That's the error I get when I try to load up Witch Hunt. Would anyone know what it's about?

have uu by any chance had uur download interrupted and then continued.. cuz i got the error and that's the only suspicious thing that happened in my download... all other of my dlc's weren't interrupted and work perfectly

same problem ive installed patch 1.04 and witch hunt and when I chose the dlc from the menu and import my character it coems to loading screen then it kicks to main menu

Same problem right here. Following on, when i do go to import from my Golems of Amgarrak saved file my dude appears to be wearing nothing but his linen underpants!



Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this, together!

same here, import character doesn't work and new character option doesnt work aswell. kicks to the main menu "couldn't load data"

I am also experiencing this issue. This, after trying for an hour to get Witch Hunt to authorize. I renamed my profile.dap file and that cleared up the authorization, but then I started getting the Unable to Load Area. I attempted several types of import and tried to create a new character to no success.

Renaming the profile.dap in My Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\Settings worked perfectly



Not only did I get to load the area but it redownloaded all the addons correctly.

I'm getting the same unable to load area bug. None of the solutions posted have fixed it. Whether I try to import a character, or create a new one, as soon as the loading screen comes up it immediately kicks me back to the main menu saying "unable to load area"

That is entirely useless since the fix in that thread is for the xbox360 and this is the pc section.

Seriously  there must Be SOMEONE in this Forum...Bioware's forum that has the solution for this friggin problem!!!And as Raverous said we DONT need XBOX360 Solutions we need PC solutions...So anyone????

Ok guys i made it work and this time this is for a pc not crappy XBOX360.I possess all the DLC that has been released from bioware but in particular i hadn;t installed three specific ones
DAO_EP1_PROMO_BTK_1.0
DAO_EP1_PROMO_GBK_1.0
DAO_EP1_PROMO_PAN_1.0
So what i did was to reinstall, without unistalling at all, the Witch hunt DLCs using the DAUPTADER (dazips) and then installed the above ones!That's all i did seriously and it worked like a charm!But dont Forget install the WITCH HUNT DLC's (there are 4 of them) above the previous installation (presuming u already have the Witch hunt DLC's installed once) and then install those three i mentioned above.That's what worked for me.Hope it works for everybody

Pearl of the Anointed (Awakening) – DAO_EP1_PROMO_PAN_1.0.dazip

Bregan’s Bow (Awakening) – DAO_EP1_PROMO_GBK_1.0.dazip

Bulwark of the True King (Awakening) – DAO_EP1_PROMO_BTK_1.0.dazip



Try disabling those, or reinstalling those and see what you get.

No prob!But Dont forget the crucial part.U have to REINSTALL  the Witch Hunt DLC.That means reinstalling all four dazips that The Witch Hunt Dlc include plus:

Pearl of the Anointed (Awakening) – DAO_EP1_PROMO_PAN_1.0.dazip

Bregan’s Bow (Awakening) – DAO_EP1_PROMO_GBK_1.0.dazip

Bulwark of the True King (Awakening) – DAO_EP1_PROMO_BTK_1.0.dazip

Once again u have to REinstall Witch hunt DLC upon an already installed Witch Hunt DLC.Dont go tampering the settings folder in documents or deleting ANYTHING else at all.Just install it upon the DLC again,

Just to be more disgustingly specific i will post the names of the 4 Witch Hunt dazips

DAO_PRC_STR_1.0.dazip
DAO_PRC_STR_DAO_1.0.dazip
DAO_PRC_STR_EP1_1.0.dazip
DAO_PRC_STR_O_1.0.dazip

Including the three in the above post we have 7 dazips

seriously??? U didnt' even pay attention to our whole discusion or at least the post above u?Except u already tried that as well and didn;t work ofc...If that didn't work well...hope somebody else suggests something

hmmm did u at least try to reistall the Witch Hunt DLC? Maybe the other add don't even matter for your occasion.Try that if u haven't already.
