Potentially longer on older machines.
Less on newer.

On the other hand, on the "explore 100%" plan, I can get a LOT of play time out of the first pass

I discovered new content (even a whole new quest)on my 6th playthrough of Mass Effect, which many would consider to be a linear game.Srikandi715 wrote...
As far as I'm concerned, the only games that REALLY have replay value are those with procedurally generated terrain, or at least dungeons... or games so big and open that you can't explore em all in one playthrough. Cause no matter what else changes, if I've already scoured every corner and opened every barrel and found every hidden chest, the game's done. Exploration and new environments is what makes the game for me.

That being said, I also love procedurally created game worlds such as those found in many Rogue-like games. The best, in my opinion, being ADOM. The Random Map feature in some RTS's and TBS's is also a great selling point for me. Those strategy games that have preset maps are almost boring in comparison, even if the actual gameplay is technically more balanced.

over 80+ hours.. this is stuff you can find with a simple search..
-honestly that search feature never finds anything Im looking for, and I mean it literally. it is far easier to just ask the question no matter how dumb it is, there is always somebody who answers.
