The problem was with the decrypt_all.bat program so I just putted it in the same file with witch hunt and ran it.Also you need to mak sure it is the decrypt_all.bat for witch hunt If you get Invalid DLC while the pog is working it is not the one for witch hunt.If none of the following work then get an universal dragon age origins dlc dechyper . After decrypting it you should edit AddIns.xml with notepad and voilla.

i have tried everything so far up to this point and still get the unable to load.  last time i buy any DLC for this game.

So my dear silly guys ;D. So... I'll start!
1. download 1.04 patch
2. download Witch Hunt. If you feel totally hopeless to downloading via bioware, our lovely Witch Hunt, then just download it from some torrent page like isohunt.
3. Then unpack all the files somewhere.
4. Use "dauptader" in your game's location, my is "D:\\Program Files\\Dragon Age\\bin_ship"
5. Then put those 4 files to dauptader and install them.
6. After installation, find folder "dlc_decrypter" and there launch "descrypt_all"
7. Go to My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Settings then, edit there file "AddIns" with using notepad,
8. Find (CTRL+F) and replace all RequiresAuthorization="1" to RequiresAuthorization="0". and save the file
9. Enjoy searching Morrigan. Damn, I love my Morriganie!

OKAY. I'd just like to say this is ridiculous. I've had to go through countless fixes for this Addon I've had to find and complete myself to get something I paid for to work.

First, the Addon wasn't installing properly through my game, so I had to find it on this website, download and install it. Then, It wouldn't let me run the damn thing because my account isn't 'Authorised.' I then searched for the solution to that, which included changing the 'addons' xml file '1's to '0's. and NOW, after I've done all that It still won't run because 'unable to load area.' To which there appears to be no fix for (if you PAID for the addon.)

Seriously, there's more support for this issue from people who are supplying this Addon illegally. They actually HAVE a fix, where as the company I legitimately purchased the Addon from has NO support and NO fix. You guys are dreaming if you think I'll ever buy any more 'points' from you again.

Concerning the issue, the current fix appears to be:

download a DLC Decrypter from some torrent on the internet. It appears this fixes the stupidly buggy DLC that BioWare has supplied. I have not tried this yet, however.

No one of these solutions worked for me (i did not try the descrypt_all)... i bought dao ultimate via steam and for some DLC i can't import characters.. the only way is to create a new one. ((

Is it possible that today there are no fixes for this frustrating issue?

And  who did you want to read that?  This is a Self-Help forum where gamers ask other gamers for advice.  The game has grown fairly old now, and interest has dropped way off, so there aren't many people around to answer here.  It isn't "official".

Official Support is on EA's Help Pages.  There is no official anything here, so did you visit EA before getting all wrought up?

Is that what EA has told you just now ? 

I explaned my issue to EA:
- i bought DAO
- later i bought DAO ultimate (steam edition)
- no way to play some modules importing other characters (eg. witch hunt)
- EA tried to solve the problem with my steam version but no way
- they upgraded my DAO (no steam version) to ultimate
- i removed my steam version and installed my other version (from CD). With this version i am now able to download DLC and to play modules with other characters.

As soon as possible i will try to install steam version again and try to edit addins.xml, manifest.xml and so on according to my non-steam version... just for curiosity.

No way no way.. tryed to changed configuration files but on steam version it did not work.
Fortunatly i can play awakening too on my upgrated version (copied awakening folder from steam version and modified addins.xml adding awakening section).
I suggest you to concact EA to solve your problems.

So what i did was to reinstall, without unistalling at all, the Witch hunt DLCs using the DAUPTADER (dazips) and then installed the above ones!That's all i did seriously and it worked like a charm!But dont Forget install the WITCH HUNT DLC's (there are 4 of them) above the previous installation (presuming u already have the Witch hunt DLC's installed once) and then install those three i mentioned above.That's what worked for me.Hope it works for everybody

Did you correct your problem by yourself?  After seeing a higher than usual incidence of "one shot" visits, I am curious whether we have a great many new people with no conception at all what kind of place a "Forum" actually is. You write the one first message and never come again; did you expect an eMail or other response outside of the forum? If you did, then this question of mine is purely rhetorical, isn't it?
