The torrent protocol was a rather interesting idea IMO.

Tried downloading it with chrome and it failed again. Again, I have had no problems with the other DLC's even the somewhat large ones like arrival and kasumi (which are not as large as shadow broker).

Time to attempt to pirate something which I purchosed, sweet fail sauce!
[edit] Tried one more time with chrome and it worked! It seemed that the servers were busy last night and it took a terrible ammount of time to download, but this morning it was rather quick and it downloaded without errors.

Well, great!  I hope that serves as a lesson to the lurkers who read the forums, but don't participate.

Just had this problem. Other DLCs work fine, this one doesn't. Tried downloading it with Chrome, Firefox (DowThemAll!), and with a cable connection... no luck. Irritating, to say the least.

Multiple download attempts, most with NSIS errors.
(all downloads were performed immediately following the completion of previous downloads (serially) within 6 minutes of each other)

####
Gentoo curl md5:
1st donwload: (failed NSIS error)
06aec32384a57bc00095f4dd5ab2b817

2nd download: (failed NSIS error)
2357cb26efe13f23d9245b5bec765e7d

3rd download: (failed NSIS error) (this one was performed after the below IE results completed)
dfef2bbea3e339b92df0cd040b6b3ae3

####
Windows7 64bit/Chrome md5:
1st download: (failed NSIS error)
5c9e987782a951d1c0a55f4eb2adee7d

2nd download: (failed NSIS error)
90029fc443831a3e77d93c68f242dca7

####
Windows/IE md5:
1st download: (worked)
2de6daaf4c83eb9fcbe54b5d78be3f06

2nd download: (worked)
2de6daaf4c83eb9fcbe54b5d78be3f06

Toughts:
HAhahaha... obviously something stupid being configured on the server end trying to optimize downloads of size greater then <something>. I performed a third download after IE downloads were complete using Gentoo/curl again, and received a 3rd different file (md5sum). So I call: Tremendous BS. Someone needs to get kicked in the junk. A 1.5Gb file is NOT a heavy download for me, nor are the among 20 or so data scorts I have performed yesterday or the day before that with out issues.

Being that this _is_ an issue over a year now... Bioware, you truly... truly do not care.

My advice, strangely as I despise Windows for _any_ use other then for games, is to use Internet Explorer to download said file. As it worked for me twice. <shudder>

I can't install Lair of the Shadowbroker either.  Download from Firefox 10 or EI 9 makes no difference.  Same NSIS error, corrupt installer.  It's quite pathetic that pirates have it easier than paying customers.  Now I get to go through the wonderful EA support site and refund process - thanks a lot bioware - cripes just get all your DLC on steam so it will actually WORK.

What worked for me was clearing my browser cache and then downloading with DownThemAll in Firefox. I also increased the number of segments to 8.

To do that, open DTM Preferences > Advanced > Max Number of Segments per Download = 10
Then, while the file is DLing, right click on it, go to Advanced > One More Segment and click that four times to make 8 total segments.

I'm quite pissed this refuses to work. I recently re-installed ME2 and all DLC I had + bought shadow broker since I hadn't before. EVERY dlc worked just fine, except shadow broker.

I've cleared cache, used downthemall, turned off firewall, I am wired directly (and doing a ping test says im faster than 89% of the world lol).

This is absolutely retarded with this NSIS error.

Edit: Got it worked. All it took was downloading Chrome and Dling it from there. Why that worked and none of the other methods I have no clue, it's too stupid for me to comprehend. Took me 2 hours to get this working, pathetic.

Just to let you guys know, I had the same problem just now and but I've managed to get it working, I did two things that got it working.

1) I just disabled my Anti-Virus and all my Computer Protection (using Kaspersky Lab Pure)
then
2) I Went to the .exe properties and unblocked the .exe which is was at the bottom of the first page
and then made it run as administer through the compatibly page

I ran the .exe after doing both of these and it worked instantly and started installing the shadow broker dlc, hopefully this isn't an isolated incident and it helps you guys :D

Just adding my two cents here:
I was having the same NSIS error after 5 downloads. The suggestion of:

1)Clearing your browsers cache and

2) Disable your anti-virus

worked wonders. First try it worked after doing those steps. Cant wait for ME3! Let's go!

