LOL . . . I thought the Azure meant the ******, but same area, so whatever!

Vagina, ******, vulva, the specifics don't really matter, but, yeah, that's the reference. :P

One more for, "It's the vagina, you're overthinking it."

Asari are sexy all-female (from an OOC perspective) space elves. They have a vagina, the azure is the vagina.

That was the joke. Now we all know the joke. Yay!

vaginas don't exist solely to be penis receptacles, as much as the boys might want to think so.

That's what I said. It's a play on the color. People don't get it apparently.

Given it seems as if male Shep touches her there in one scene, and his hand seems behind her, I have doubts that it is that spot! After all, if Bioware have cut out the really great love scens in ME2 I hardly think they are gonna touch a female character in quite such a spot!

I thought it was the lower small of the back, the equivalent of the base of a tail on a cat. If you have ever tickled a cat there, especially the female queens, you know what effect it has on them! Mind you, the toms like it too!

I'm going to agree with previous posts in that "azure" refers to the Asari nether parts in general.  The whole point of this word being created was for a joke in LotSB, and if they spell the joke out for you (AZURE IS A ASARI VAG GUYS, LOLOLOLZZZ!) then it's not witty or funny.  Similarly, during the Shep/Liara romance scene, the camera pans by Shep's hand on Liara's lower back, but there's a few seconds off-camera that that hand could have been moved elsewhere.  Being that Shepard was sliding his/her hand slowly down the back, I imagined it kept going and ended up on the a*s, inside thigh, or crotch: I feel kind of dumb spelling this out because I thought it was pretty obvious, but apparently not.  People: just because she doesn't SAY "Asari vagina," just because it doesn't SHOW Shep sticking his/her hand down there doesn't mean it aint' happening.  That's why you have an imagination!

What's funny is that only ME fans would over-analyze a topic like this in such detail.

I know!  I figured nothing needed to be analyzed: pretty obvious that it's about pu*sy, but I guess it's more fun to guess about some "mystery part."  Or maybe any female parts in the bikini area are still "mystery parts" to many ME players, lol.

Hey if it was a CoD forum it would just be childish swearing and cries for the secret to be revealed

That's because 50% of all CoD players are under the age of 12: evidenced by ANY MW2 game on Xbox live.  ME is too boring for a young child, and thus we get all the "college-educated" people here philosophizing about things that don't need to be heavily-analyzed, lol.

I play pc so i dont have any of those problems, well didnt till mw2. But that isnt the point, its funny to see people debate about something that was as clear as day to me when i heard it. We are over thinking, its just their vagina

I think we deserve to overanalyse unnecesary things just because it makes us feel more witty and smart than we actualy are. Let's overanalyse overanalysing shall we?

About the original topic: Just ask Joker, he seems to be quite a expert about alien physiology due to his high consumtion of xenophilic erotica.

Surely.  A lot of the "erogenous zone somewhere around the lower back" comments cracked me up.  People see Shepard's hand there and assume that's what's making Liara happy.  I'm thinking, "that's not where I'd be touching my girlfriend if she looked that satisfied," lol.

Can't believe I'm getting into this discussion, but given that Asari passes genetic information neurally, through epidermal touch, and not through physical exchange of DNA carrying cells, there is no reason the primary zone of transfer has to be even close to the eggs.

The instant before Liara's reaction, you see hands moving upwards, from above her seat, towards the lower back - towards sacrum, on a human - the posterior end point of your spinal column (which is part of the central nervous system) -- a very much logical place to have a concentration of nodes.

Ok I don't get it. Sci fi settings nearly always have alien races with erogenous zones in odd (for us) places.

The Ferenghi from star trek have their lobes, the newcomers from alien nation have the "spots" on their backs, I'm pretty sure there are other references in babylon5 and the abridged universe of star wars.

So why exactly does the asari azure have to be their ******/vagina/labia/whatever? Seriously, I understand the Asari are Mass Effect's green space babes but they are not human (I can't believe someone actually said "when I touch my girlfriend there she does not react like that"). Besides, as much as I do not put it past them, I think bioware is above p***y jokes.

Then again, as I said, I would not put it past them

I love ME players. We're all so damn smart, we waste our time interpreting every philosophical aspect of the game, every mechanic loosely based on science; Guess that's what happens when your game appeals to university/college students +

Let's take over the world and DO ****. =p

There is a vague and obscure hint in game that there could have been male Asari for a long while in their evolution, persistent long enough for them to have made it into Asari mythology as one of their old gods; Vilius, the trickster, said to have appeared to be Asari but those who joined/mated with the trickster god bore 'deformed' Asari children.

If so, any male Asari remaining would have died out in pre-historical times, and apparently any skeletal differences are minimal enough that there's no credible evidence (fossil or otherwise) to prove their existence.

Then again, the hint might simply be that there are species Asari could mate with, who simply don't have complex enough genetic strands to trigger sufficient viable mutations during Asari reproduction; A caution, as the codex entry says, to warn Asari to be careful when choosing a bondmate.

I believe the sound that the first two letters make is a good indication.

AZure = Ass

The butt is in the lower reaches and near the bottom of the body. :P
