i know mate tell me about it i was like RIPPING my hair off for a fix from anywhere on the internet..And to think i fixed by my self is even more frustrating...That's why i was hoping my method would work on somebody else as well...so far though it didnt

Lol, I've been having this problem. I don't know how to re-install the dlc without uninstalling the entire game and then reinstalling that and then waiting for it to download and re-install all the dlc (of which I have everything) which will take for ever.
Other fixes suggested here have failed to work, so I thought I might try re-running the 1.04 patch.
Now the DLC crashes to desktop.
Yay.
Edit: have worked out where to download manually the DAZIP. Will ry that work arround and see if reinstalling like that will have the desire effect.

u JUST INSTALL the dlc once and then install it again using always daupdater!U never uninstall anything!

Yeah, same problem for me, not only on Witch Hunt, but on Returning to Ostagar too, once I get out Bann's "something" (first step) and try to go to Ostagar on the world map, same soddin' message takes me out of the game to the title screen. Tried all of your hints, comrades, with no further success. Anything else for me to try? Nevertheless, it just happened tonight. I got some time to figure this issue out, hope you all do the same. Go'night.

Are you running a Windows PC?
If so, change the properties of your folders so that file extesions are displayed, and then use the 'rename file' option to change the file extension. Otherwise, you cannot change the extension.

on a side note, idk if it matters but my copy isn't exactlly a hundred percent legal got my **** off a torrent so if anyone no's if that's the problem it would be nice to no

I'm not sure about that, it may have an impact. the only way to find out is to buy the game, lol. Good luck to you.

Have the same with Return to Ostagar. After I patched to 1.04. mind you. Before it worked.
None of the above solutions worked. I can't imagine they rendered some of their dlcs useless with the latest patch.

i download the DLC , update the game to 1.04 , instal the DLC , i authorized the DLC by the noote pad modifying the AddIns in Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Settings , and after this i use a program called DLC Decrypter (comes with my DLC ) .It comes whit a BAT file and just after use that i was able to play .The DLC is running perfect

That redirects either Google or Yahoo to do the search inside here.
Personally, I didn't download Witch Hunt, so it hasn't happened to me. That makes this reminder that our archives here are a valuable resource the best help I can give to you (all of you who have been adding various "me, too" comments without including much of anything else to work with).
