@TyFreaky - same thing with the "recruit 12 of the galaxies deadliest individuals" that was on the Mass 2 website, then it was taken off. After that, all of the devs denied seeing it/posting it even though we had a screenshot of the page. :P

I guess that's when they decided to cut Kasumi and Zaeed from the game, and put them as DLC.

I hope Omega gets darker beyond the strippers and some gangs there wasn't much dark there maybe random fights and assassination attempts on you and crew when you go? But then contrast that with places like Illium where it seems safe and no crime ( at least on the surface)

As far as humor goes Jar Jar was not funny he was trying way to hard I thought the worry banter about testing hacks was funny though.

This is small but some have asked in other forms to be able to customize your cabin and other area's of the ship they want to be given the freedom of making it military or keeping it luxury but adding what luxury pieces the player would actually want ie replace fish tank with entertainment area ect. Any info on something like that?

One thing I'll have to say about the rumor of Mass 3 being announced next month is that Casey Hudson said that the story bridging DLC will be released "pretty close to the release of Mass Effect 3"

LoTSB, according to Bioware, marked the beginning of the story bridging content.

That being said, it would be possible that they'd at least announce the game sometime this year. Or possibly October like the rumor is stating.

I'll put my bet on a Q4 2011 release. It needs to be featured at E3 before it's released and if they were going to have it ready by Q3, they might as well delay it to Q4 to get a Christmas release. They could delay it to Q1 2012, but that would be a missed opportunity.

I'll delete the Early 2012 'promise' and replace it with this one.

Shouldn't the title of this thread be "Wild Guesses About ME3, But I Really Like The DA2 Thread And I Want To Copy it?"

No.

Even the 'confirmed features' should be taken with a pinch of a salt as everything can change rapidly during development, but everything, even the rumors have sources. Also, I got the idea from a thread in the Civ Fanatics Forum.

:D:D:D  I was teasing.  It's not a bad idea!

Keep in mind that nothing "quoted" is 100% guaranteed. We are still developing the game and features change, we adapt, refine and improve. Just because you think it is there now based off an old interview (or even a new one) that doesn't mean it will or will not be in teh game.

I only point this out so people don't say "But I saw in a thread that "X" feature was confirmed". NOTHING is confirmed until we ship.

Fair point.

With more and more threads about ME3 being posted in the forums, the first bridging DLC out, and an alleged leak about an announcement in October, I think that we should start slowly developing a thread about ‘confirmed features’. For now, we have more assumptions than confirmed features, but it’s still early so bare with us !

  • Conversations will be more cinematic. [9]
  • LotSB may have set the standards for ME3, gameplay and dialogue-wise.
PLEASE DON'T POST SPOILERS HERE.

And don't forget:

If you would like to suggest any features that should be added, please don’t forget to mention your source. ;)

To BW IF
Conversations will be more cinematic. [9]
then the HELMETS had better come OFF automatically, so that we can actually SEE the facial expressions!

Bear in mind that since I'm not posting any references here, I cannot find any that are suitable.
I recall that pre-ME2, there were posts made (by unknown) that the ME series was planned be completed and released before the next-gen consoles were released. That means that you could play the entire series on one console, and not have to upgrade your console to continue the story (ah-la TES Morrowind on xbox, Oblivion on 360).
I'm unsure when the next-gen consoles are due out, and remember Chris' post, but this could give an indication.

It really annoys me that BioWare won't give us even a vague estimate of when ME3 is coming out ...

Yeah, I have heard about that. I can find a source easily, but why does it matter ? Late 2011/Early 2012 is within the era of this generation of consoles.

if you're still looking for a way to hyperlink text, the solution is to use the following format:

[url= whatever the URL is ]the text you want to be hyperlinked [/_url]

just remove the spaces and the underscore in the last set of square brackets.

the best Release season for ME3 is Autumn, sooner than Christmas Games. and as I said before a mixture of ME1 and ME2 systems will be Fantastic plus new thing that may make the game more exciting.
@Phaedon, do you know if Bioware put Home Worlds and Earth visitable in ME3 and I hope they don't change Paragon/Renegade system for ME3 (they are more like Action Styles not Moral Decisions).

At this time there is no information released about none of these subjects. I bet they'll keep the Paragon/Renegade system though, but they might change it a bit.

I'm betting they'll release the game at X-mas sense thats one of the biggest selling seasons and then I'll have to go to my awful Penndot rearranged mall layout! 5 lights in a little bitty space...not cool penndot.

also some tweaking on para/ren system would be cool do you know if they're planning on rewarding players for staying w/in conversation flow like if a chara is speaking neutral like stating facts, giving you general descriptions of past work then a neutral response would be more rewarded then say ren/para but if the situation was stressed ie some one has a hostage you'd get rewarded more for para/ren here then neutral sense those responses would be more appropriate.

I partly like the humor in ME2 and partly not... the ads on the citadel were awesome, as well as some conversations (like the one when you talk with Mordin about Kirahee) but I always have to bang my head against the wall when you do the renegade action while talking to the merc recruiter on Omega (could be only possible at femshep), that was a scene i would expect in an 80's low budget action movie ... and not the "so-bad-it's-actually-funny"-kind of movie.

And I think everyone can agree on two things regarding the release: it should be as soon as possible, while offering the highest possible quality.

Nobody wants a bugged, unfinished or bad game and nobody really wants to wait till 2013 or even 2012.

If anyone says "I want it out 2012 because quality and stuff", that's just a rephrase for: "I want a game of pure awesomeness, so if you have to choose between quality and early release, chose quality"

That's fine, and i agree completely, but would you be offended if it's released mid 2011 in the same quality that it would have, when released in 2012??? I'll answer that for you: NO :D

I finally finished LotSB yesterday. I loved the humor. I hope we can have that kind of humor in ME3,too.
