This maybe seems like a silly question but where are the trees?
The 3D trees and the background trees.

You'll have to place them using the Scatter Tool after inserting Tree Controllers in the level.

if you're not seeing them in the toolset while you place them, ensure your draw distance (dropdown near top-middle of screen) is high.
