I contacted EA support and they gave me a discount code and a link to this thread. How's that for technical support! And lucky for them that I can't use the code on new releases...sigh. And none of these possible solutions worked for shadow broker sooo grrrreat.

Anyone attempting to download my file, 4shared seems to be unreliable hosting site since there are problems with the servers. I have to reupload the files this afternoon in 4shared. Does anyone know any other file hosting site everyone can depend on so that others can access it without requiring me to really upload it?

UPDATE: The link is back on 4shared.

I will also be keeping this link and if it says the file is "invalid", then there's just a lot going on in the server or too much downloads so you just have to wait for an hour or so. I have Arrival uploaded already and if there are any troubles with other DLCs, I'd be happy to help. Please message me for link, I won't post it here so that I could regularly check the link if it's down or what not and so that I can monitor the success rate for this "solution" because I really want to know what the problem is for the "NSIS" error. Quick update. Fought for a couple hours, the firefox method with right clicking and adding parts worked for me. Side note, yesikareyes replied amazingly fast and her version works perfectly too!

Got it working thanks to yesikareyes. Just PM her asking for the link and she'll give it to you! Also be sure to follow the advice in the rest of this thread, particularly clearing your cache - a combination of these things, mixed with yesika's link, finally got it working for me.

yesikareyes file worked for me too! She answered within 30 min (great community member). I wasted 6 hrs of downloading browsers and files, but her file worked the 1st time with no gimmicks (firewall and MSE running). Thank you again!!!!

Apparently it doesn't happen as much but; they also don't know what's wrong either. No matter how or where I download this DLC for PC at it always get the NSIS error saying corrupted or missing data. Even tried to bypass the NSIS check and during the install is says that a file is corrupt and ends the install prematurely.

I have all the DLC on Xbox but after a falling out with Microsoft I tried getting everything here on PC. EA gave me a code for Shadow Broker since I paid for all of them on Xbox that was the best they can do. Then I downloaded and this happened to me, currently trying the Firefox method using DownThemAll.

I bought this DLC last night and couldn't get it to get past the NSIS error until I used DownloadThemAll with Firefox and put in the MD5 value from Page 4 from the guy who got it working in IE.

Mine worked and still opened as an unknown file, installed now and working properly. Must be some lost packets of data with their new download server.

I kept getting the same NSIS install error tonite with 'Arrival' dlc. So I disabled avast and cleared my IE cache. And it actually worked. So I got lucky somehow because that obviously is not working for everyone. . It's a very aggravating problem this one.

This problem is definitely on Bioware's end. I download Shadow Broker about 6 months ago through Firefox and had no problems with it. Tried again last week and I'm getting the integrity error.

Found a solution that I don't want to detail on the forums though.  I mean, rationally speaking, there's really nothing wrong with it, but I don't want to be shut down by some moderator taking the rules too literally.

Suffice it to say that the version of the DLC installer that you might download from other sources is identictal to the one you get from Bioware's site, because permission granting for the DLCs is handled via the Cerberus network and your EA login, and not via the installers - so you can download and use it in confidence as a legitimate owner.

This is most frustrating. I am resigned to not playing through this before ME3 now, and just hope that the time-locked ME3 file I downloaded is not going to hit problems at midnight. Also hoping there will be no spoilers in ME3 for the DLC I haven't been able to play yet, but the shadow broker seemed kind of an integral character/organization to not show up in ME3, unless the DLC disposes that plot line completely (I hope to find out playing, no spoilers please!)

This is frankly not good enough, the technology to download a file over the internet is hardly new, and after blowing 10Gb of my monthly allowance on this (and STILL not running) the cost may well turn out higher than the bioware points I purchased just for this download.

EA's tech support will just give you 15% discount codes for Origin.  I'm honestly not exaggerating or being cynical - that is literally all they do apart from offering you unhelpful generic info from FAQs already on the support site.  They're an outsourced firm of minimally trained workers reading through pre-made help trees who can't cope with anything that falls outside of those trees and who are unable to actually submit bug reports to anyone at EA who can actually do anything about them.  There was a recent expose of sorts on Reddit, where a former EA support rep confirmed that basically all they're trained to do is to apologize and offer a discount code in the hope that it shuts customers up.

My advice: find an alternate source to download it from (which is easy) and be done with it.

three times with FireFox
once with Internet Explorer
Cleared cache
Tried DownloadThemAll!

Nothing worked...

I used DownloadThemAll! --AND-- specified MD5 checksum to be exactly 2de6daaf4c83eb9fcbe54b5d78be3f06

Worked 100% fine.

Cannot believe this is STILL A problem after over a year. This is clearly an issue with Bioware's server as I am over cable, not wi-fi, and only had this problem with this particular DLC after downloading six in a row.

So, again, the full fix:
1. Install DownloadThemAll! Addon for FireFox
2. Set Max Number of Segments to 8-10 (Options -> Advanced -> Advanced Download Options)
3. Download Shadow Broker through My Game -> Registered Game Content menu on the BSN
4. Right click the link and select "Save Link with DownThemAll!"
5. In the MD5 box, enter 2de6daaf4c83eb9fcbe54b5d78be3f06

Wait for it to finish.
Should work fine.
