Wow im so very disappointed with Witch hunt. I cant believe how short it was and it never answered SFA about Morrigan and didnt even have the correct facts about how i ended origins (she claimed i didnt let her have the sex!)

it was super easy , super quick and shockingly didnt tell us anything about anything Morrigan walks threw a portal .. why? where did she go? what was in that damn elvish book?  What happens to ANYBOBY or ANYTHING? What was the point of this DLC? How does this end anything? how does this tie up any loose ends?

like seriously what was with that ending? you can tell there was supposed to be something but there wasnt anything and how chea[ was it for them to re use old locations. just wow i really loved DA:O, and i loved Awakening , i have all the DLC minus liliana's song which im going to get here ina  few minutes. but then they drop this on us and tell us its the end of DA:O (part 1)

Golems was 10x the DLC this was in every way.

I realize im ranting but this is the first time i felt like i was ripped off and it felt intentional.Posted Image

What I made out of it was: Something big is going to happen, thanks for buying this DLC and now buy DA2!

Pretty much, did she answer a single question that was even brought up in Origins? I had "the bug" so she didn't fully trust me.

Yeah all I learned was:
Beware of Flemeth, she is the real danger
Great change is coming.

But left with:
What was the point of the ritual? (Origins question not finished)
What are your plans now? (Origins question not finished)
Why did you just leave after the battle? (Origins question not finished)
Why can I not see my child? (Origins question not finished)
What is on the other side of that mirror? (new question)
Why do you need so much power? (new question)
Why is Flemeth the real danger? (new question probably addressed in sequels)
What is Flemeth? (Origins question not finished, probably addressed in sequels)
What is this change coming? (new question)

And if you did not follow her..
What is that item that you think is of great interest to me at the camp? (new question)

Closure my butt.

That and "Here's some goofy references in the library books about swordstaffs and new spells for DA2."  But I did enjoy the adventure and am looking forward to DA2.

this should have been free and certainly not a $7 DLC , as your right this felt more like a mini advertisement for DA:2

All I got out of it was Morrigan saying, "Even though you're the only friend I've ever made and you persuaded Alistair to impregnate me so I could have the one thing I desire over all, you can't come with me because you're not a male so we didn't have tent time. Oh, and my mom's more powerful than I imagined, kthnxbye." It can't be the end of our Warden's story. ):

What I hate is how it was advertised as the most epic DLC ever. Like it was DA's equivlent to Lair of the Shadow Broker (which it freaking wasn't). What was the worst part of the adverts was the whole "Your Warden's FINAL QUEST."

To leave the game on such a flat note, I mean god it's almost like they don't care about Origin's anymore, they just want to shove DA2 in your face.

^ ^ This

Don't get me wrong, the writing was good (as always) and the voice actors like Claudia Black did a brilliant job again, but it kinda felt like the rest of the team didn't really bother.
Unlike ME2's Lair of the Shadow Broker that came out on the same day which felt like everyone pushed what material that was left over from ME2 and did answer questions (the main one being who is the Shadow Broker) etc
Witch Hunt did feel like I spent four odd quid for an hour and a halfs advertising for Dragon Age 2 Posted Image

That was pretty much it. Morrigan might as well have said "Buy DA 2 and find out what happens next!" *fade to black*

I'm amazed that Morrigans DLC seemed to lack Morrigan except for the last few minutes.  Instead we got a whole story involving two randoms one of which never shuts up (i'm looking at you Finn) most of it seemed to have nothing to do with Morrigan at all and when we finally get to her we get a short advertisement and it ends.

Not to say i didnt enjoy playing it but i expected the story to have something to do with Morrigan.

Many of the answers were pretty obvious to me; the point of the ritual was to save the Warden's life, as well as allow her to have a child that she could raise away from Flemeth's influence, which is why she left after the battle. Not being able to see the child is probably due to there not being an infant model for the game. I don't think she actually wanted a lot of power for herself. Her comment about Flemeth was probably related to DA2. Flemeth, according to Origins is an Abomination, much like what Uldred became.

The item? Flemeth's Real Grimiore.

Just finished with a human noble warrior, who romanced her and did the Dark Ritual with her, I got some odd bugs: She acknowledged I had a son, but continously talked about me refusing her the ritual at Redcliffe.

Good things for me in the DL:
- Dog was back
- I found some of the party members internal debates quite fun (the mage was an ok comic relief)
- Personally I like stories with huge cliffhangers, so that wasn't so bad for me

Worst things was the mentioned bug, which seemed to screw up the entire conversation with Morrigan, which more or less was what I was waiting for, and I think the end was a bit too sudden (I stepped through the mirror to be with her and bang, end credits).

