@pat1117 it still won't work, I reinstalled the DLC, and then applied the 1.02 patch (though i can't understand to what do you refer when you say to "manually apply it"), but still no luck, as it keeps showing the black screen at the end of the car chase.

wait.. Music stops? I could hear sounds from that movie, but not see the movie... and by saying manually apply it, pat means "download it from bioware site and use it".. because BioWare screwed up the installer of LotSB... the thing is that patch overwrites some files of the LotSB.. but on the LotSB installer patch is installed first, and then the DLC - it should be not like that, it should be DLC first, patch after... yeah, I know it's hard to imagine or describe

@Palka oh, I see. But then it won't work as that is what a I did a few minutes back.

As for the "music", what happens to me is the following: The car chase ends, and triggers the cut-scene, the one in which Vasir tries to get your car out of the way, but when there's an oncoming car, you can only hear the music, the *beeps* from the car and then some *URGHS* for about 20-30 seconds, which (as I saw in youtube) matches perfectly with what I should be supposed to see.

Any other possible fix?? I'm going nuts.

Some problems landing on the overlord planet so maybe thay can fix both as it hangs / Crashes there also

@patocerda - what i did was install the patch from bioware, then reinstalled the LotSB dlc a couple of times (the first few tries, after installing the 1.02 patch, even after reinstalling the LotSB it wouldn't work, but i just kept reinstalling the dlc over until somehow it worked). i have no idea why that is, but it fixed itself somehow by reinstalling a couple of times.



i hope bioware admins are browsing over these forums and address the issue... don't give up, though. it's a great dlc, the trouble for getting it to work is worth it.

@pat I just finished it, and despite the trouble, DLC is worth a candle Awsome one, definitely And as for me, I only reinstalled DLC, and then installed patch, and then it worked 0_O

hmm, i've done it already like 3 or 4 times, no luck, tho. I'll keep trying then, and hope that bioware will do something about it.

Ok, just sign in to say this.



I had a glitch after the car chase, when the asari pushed me and Shepard goes down with the car. In that moment, the screen went black and I only listened some crashed and eventually it stopped.



So, I re-installed the DLC, after that I applied the 1.02 patch and it finally ****ing worked, I could play the whole DLC. It's amazing, by the way.



I have a ATI HD 4830 with the 10.8 CCC and Windows 7 64 bits

Crashed twice after entering the hotel and then one on the shadow broker base just before entering the ship.

Bump. Same issue for me.

Tried reinstalling the DLC.

Tried reinstalling THEN re-patching 1.02

Tried without motion blur

Tried with all video settings off or low, and without sound



I still get the blank screen with only audio near the end of the carchase, halfway through the cinematic. It goes black RIGHT as the asari spectre pushes your car into oncoming traffic in the cutscene.

Hum,I belive i have found a way to get it working.



Anyway,for me the bug came from my masseffect.exe,I was using a no cd(I have the collector box right next to me,but changing cds is a pain in the ass as I have many games,so i'am using no cd all the time,does'nt prevent me from buying games legally tought,as well a dlc in that case),and therefore,it only updated the original mass effect file to 1.02,and this was causing the bug for me.



Therefore,if you are using that kind of device,you have to take a no cd compactible with 1.02,then install patch 1.02,and then install shadow broker to make it work.I belive your no cd must be named MassEffect2 to be updated to 1.02 correctly.



If you are not using a no-cd,I have not idea what could be causing this,outside of patching it.Hope this help.

I'm running vista with a Nvidia Geforce card, its an xps with all the bells and whistles and I'm having the same exact problem. Black screen, ton of sound. Very pissed off me. Never had this problem with any other game or download so I don't have a clue.They took a long-long time to rush this download out without testing it properly.

I'm just about ready to uninstall the game. It sucks to pay for something and have it not work for this long. Has there been any statement from Bioware about this issue? We shouldn't have to go out of our way to fix something that they should have thoroughly tested.