Why does this happen to LotSB? Oh, gosh I bought all the DLCs and for this to be the only one that doesn't work. Help me :( Hmm, I must get this working before ME3 comes out!

Thanks for all the input, I did everything here with regards to cable connection, clearing cache, disabling anti-virus and firewalls, downloading from a different computer and internet connection plus switching browsers but it just wouldn't budge. I used my friend's installer of LotSB and surprisingly it worked, if anyone is still having feel free to message me for the installer. Of course, this isn't cracked... you still need to buy the entitlement from Bioware for it to properly run but that shouldn't be a problem. Peace out

I emailed EA support, and among the many things they suggested one of them (the only one I tried) worked - clearing my IE browser's cache and redownloading. This worked for me, though I don't know why and it makes no sense. After clearing the cache and redownloading, the installer finally worked and got past the 99% unpack without an nsis error. The DLC installed and I've played it through.

I say this solution makes no sense because I originally was downloading the file using firefox. When that wasn't working, based on suggestions from this thread I tried IE (v10), which didn't help - ie the file still wouldn't unpack and still gave me the nsis error. So clearing the cache of IE is the same as using it for the first time, a week earlier. I don't know if they replaced the file on their server or if I just got lucky, but it finally worked.

Great DLC too - not sure it's worth $10, but it's definately the best set of missions in Mass Effect 2, hands down.

I've got three people who messaged me for the installer file, so just letting everyone know that it works so far for others and not just myself!

ME2_Arrival.exe, ME2_ShadowBroker.exe, and ME2_Genesis.exe are corrupt.

I have tried different computers and different Internet connections. The files on the servers are corrupted.

I have cleared the cash. I have used different browsers. I have disabled Virus protection. I have used different computers and different connections. Is there something I haven't tried?

Do you download via your browser? Deleting browser cache and downloading it again is the only thing that will fix this problem.<br />

Did you use the correct link:<br />
http://static.cdn.ea...owBroker.exe<br />
<br />
Or the old, corrupted:<br />
http://static.cdn.ea...owBroker.exe<br />
<br />
There is a big difference between the two links. First one is good, second is corrupted.

http://static.cdn.ea...hadowBroker.exe

Is corrupt also.

Hmm, so far I've only heard problems with Shadow Broker. I also had the same plight with you, spent a day talking to EA but they had no real solution so I tried all the suggestions here and still no dice. I used my friend's installer and it worked so the best posible explanation I can think of is it had something to do with the internet connection and the loss of packets because even if I used a different computer or OS to download the file, it still wouldn't work. My friend downloaded it using a different internet connection, so I guess that's why. I don't get why this is the case though because my internet is fast.

+1 to that.  I've tried everything, anti-virus off, firewall off, downitall from firefox, I usually browse in chrome.  yesikareyes' file worked first try.  Thanks!

Yes I have fast internet too.. 50 megabits per second. I've done tests on my side of the connection .. no issues with packet loss.

update : just got Genesis to install.

Going to work on Arrival next... fingers crossed.

I was getting speeds of 5.9MegaBytes per seconds when it wasn't working.. the other computer was getting 1.4 and not working.

< 800K worked all of them. My problem is resolved :)

The problem wasn't on my end as I can DL large files at those speed from other sites.. I've never had a game fail on a check on steam.

I checked my end.
0.0% packet loss
0.4ms jitter receve
4.3ms send

I think this is an EA server issue with High speed conections or something.

I was having a huge problem with this, and none of the obvious solutions worked. What did, oddly, work for me, and might be worth trying for some of you;

Right click the .exe file in your downloads folder. Click Properties, under the General tab, at the bottom, make sure the click the "Unblock" button, to keep your computer from messing with it. (Windows 7 HP, 64-bit.)

Currently downloading yesikareyes's install file for shadow broker, however I get the same problem for Arrival DLC also, I have tried "unblocking" the .exe and shutting off my antivirus before install and it still doesn't work. I'll give an update to see if yesIkareyes file works...
