Of course, welcome sister!Alocormin wrote...
It does make me a little sad there are no female elves to romance; because now elves are interesting to romance, in Thedas. One of my first characters will be an alienage female elf; so I guess I'll be a supporter of ELLL?
I know that, but in many settings they don't. That said, it's sad really that we don't have comparable lore on elves yet as we do on dwarves (thanks to the official Wiki and the devs being so great about answering dwarf-questions on the old forums) because at the moment it's still hard for me to get a unique "feel" for the Thedas elves -- and the lack of unique racial customization options beyond some tattoos doesn't help.Varenus Luckmann wrote...
It should be noted that in Dragon Age, elves have comparable lifespans to that of humans, due to the quickening.
No one's forcing you to "romance" anyone, much less a human. It's a choice you make whom your character would fall for and whom they would not. I just don't understand why this is such a big deal. Maybe it's just because I don't take "romance" seriously anyway, especially considering how this game is supposed to -- finally! -- offer proper platonic friendship paths as well. There are several factors that weigh in as to why roleplaying a elven-human romance as a pro-elf elf isn't really viable. If you don't mind missing out one a part of the game that's gotten a fair bit of work put into it (romances overall) by going solo, well congrats to you.

Please point me in the direction of these games. They have, unfortunately, come 'round and flew in under my radar. An obvious tragedy.

Personally the biggest issue( for the player) I see with an elf having to romance a human is the drastic height difference.
Yes I'm shallow.

I haven't seen it in lore yet, does anyone know if a dwarf and human romance:wub: ends in a dwarf, human or dwarf/human baby? Perhaps their plight is not so dire as the humans.
Couldn't say it any better. Moreover, we Dwarves face extinction certainly more than the Elves, as aside from the low remaining portion of our population, we have to face the Darkspawns of the Deep Roads. Life as a Dwarf is difficult, I tell you!Taritu wrote...
Pff, you elves have it easy, we dwarves have only ridiculously tall and skinny people to romance.

Poor Varenus, probably had no idea who Lotion is or why people keep on calling him by that name.

"Dwarves have difficulty reproducing and many dwarves consider humans and elves lesser races. For this reason, they are also against interracial relations. Humans and dwarves can produce half-dwarves, but this is very rare."jrastaban wrote...

I think it's more to do with us wondering why anyone would name themselves after a cosmetic product used to soften skin and/or as lubrication.
Or at least that's why I remember you.

I'll drink to that. Can anyone think of any game, any game at all, where there was a dwarf romance option? Skinny little treehuggers complaining about getting left out of one game. Still, I think there's potential for a unified Demihuman petition rather than strictly elven here.
