I would purchase this, IF they had a Lady Hawke version.

Oh yes, I would definitely purchase Lady Hawke PS3 theme, or a qunari one. And if it's animated I'm ready to pay twice the normal price of dynamic theme.<3

P.S. There are no Dargon Age PS3 themes, and it makes me sad...:crying:

Damn cool stuff, but it's not better than my Michael Kormack Anomander Rake desktop wallpaper.

The Wallpapers are fairly awesome, without question, and a definite step up from the lack-luster Wallpapers put up for Dragon Age: Origns. However, I've always been partial to Wallpapers featuring Female Protaganists (Companions or NPCs, not Lady Hawke) so I think I'll hold off putting DA2 on my Desktop until we get some Aveline Wallpapers. Still, cudos to the guys/gals who put the Wallpapers together.

LADY HAWKE fans:

You might as well stop asking now, and save your breath (or typing fingers) - Bioware will do the same thing with DA 2 that they did (are doing) with Mass Effect - the male character is cannon and there will NEVER be a Ladyhawke (or Femshep) in any official promo material.

I'd love it if they did (I always play female characters) - but I'm not going to even bother to ask. They need a clear marketing image for the game, and adding a second "face" as the hero will just confuse the general public (that's NOT the people on this board, by the way, so save the "it's not confusing!" rants - I know it's not confusing to the folks that hang out here)

Really? Because, we did get a screenshot, as they promised us they would. They don't usually promise anything to us very often.

Also, things are going to change just because we sit on our hands and say nothing. Show a strong enough presence in support for, and we could get what we ask for. No one is asking for equal marketing. I'm saying that it ranges on insulting for you to say that asking for a wallpaper--and keep in mind that the wallpapers we have are poorly blown up screenshots of a trailer, something any of us could do--is the same thing as featuring Lady Hawke in marketing, or at all something selfish or silly. It hurts nothing to ask politely. It can only benefit our cause.

There was marketing for female leads in KotOR, Jade Empire, and DAO. Not an extensive amount, but it was there. The "faces" of KotOR, JE, and DAO were all female. Someone without a distinct knowledge of who the main character is wouldn't be able to tell if they were the protagonist or not. Both ME games strongly feature women--fully dressed women, no less--on their covers.

I think the Lady Hawke fans (myself included) are very 'if you give a mouse a cookie' in that we've gotten one terribly angled picture (in which she still looks epic and awesome) and now we want more. Yes, if you give us a wallpaper we will want a trailer to go along with it. Why? Because the game is about the Champion of Kirkwall, and the Champion is the character we design male or female. So if the main character can be male or female and you're giving us the choice why can't we see both? Why can't the public see both? Isn't it important for the public buying your game to be informed? Maybe you would attract more female gamers who would say "hey look at that not objectified female protagonist, what's that she's got armour on and her ****** aren't hanging out? Is that dragon age 2...lets go buy that" okay that's a ridiculous scenario but it could happen (the world could also end tomorrow blah blah). All we want is equality it's not asking for much(only a small lie) and plus you're Canadian and when your annoying mass of house guests ask for milk with their cookies it's polite to just give it to them.

Maybe we're just not asking politely enough?

Please, dear Bioware... Please, pretty pretty please, with sugar on top, may we have a desktop wallpaper featuring Lady Hawke? We'd be ever so grateful.

If someone from Bioware wants to take the time to feature Lady Hawke in some official promo material, such as a game demo or maybe even a trailer preview on their website, I'd be absolutely fine with it. But I guess some people can't stand the idea of the hero not being male. :)

All those wallpapers are pretty bad.

Something that looks less like a 90's throwback and a little more classy/artsy would be nice. To many bloody logo's on the Wallpaper, it looks pretty crappy on smaller monitors.

I'd like to see some wallpapers with Lady Hawke. Male Hawke does nothing for me and not really my cup of tea.

I agree, the worst are the higher res, mostly because they are just stretched out.

But female thing would really not bother me. 9/10 for least gamerinformer and such they going sick with Male Hawk cannon look of pc. You got look at who buying, because bet for ever female gamer of this least 6 to 8 males gamer as well, so kinda base on majority as well.

I concur completely with this statement!! I have Hawk as my desktop right now, and I think it's pretty awesome- I love showing it off at my university.. but what irritates me is the fact that people believe that in wanting equality for different gender pictures is wrong.. we live in the 21st century.. equality is the in thing right now-- sorry to burst your bubble.

So you can understand how we get frustrated when females don't get treated as equally as the guys do. And I know that there is a higher percentage of guys playing video games then females, but maybe that is because the marketing and advertising has been created specifically for that male audience (ex this desktop).. if they were able to become less gender bias, perhaps more females would become interested.. sorry for the rant.. it's been a long day

I think the image below makes a plenty good wallpaper. I prefer it without the branding all over the place anyway.

Lots of the hi-res screenshots and concept art work really well.

I'd rather have a Firefox theme than a wallpaper. I keep my wallpaper blank. Then again, it'd have to be good to displace this Mario one I have.
