Yeah! But I'll keep the spoilers for me! His way of managing spoilers has also invaded my mind

Poor Varenus, probably had no idea who Lotion is or why people keep on calling him by that name.

If you simply decide that you must create a
militant elven character who would never ever have a relationship of
any kind with a human, then knock yourself out. Demanding that we must
not only conform to your vision of elves but actually provide you with
a romance to suit is only eyeroll-inducing.
Why can't I be both?David Gaider also wrote...
Sometimes I think this whole jumped-up elven identification thing you have going, Lotion, is just tongue-in-cheek, but other times I think that yes, you must indeed be a wackadoodle.
Don't be a wackadoodle. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/smile.png[/smilie]

And welcome you are, m'lady! We must constantly remind our oppressors that we will not stand silent! The we will never accept defeat! There will be lasses and ladies and children, as numerous as the stars!Churchdown Yank wrote...
Assuming this group is tongue in cheek so to speak and ultimately non-violent I've joined! I'm a liberated elf lass.
OTOH if it's wackadoodle, I can probably do that too...
I do not. I do, however, have a robe and wizard hat. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/wizard.png[/smilie]Maria Caliban wrote...

Yeah. But it'd nice to have a choice. ../../../images/forum/emoticons/pouty.pngMordaedil wrote...
Sensible minds will know that the game
isn't the end of our lives as elves and we'll be able to pursue real
romance after the game, no?

Yes. Because what I'd really want is a second-class written wet dream by a 16yo fanboy, with no or sub-par dialogue and voice-overs.Tarreth wrote...

Then we'd best make them. Mods ahoy.
I get the vibes that some Dalish clans are already pretty much Scoia'tael already. They're supposedly very diverse, with some camping near cities or alienages, with others living a more 'Robin Hood'-esque life. The amount of cooperation with humans vary.Stebenator wrote...

It's not the end of the world if a character -- for whatever reason -- doesn't have someone to hump in a game.
It should be noted that in Dragon Age, elves have comparable lifespans to that of humans, due to the quickening.Korva wrote...
I'm actually glad there's no female elf "romance" for a change. For a species that's supposely aloof and rare and in favor of long courtships in many settings, it's rather odd that in most games there's an least one if not several elven women screwing random men (who are usually not even elves) at the drop of a hat. And there doesn't have to be a "romance option" for every combination of race, gender and sexual orientation. It's not the end of the world if a character -- for whatever reason -- doesn't have someone to hump in a game.Since I dislike cross-species-lovin' quite a lot, I'll just have my elf and dwarf stay happily solo.
There's no reason for a human not to romance an elf, except possibly cultural issues, I suppose.Sabriana wrote...
Oh well darn. I'm a human woman and I have a thing for elven males.
I think they are awesome, hot, and sexy.
Bummer....
But then again, there's always Zevran. He can take up the slack - so to speak. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/smile.png[/smilie]

You could always roleplay a polygamist. Have the little elven wife taking care of your brood at home, all the while romancing one of the main ladies in the game.Of Course to be a polygmist you have to be married to more then one woman, and I don't think marriage happens in the game....so then that would just make you a cheating cad.
