So I just got done downloading and installing the Lair of the Shadowbroker DLC, I open Mass Effect 2. I get to the part where it says "click any key to continue," I do so, and then it says "Error. Cerberus Network Activation requires internet connection. Please ensure you are connected to the internet and try again." Well, I am absolutely connected to the internet. When I hit "ok" it takes me to a new message screen that reads "Unable to authorize the listed DLC. Please log into Cerberus Network with the account used to purchase the DLC. Lair of the Shadow Broker"
So I go into the extras tab, I click the "Open the EA Store" tab. This message pops up: "You must be connected to the internet to access this feature. Please check your network connection and try again." Again, I'm definitely connected to the internet. I try logging into the EA Store and the BioWare website from a browser outside of the game, it doesn't make any difference, the game can't connect to the internet.
I've disabled my firewall, turned off anti-virus, restarted my computer several times, restarted the game several times... nothing.
So... help?
Also, for some reason, whenever I open Internet Explorer it says I'm offline, even though I absolutely have a connection to the internet right now. I keep getting this curious Dial-Up connection box that keeps unsuccessfully trying to connect me to the internet with "Broadband Connection 3"... this only seems to happen with IE, everything is fine with Firefox. What the hell is going on?
