I just bought Mass Effect 2 Digital Deluxe a couple days ago using Steam.

Every time I try to play the game, after I go past the screen where it says the usual "press any key to continue", and get to the part where it says:

''To proceed, you must log in or create an EA Online account. You will be asked to enter the Cerberus Network code that came with your new copy of Mass Effect 2. You may also purchase a code from the store"

Immediately after I press either Continue or Cancel, the game stops responding, and I end up having to close it down (and restart my computer in order to start the game up again)Any help with this issue would be GREATLY appreciated

my system specs are
Windows Vista (SP 2)
Intel Pentium D CPU 3.00GHz
4 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT 1.00GB
DirectX 10.0 (Mar2009)