Fair enough, but we had a cliffhanger in origins. This was supposed to be a resolution, not another bloody cliffhanger. Cliffhangers are supposed to keep you wanting, yearning for the final conclusion but that won't be the case when its advertised as the final warden story, ie it's an infinite cliffhanger. Yay.

In total agreement with post as I had stopped playing dragon age after awakenings so traded in both games.  I noticed the Witch Hunt DLC and really regretted not having DAO and awakenings.  Rebought both for $30 each just to play this DLC.  Tried the Gollum DLC first and while it had some slow down issues it was pretty good.  I then played witch hunt and had issues with my ending not matching Morrigan's  responses.  I also thought the DLC was really just starting as I walked through the mirror not that it was over!!!  All the environments were also rehashed from prior events.  Is Bioware starting to become influenced by EA trying to recoup their huge investment in buying the company?  What a waste of time and money just to set up DA2. I paid money for an advert that had a bugged ending. Go me!

Of course given the value for money shown by the advert, it's now unlikely I'll be buying DA:2 anywhere close to it's release, if at all. So Witch Hunt has actually saved me money.

That was a pretty disappointing DLC. I almost wish they wouldn't bother with DLC's and spend more time working on Expansion Packs. I'd rather have 20 hours of play and take six months or so than have an hour or two hour $7 DLC's.

Oh and to top it off she said I refused her in Origins. Well that didn't happen. They need to fix this bug and I'll go through it again.

I finished the Noble Human story in about eight or so minutes. :D

Witch Hunt? No so much.

I like Witch Hunt, and think it is awesome, and perfect for the ending. It felt like it could be apart of Origins.

Maybe I liked it because for once a Dwarf wasn't in the party? I mean I hate dwarves. Dwarven Politics, Dwarven Poverty, Dwavern Legions of The Dead, and Armies, Dwavern Lyrium/Smithing/Runes, Dwarven Castes. The only good thing they ever made was Golems, aka Shale.

fantasypisces wrote...  What was the point of the ritual? (Origins question not finished)

interesting reading and no I haven't played it yet.  From what I read I am likely to be disappointed as well.  However, to answer this question: yes it was answered in Origins if you paid attention and read/comprehend the dialog.  The point of the ritual was to save the soul of an Old God from being perverted and twisted down onto a path of darkness in it's future rebirths.

Futhermore, anyone really expected there to be closure in this DLC?  this is a major plot thread/hook and someone actually thought they would tie any of it up with a 30 minute {at best} DLC?

To hopefully avoid any misunderstanding, I understand and agree with the need to voice one's displeasure.  Communication can lead to much happiness.  Yet I see little point in building my expectations up with ideas I would end up being dissatisfied with in the end, anyhow.

I paid for this DLC for the sole point to have my toons see Morrigan again.  As for the bug? replay the ending again and this time INCLUDE MORRIGAN in the final fight with the archdemon.  Of course, she still leaves but you might be surprised with how that 'bug' vanishes; at least it does for me.  That might explain why a resolution to the bug might be a low priority in their que of things to program.

given it did create a bunch more questions, although it was advertised as a final ending, it kinda made me feel warm inside to know that my character could be with Morrigan.

still, the bug with her saying i denied her a child, while she says my son is safe needs to be fixed. I did do the deed with her, guess i wasn't that great if she forget =P

also, even though it filled that empty hole in my heart that was created when Morrigan left, i wish it could've been longer than 30 minutes...

I did have Morrigan in the Archdemon fight and I did do the ritual, but I still got the bug where I both fathered a child with her and denied her the ritual.

It didn't glitch for me, so I got an ending that made sense.

Well, no. I should have said: I got an ending that didn't have any continuity errors in it.

Felt kinda annoyed that I bought this on the promise of a resolution of the Morrigan/Warden story though.

My first playthrough she was all "OH CRYPTIC BLAH BLAH SORRY" so I went with her to 'Somewhere' and then it ended. What?

So I reloaded and stayed behind, so she said "EVEN MORE CRYPTIC BLAHBLAH BYE" and left me a 'Something' while she went 'Somewhere' and then it ended. What?

So I reloaded and stabbed her in the gut, got a dramatic closing scene and then it ended.

I like Morrigan, she amuses me, but the so-called ending to this DLC got on my nerves so much that killing her was the only way I could glean some satisfaction from it.
