Also, about the duration - I think on Insanity there is a 0.8 duration multiplier and another 0.6 multiplier against big guys like YMIR mechs/geth primes..so Stasis will not work for 12 seconds against them.

Would be interesting to see if you tried that with the Enhanced Stasis instead of normal, I'd imagin you'd get more then 3 shots outa it. Bigger stuff (like the massive mech) may build up resistance faster due to having the 40% length cut.

With the 20% duration upgrade plus passive (Adept's Bastion provides another 15% duration bonus) should get Stasis duration close to 12 s though same thing should apply to Singularity, but it doesn't. It's pretty eratic, sometimes one (Heavy) Singularity holds Harbinger up to 8-9 s, most of the time it's gone after only a couple of seconds - no idea why, haven't tested Stasis long enough to be sure this is the case with Stasis too.

My experience so far is that it does indeed help. I'm still early in the game and have low firepower, haven't picked up the Locust yet and have only the first few research ugrades. It really helped keep some krogan away. Only did a couple of missions, first ones and Mordin recruitment, but I didn't die yet.
By the way, this whole thing where they drop to the ground IS very good for getting a clear shot at someone at extra damage.
It was mentioned before, but the dropping to the ground thing works for drones as well. But when they drop to the ground, they die.
By the way, you're right about Singularity. It doesn't always seem to hold people. It's good but not particularly reliable. That just makes Stasis more useful.

Shouldn't it be 12 * (1+0.2+0.15) * 0.6 *0.8 = 12*1.35*0.48 = 7.77 for big guys like YMIR mech/geth prime etc.?
You could be right Kronner, but I don't know how the formula works exactly. But if upgrades are calculated first and penalties last; your numbers should be right though (your) tests on duration and cooldown are not what they should have been mathematically - think this has to be tested thoroughly first before we can draw conclusions.

I just finished the dlc (loved it) and only used Liara's Stasis, but wasn't that impressed. Should give it a proper try on my Adept to see how useful (and fun) it can be.

It does indeed seem to be more reliable than Singularity, but on the downside it doesn't do any damage and you can't damage target in Stasis plus it has a pretty bad cd (I don't think I'll be using Stasis that much as long as it makes using other powers impossible for quite some time - should be better after the cd upgrade and passive.
The drop to the ground thing seems nice - didn't notice that yet.
Btw does anyone knows if it's possible to use Liara as a squadmate? I left her to continu the Shadow Broker's work - if you refuse, does Liara joins your crew? Would be best squadmate around. Singularity + Warp + Stasis + 25% cd reduction = awesome!

What I love about Stasis is that it really makes CC better. Too bad enemies can shoot through it, otherwise it would be even better.
Btw it also instakills husks and drones (and probably some other enemies too) once it wears off.

Nice vid Kronner - you just convinced me to start a new Stasis Adept run. Please post a vid of the Praetorian fight if Stasis has some cool effect on those bastards too

Why be methodical when you can just gun a swathe through enemies as it is? lol
It's been said before, but I'll repeat it. Stasis is useful on higher difficulties, difficulties where it isn't as easy to recklessly gun down enemies. That's where it shines.
If I were playing on a lower difficulty level I would choose a different bonus power.
Yea...On Hardcore or Insanity I can see the merit (as I have said before)....But I play on Normal because I really dont see (other than comparing E-peens lol) the reason for constantly playing on Insanity except for getting the achievement lol
I only play on hardcore or insanity. I play hardcore when I want an easier game, but prefer insanity level.
That is not a 'brag', it's just that once you play the game enough, your reflexes speed up, and you also anticipate certain situations, and instinctively know what to do. This gets really old fast, no challenge. So you find that you crank it up to get some of that challenge back, in combat. After a while, hardcore seems like 'normal' and Insanity feels like hardcore used to feel.
Stasis is a tactical power that betters the odds of fighting through some of the tougher enemy combos, like the scions and husks on Horizon. Stasis was useful against Vasir, and I am looking forward to starting a new vanguard /insanity run, and seeing how it changes my tactics on some of the more difficult fights.
And bottom line, it is just fun. Which is why we play in the first place, no?

I suppose in the future when Ms. Norman says something about a class "getting a buff" or anything else "getting a buff" we should realllllllllly take it with a grain of salt....
She never clearly stated that there would be an Adept buff. People read into her comments, spread rumors, and were then disappointed. I can certainly see how you could interpret her comments to hint at an Adept or Biotic buff. Indeed, that's what I was expecting. But this is really just a lesson in how rumors can spread and blow things out of proportion.
What do you expect, it's fandom, the same people who can make an epic romance between two characters out of the fact that they outright hate each other in all the actual depictions, or will treat their own hairbrain theories about what happened "off-camera" as gospel truth because "of course it makes sense". The same people who think that TIM is a Reaper and also the Shadow Broker and Miranda's real father.
Of course they took a simple statement by someone at Bioware and made Mars out of a molehill.

If you use it on the last enemy still alive when your squad is down - say, on the last YMIR in Jacob's loyalty - it automatically revives your squad!
