Perhaps this could be stickied?

I would like to know how you put a picture in your post. I keep putting links in but I know that most people (myself included) are far less inclined to click on a link.

Can someone let me know?

Thanks.

Try using the BBCode path_to_file in the advanced editor.

In addition, if you want to post a thumbnail of your pic that can be clicked on for full resolution, try a format like:

[.url=path-to-your-image ][.img=(width)x(height)]path-to-your-image[/img][/url]"

(just remove the '.' characters in there.

For example:
[.url=http://www.myimage.image1.jpg][.img=200x100]
http://www.myimage.image1.jpg
[/img][/url]

Thanks guys.

I saw that Hellfire put a Youtube video in his post. Perhaps someone can add the code for that too in this post?

Go to hellfire's post, click on "Quote".

This will bring up a copy of what he posted. Then click the "BB Code" box. This will reveal the code that Hellfire used. You can then copy and paste the code commands.

Or you can right-click and "Copy embed html".

(Edit: That is in Google Chrome on WinXP)

I still had a little trouble. But Imageshack.com lets you upload images without registering and you can copy/paste the link for embedding with thumbnail.

I've forgotten where the screenshots go (pressing PrtScn in-game) when you make them. Can someone remind of which folder it is?

Thanks!

It's straight into MyDocs/NWN2. They'll have somewhat nonsense names but will probably be the only .jpg files in that folder.

Actually, the names are not nonsense. Each tag has the day and time in sequential numbers. In that way, you can keep track of when you took each screenie.

Why the } after the first img? It should be ]

Also you need to link to the actual image, not the web page that has the image.

what i do is go on some other forum, and generate the code there. then copy paste it here. Other forums also have a preview window which ensures i also get the picture scaling right.

what am I doing wrong? Every time I click the image icon to add an image, the page freezes. is it better to do it another way?

edit- I think I figured it out using imageshack instead of dropbox
