I hope they make some serious rivalry in the game, like not only saying jokes about rival/rival says jokes about Hawke, but them being able to influence the story and Hawke's life itself. Maybe even party members becoming ressentfull of Hawke and turning to be enemys or rats or something.
The problem with that is that if there is serious animosity between Hawke and a party member, it makes no sense to still keep that person in the party and wait for them to turn on you. Unless you're given a good reason why you have to keep them around, it makes more sense to just cut them loose.
