Well nice to see that I am not alone with my problem at the car chase. Have a GeForce 7600 GT. Have tried the reinstalling of the DLC but that didnt work. Now going to see about the motion blur.



Edit: Can also confirm that just turning off motion blur allows the car chase to proceed. Now if only that chase had been longer and more involved with trying to skip over stuff would have been better.

Turned off Motion Blur and it worked great. Too bad the car chase was really zzzzzzzz

I didn't need to change anything else but turn Motion Blur off. I also changed the window mode to Borderless, but I've not tested if it affects the outcome in any way. At least the chase now starts with no troubles, I'll see how far I'll get.

This worked. Also a 7x series nvidia running on windows 32 bit.

From launcher, went to configuration and turned off mortion blur. made the thing look ugly as all get out (looked like the whole world had gone wrinkly, like courderoy) but it got me through the car chase to the other side where i could turn the settings back.

Thank you again. The car chase was lovely. or maybe that was just Ms. Hale and Ms. Hillis' banter. :happy:

You can fix this by disabling motion blur in the configure menu (when you start the game).  Unfortunately that series of graphics card is to blame.

Yes, just Motion Blur: Off. Works. Thanks for the fix. Save from a disappointed dlc to a best dlc so far.

I recently reinstalled mine, still having problem, GeForce 7900 GT. I have always had some texture wierdness with this card in ME2, so I can't say that I'm terribly surprised that it may be specific to the Geforce 7xxx series.

FYI, I am running 2 Geforce GTS 250's in SLI, with motion blur off already, but I was getting game lock-ups in other areas. Changing my graphics settings to the low quality as was suggested earlier in this thread stopped those crashes in LotSB. When I was back in a normal "shooting" area, I'd quit out, raise them back up, save ALLOT and do it again if it locked up again. Much obliged!

Don't use the latest nvidia drivers if you are running on GeForce 7x. I found that to be the easiest and simplest solution regarding the messed up textures. I've been running on with 197.45 and it works well enough, at least for me. I have no idea though if there is a relevant shift of performance between the different drivers.

Even when I turned down my graphics settings, I had audio problems during the chase. Maybe its some weird sound issue...

Edit: I also redownloaded/reinstalled the DLC, just to be sure.

As far as I have collected information from the forums, I'm afraid that disabling only the motion blur setting is a solution just for the people having a graphics card of GeForce 7x series (7000-7999).

Motion blue worked for me on my 7900GT.



REALLY LIKING THIS DLC! Firewalker was a snore, Zaeed and Kasumi were OK, Overlord was pretty good, but this one is the one that I'll be telling friends who like ME2 about. Its buggy, yeah... but its fun once you get past the bugs!

If first part of car chase scene work, then this is totally different from glitch, where car scene impossible from the beginning.
When exactly you get blackscreen? Maybe it's when cutscene begins?

I'am having the same trouble.For me,the black screen comes up a few seconds after the crash cutscene from the car chase.Them,the audio keeps going like nothing,but i can't do anything,and i don't have control of my character.Tried to play it without motion blur or any of thoses thinks,and it did'nt work,reinstalled,did'nt work as well.

Hmm I tried the turning off the motion blur and it worked for me.
