I have downloaded and tried installing Lair of the Shadow Broker it twice during the last 30
minutes, and everytime I get the following error.

"NSIS Error

Installer
integrity check has failed. Common causes include incomplete
download and damaged media. Contact the installer's author to obtain
a new copy."

So - what?

Mine says that it's not compatable with my version of windows. (7, 64-bit pro.) It doesn't come up with the same red "2" icon as the others eityher, which all work perfectly. My intuition suggests some sort of file corruption. I'll try torrent tonight maybe.

So yesterday I got the 64bit problem and now I'm getting this problem instead.

Not particularly impressed right now

So, can we expect Bioware to solve these issues? We paid for the DLC, and we must be able to play it.

Do you download via your browser? Deleting browser cache and downloading it again is the only thing that will fix this problem.

Did you use the correct link:

http://static.cdn.ea...hadowBroker.exe

Or the old, corrupted:

http://static.cdn.ea...hadowBroker.exe

There is a big difference between the two links. First one is good, second is corrupted.

That is very interesting. The first link definitely leads to correct file. You can overcome the NSIS problem by running command line, navigating to the .exe you want to run and adding /NCRC and pressing enter (for example ME2_ShadowBroker.exe /NCRC) but most likely the file is corrupted and installing it despite that may corrupt your game. I recommend using a download manager to download the file again.

Using Downthemall right as I type. And instead of downloading in multiple parts I am just doing it in one. Crossing fingers. Also I will try what u proposing, hoping it work....

Gonna crash my head with scilab to kill some time.

I would rather wait until you have the correct executable downloaded. Installing corrupted file may corrupt your game and in the end cause more problems than it solves.

No; nothing seems to help. I've downloaded it several times from the right location, I've deleted my browser cache, I've downloaded it by using a downloager manager - and everytime I get the NSIS Error.

People have paid for it, and should be able to play it, yet....

Ok it finished downloading and happened the same thing again....

I noticed something important btw, when it was about to finish the download it freezed in the last bits. Like stuck in the very very end. I have seen another files go that way and sometimes they end wrong. Do I am getting close? Should I try what u said kronner? Should I lie to bed and cry like a little girl I am not?

Can you guys post MD5 checksum for your ME2_ShadowBroker.exe?

My ME2_ShadowBroker.exe:

Size: 1 630 579 236 bytes

CRC: 4EE11B98

MD5: 2de6daaf4c83eb9fcbe54b5d78be3f06

should be ok (played through it - no problems encountered), if you do not have the same values then the download went wrong and you need to download it again.

For example Altap Salamander can tell you this information.

http://www.altap.cz/download.html

trial version is good enough, the app is small, about 7MB
install, run, then navigate to Shadow Broker .exe file, select the tile, go to (in the main bar) Plugins - Checksum - Calculate Checksum and wait a while.

Well, then it is 100% certain the file you downloaded is corrupted. I could upload my .exe to rapidshare or something if you want, but it will take some time (about an hour I think).
