And the worst thing is that if you, somehow, manage to get after the glitchy car cutscene, you'll find at least one more spot (at the end of a dialog) in which the exactly same glitch happens yet again.



I found this sad surprise after a friend got that part in my savegame (but in his ME2), and now he can't do it again, so, once again, I'm stuck.



So, any improvements in the fix BioWare??

Cause I really hope you are working on it...

Black Screens during the cut scene near the end of the car chase. Tried pretty much everything mentioned .

i am experiencing the black screen problem as well. NVIDIA geforce 7800 GTX.



i tried reinstalling the DLC, installing the patch, tried to add several cracks to the Mass effect.exe, but it still doesnt want to get past that cutscene.

I tried out everything. Reinstall, patches, settings, blur off etc...

Oh I'm sure they're aware of this. But it's a bit insulting to the customers since it looks like they're turning a blind eye by not even mentioning or acknowledging a blatant problem. I tried to play through the car chase again recently several times after installing new drivers from ATI but I'm still stuck.

I've not had a problem with this on my E6600 Core 2 Duo and Geforce GTX 465 card. However you can try a number of things to see if it helps:



1) For the car chase set the CPU affinity to one CPU core

2) Dissable physx if you have it enabled

3) Set the display settings to default in the game, and set the driver settings to default

4) Dont overclock your CPU and GPU

same problem here...



I tried to disable Motion Blur, changing the resolution and other options but didn't work...



I installed lastest drivers for my graphic card, HD 4890, well same thing, final part of the car chase and then black screen....



Any ideas?

Hey there! Just to help anyone with the same problem. I tried everything on this post and anything helped me but installing Patch 1.02. After installing it the game worked perfectly and I had no more problems. I can continue my relationship with Liara!!

I think we're screwed till Bioware comes out with a patch. One messed up DLC isn't bad and all of the DLC releases. Same thing happens to me. Tried some of the suggestionss on changing resolutions, etc, but still no good. My GT220 card has the latest drivers.

Hi All,
Well it seems that a lot of us are suffering from the same problem and it all seems to be with NVIDIA GeForce cards either 7900 series GT/GTO.
Well I for one have had enough of changing settings and the like - Still no joy with getting the carchase to work as such I think its time to demand my money back under the Consumer Rights Act - Product not fit for service - Not sure if everybody else wants to take that route but I think it might get them to notice the problem and fix it.
Plus As BioWare/EA seem to be ignoring the problem they go to the top of my S**T list for lack of gamer support
No more purchases from them.

Well, my problem is little different. Everytime i get into car, the loading screen apperas and after 2 sec i get runtime c++ error. Any fix?

EDIT: Nevermind. Installing newset Microsoft Visual C++ package helped.

I got the same problem, and nothing in here seems to be of help.

My screen goes black at the end of the car chase, but there's still sound.

I tried turning off motion blur, installing patch 1.02, nothing worked. I've completed this stupid car chase 7 times already. -__-

Somebody help me. >.<

It's sad to be unable to play the best DLC for such an excellent game like this, really.

i just heard they fixed it? i sent EA an email & they said they took the Shadow Broker DLC down for a while & just put up the pacted/fixed version. But i don't want to buy it again!

Valla, u don't have to buy it again to redown load it.

go to profiles,

then click on "your registered game promotions"

this will give u a page with all the games tha u have bought and DLed,

so just DL shadowbroker again.
