Some people like myself have had BSOD problems.
Think I have fixed it.
Have Windows 7 64bit. Reinstalled it as WinXP service pack 3.
I also used to hit spacebar to skip conversations,just let them play through now.
Been playing for usually 5 hours a day for 3 days to see if OK. No problems so i don't know if it was Win XP or
skipping conversations which worked.
