So I'm attempting to rest my party on the Overland Map in the SOZ campaign (it's not always convenient to run to town and pay for a night's rest in an inn!) and the chatlog shows this every time i press "r" or press the rest button on the overland map UI:

resting.
resting.
rest cancelled.
rest cancelled.

exactly 2 "resting" statements followed by 2  "rest cancelled" statements for each 1 time i press "r" or the rest button. it doesn't matter what party member is leading, or how far away from overland encounters i manage to get, the issue persists and i cannot build a camp on overland.

I haven't played SOZ in a long time but i thought i rememberd being able to camp on overland? I am currently running patch 1.23 and this is my first time attempting to run SOZ on 1.23, no other bugs so far (unless you cound the description of alarm stones saying unlimited charges and only working once).

additionally, I just went ahead and deleted the junk sitting in my HAK folder along with anything related to the PW i had played on 2 days ago to make sure it's not causing a conflict (it used a custom overland map, and the custom races it was using was crashing my character vault when i tried to make new games so i deleted those already anyways)

and no dice. still getting the problem. Perhaps i will start a fresh savegame to make sure the .hak junk didnt corrupt my save, then i'll post the results from there.

-edit- started a fresh game without any of the hak bits interfering and sure enough the bug is still there.
Basically the only way I can rest is by renting a room, or using an alarm stone in a dungeon. I cannot build camps at all on the overland map between encounters, and it's kind of getting ridiculous. Posted Image

Just an FYI - no haks will interfere with your SoZ play through. Now, if you have something in your Override folder, that might....

Thank you for the heads up- I am suspecting it might be stuff sitting in my override folder, so i'm going to check if there are any available mod updates that make the stuff SOZ compatible, or i might just temporarily rename my override folder so i can enjoy an SOZ playthrough again. I did some tinkering around last night and I seemed to get it working but the problem came back.

As for Haks I had never really played on any online servers till a few days back so I wasn't really sure what to expect in terms of compatibility issues. Especially once the custom races from the haks caused my localvault to explode and crash the client to desktop any time i tried to play a single player campaign and "select character". Better safe than sorry =)

Again thanks for the reply, it's my intent to get this sorted this evening.
