I caused last time I was there. I sided with the templars tho, so I didn't get why he was being a jerk. I don't know if that's a bug, too, or just how the dialog was written, but since this dark ritual bug is going on, it makes me suspicious that a lot of my decisions aren't carrying over properly.

This game has always been incredibly glitchy, but this is probably the worst one yet. The main reason to purchase this is if you romanced morrigan and wanted to check on your kid.



This reminds me of the freedom for anders quest that was buggy and was never fixed.

i'm doing a quick run through of a male warden to romance and do the DR with her.... hope this is fixed before i finnish, or never happens to me!!

Import from origins into witch hunt, and you shouldn't have a problem.

I totally agree.i didn't get the bug about the dark ritual, Morrigan recognised it as done.But what about the gift she says she left for me in the end?And what kind of ending is that for my Warden?We need to see a proper closure for our characters before we move to dragon age 2.DA origins was one of the  best games i ever played , i am totally disappointed by this sloppy dlc.It is a pitty.



Also, why is it that after the "end" video, you get to see a brief moment of gameplay scene and then the credits fall along with your jaw in dissappointment

The funny thing is...She says we have a son, which is true, but that we didn't do the dark ritual. Considering my ONLY game was with the baby taking the demon soul, with Alistair as king and myself alive and well. I'm not gonna play this again. I just don't replay things.



To those that claim they got the dark ritual stuff, what was it? Did it reveal her motivations at all? I bought this because I wanted to know the point of the demon baby. No other reason. AHHH!!! WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THE DEMON BABY!!!



I really think that the DLC and main game had two different teams. The main was fantastic, the DLC (other than Leiliana's Song) not so much.

It is said you have to import a post-coronation save from origins  , not the post-campaign save. I have  imported a post -coronation save to all dlcs and awakening and i didnt get the bug with the dark ritual, Morrigan is pleased with me ,although i havent created any romance with her , as a noble female rogue who married Alistair.But still the ending was disappointing! I need a proper ending for my warden!!!!

I did a post coronation save and got the bug, so that's not it. Awakenings is usually mentioned in the reports of people with the bugs. Although some people have played awakenings and they are fine. It appears the bug is random.
