Finn is awesome. And to think I initially thought he would be as annoying as another circle mage.
You wish you had his full name.

Kind of interesting to see a mage who actually likes the circle life too. Although I'm sure Morrigan would have a few things to say about that...

While I would've loved to have Morrigan in the party one last time, I'm not sure I wished poor Finn death. He was annoying but in a good way. I was surprised that I ended up liking him. Same goes for Ariane.

Creepy? Uh, no, I didn't think so. Geeky, most definitely. But not creepy.
Stole the words right out of my mouth.
I wonder what became of him and Ariane

He reminded me of a Harry Potter character. I expected him to say he spent his apprenticeship at Hogwarts. But he was a fun character. It was nice to see a Circle mage who didn't mind the Circle and also had a supportive (sort of) family.
But come on. What kind of mage has an owl for a pet?

As for Finn dying, one of the theories kicked around in the Morri thread is that the DLC was part of a bigger project originally that got cut, hence the abrupt ending. I mean, if you choose to go through the mirror, you don't get the Dalish girl her book back either and leave Dog behind... so... it kind of defeats their purpose for even being there.
As for Ariane, honestly if you hadn't written her name I wouldn't have remembered it. She was completely forgetable as a character imo.

As for Finn..he likely went back to the Circle and laundered his robe.

IIRC Morrigan doesn't even mention the book if you go with her. The most satisfying ending also has the most loose ends <_<CalJones wrote...
Well I'm sure Ariane picked the book off the floor when you left. It was right there, after all.

I suppose you've never had a younger sibling or cousin ;P

I don't know. Sometimes something annoys you and then when it's gone, you miss it. Finn was sort of like that.
And I agree, it does feel like this was part of a bigger project that got shrinked, hence why there are certain things that didn't get fully fleshed out.

I liked both Finn and Ariane as companions, and didn't have to babysit them in combat, unlike GoA.

Heh, that's very true! Ariane was a killing machine in my game.

And to quote that book on mage training: What sort of self-respecting mage would use a wand anyway?
