Hi, same problem here with the long strange loading screen and then walking in a frozen platform, with Liara gone and the blue **** there, only i can't touch it.



Question : how many people fixed this bug by starting again the mission, and how many didn't? And those who didn't, did you manage to fix it some other way?

after i reinstalled it and reset the mission 2 times i got it working properly, and it truely was worth the truble! Don't make it a habit tho BW, even loyal fans have limits when it comes to how well things work.

I actually cannot get back to Illium to investigate the lower 1s level where you would normally go to get to the Justicar and buy gear. It's through the long hallway. between the stock market and the door below the stairs that lead up to Liara's office...



Does anyone know where/ and to whom we can submit these issues to?

I've got the same problem people are having with a black screen after the car chase section loads. It seems like the camera view has zoomed in on one spot, because the controls still work, and I still hear Liara telling me I'm losing the spectre. When I attempt to maneuver the vehicle, the view does change, which is what has convinced me it's over-zoomed or something.

I had the problem where the screen goes black after the car chase, I installed patch 1.02 and it worked like a charm, you can get it here : http://social.biowar...age/me2-patches



Not sure if it will fix any of the other problems tho, but it should fix the car chase cutscene.

I have a sky car glitch too... but it's at the other end of it. I can start and play the sky car chase mission, but when the final cutscene plays out at the end of it the screen just goes black and never loads the next section of the game. Like I mentioned in my previous post, try installing patch 1.02 if you haven't already. It should do the trick . I think the actual fix is in patch 1.01

(*Fixed an issue where movies do not play in DLC.)

,but you'll get 1.01 installed aswell when you install 1.02.

Had the same/ similar problems as most everyone here (no explosion, frozen people after chase scene, Shepard freezing up/ floating, etc)



Exited game, replaced my Coalesced.ini with an un-modded backup, reinstalled the Shadow Broker DLC, restarted my computer and restarted the mission without using TexMod.



I don't know which step, or a combination thereof, fixed it for me, but it ran smooth after that.

Hope it helps anyone still stuck.

I'm having that infamous car chase glitch, which is needless to say incredibly frustrating for a whole lot of reasons. When the level started I was just thrilled, I never expected a car chase and I truly enjoyed all the 2 minutes of it. However, being unable to finish the level because I only see a big, black, empty screen (not even a loading sign) soured my relationship with the DLC somewhat.

What's worse is that I can't go back to the Normandy, so I'm just stuck in mid-mission. Scratch one career...
I've tried updating the game to 1.01 and 1.02 but the "glitch" persists. What really makes me sad is that I actually paid for this DLC. It's one thing that I didn't get my promised glee but Bioware just screwed up the career I was working on for two weeks.

They spend so much time and money on making this otherwise awesome game but why can't they test their creations? And it's not the first time they screwed up their games big time.

I've tried patching, restarting the level countless times, reinstalling the DLC, hell even reinstalling the whole damn game. I hope that the developers are looking into the issue

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

Yea same here with the car chase. I cant even patch cuz i have the steam version (that will teach me to buy the game at a discount) hope they fix this soon

Same problem here. I get to the rooftop with Liara and the Spectre shooting, it loads and then nothing. I can't do anything. I am playing the steam version so I cannot roll back patches.

Glad I happened to be in this forum looking for something else when I noticed all these threads about this DLC. I had nearly convinced myself to purchase it, going against my own "never purchase DLC or anything not on a disc" rule.

Had crashing issues near Liara's office on Illium just after installing the DLC, and another thread mentioned that turning off the shadow-related graphics options seems to fix it (and it did for me).

I also experienced the screen going black at the end of the car chase scene, and again turning off those options temporarily made that part of the game work.

I guess they just didn't test the Shadow Broker DLC very well before they released it, then didn't bother to fix the lighting bugs once they became known. I'm already running the 1.02 patch.

Nothing worked for me with the carchase but i have my own solution. (Didnt tried it yet. Now I will..)

When it gets to the start of the car chase you resume from the game menu (in windowed mode) and drive blindly with the help of the video... Isn't it cool?!

Ahhh... It's harder than I thought...

It's working. It's really about the graphics settings. Before you start the game you go to the setting where everything is. There you turn off absolute everything and then it will work for sure.

I got the hungarian Mass Effect 2, and i got a warning that this DLC dont support it. If i buy and download, can i play this part of the game with english language or there is no hope for me?

Having the same glitch that the OP mentioned. I wish I'd known this DLC had such problems before I bought it. Tried restarting from autosaves/quicksaves. I really don't want to start the mission over completely. I already wasted an hour of my life on this thing. Unbelievable.

I'm in the same boat.  As soon as I get outside, where i'm guessing the chase scene starts, it take an inordinately long time for the scene to load and then everything is idle/frozen.  I can move freeley, but Liara and the bad cop chick don't do anything.  I've tried reinstalling the DLC, but that's it at this point.  I'm already pathced at 1.02.

I reinstalled the v1.02 patch and restarted the mission. Everything worked without a hitch. I also turned off autosave. Wish I got this DLC earlier in the game...would have been a lot of fun to have those resources earlier.
