as for the opne above saying it's just their "vagina" I doubt that.....it's obvious by the context she is referring to an erogenous zone

Asari are female and they do have to give birth through something.  But since they don't have sex in the human sense there's no real evolutionary reason for it to be an erogenous zone as well.

as much as logically you might have a point remember what Asari represent in the game....a lack of erogenous zones would be counterproductive

Um, I'm pretty sure that's not what's going on in that scene.
The Asari mind-meld trick is based on their biotics and is communicated by electrical impulses in the skin. In that whole scene they go to some effort to show Shepard and Liara specifically not touching each other. My assumption was that the idea is you build up the tention before letting the mind-meld thing happen.

Anyway, Liara would be vague about it for two reasons:

1) Modesty.  She can be specific but chooses not to.
2) Ambiguity.  She can't be specific because it's more vague, like the "lower back/buttocks" idea above.
