I have some fog settings which I want to copy to each of the six stages of the day/night cycle.  Is there an easy way to copy this or do I have to do it one by one?

Also, Is there another way to set the FarClip on the toolset to allow zooming out without modifying it on the day/night cycle?  I tried toggling the UseAreaFarPane button but it did not appear to do anything.

Thanks for the help.

Export it out as xml, then import it back. ( export is in the top row of the properties ). Pretty sure you can choose which stage you import into. Note it copies everything related to that stage.

You can use the import/export tools on the area properties tab to copy individual day/night stages. You just export your original stage, and then re-import it five times to each of the other stages.

Turning off the fog (and the UseAreaFarPlace) should allow you to see everything when zoomed out in the toolset.

You can also cut paste, but it would actually take longer to do it that way, because then you'd have to do each field independantly. I wonder if you can copy the stage when it is collapsed and then paste it to each subesequent stage or into a another module area? Doubt it.

I set Area Far Plane to max (1000) and just turn off the fog. Far Clip, as far as I can tell, doesn't really do anything, so I tend to shut that off too. If you set the Area Far Plane to Max, shut off the fog, you should be able to zoom back to see a tiny, tiny module area map. Too small to make out details even.

Exporting Day/Night settings - Select the area name in the list, open area. Open area's properties. Along top of properties, choose Export Properties --> Environmantal Settings --> Day/Night Cycle --> All. To add them to a new area, do similar except choose Import Properties.

Area Far Clip - Along top of toolset windows, choose View --> Options -->Graphics and set Far Plane to 1000. Hit Ok button.

Oh My God! Do you all realize that I went through my entire first module building with the far clip set at 150! Do you know how crazy that made me?

This changes everything!

Thanks! This is great!

Also, I tried the export for the day/night cycle stages. Very simple. Thanks.

You can also import sets in the same way as you will probably have found out by now. That means all of the OC sets are there to be used along with some vault stuff. just go to the lighting settings in the main NWN2 folders.

Some of the settings screw up interioirs, changing the black surround to a lit surrounding. This can probabaly be fixed but I am not sure how.
