Hello all,

Just wanted to deliver a status update on this:

We received numerous volunteers to help us test the patch, and as you can read above, it seems that the fix has been successful. We are continuing testing through the weekend for release next week.

We are currently planning to release the PC version of the patch on Monday (time of day is still to be determined).

Console versions of the patch are also undergoing testing, and they will be submitted to Microsoft and Sony next week. We will keep you posted on the progress for those patches.

Again, thank you for your patience and to our patch testers while we wrap this issue up!

Great! I'm not replaying Witch Hunt until I get this patch. I wonder if we will see what this book is about....now that there will be an end save.

From what the beta testers said, there is no added content. You will not get to know what the book is about yet.

Yes, the game now creates an autosave before the credits roll.

Bioware... really? DA team should get some DLC lessons from the ME2 team. ME2... now that's what REAL DLC should play like. LotSB was a real treat. I hope the DA team will get their **** together when they release DLC for DA2.

I just hope they follow the ME2 team where they show what choices you did when transferring your save 2 DA2. I will be really pissed if the "freedom for Anders" quest bug (where it would let you enter the warehouse) turns to be an important action for DA2.

I hope this patch isn't just about WH, I just found out after doing Awakening like 4 times my Vigilance doesn't even look like it's ****ing supposed to It's because of Wardens Keep. I tried deleting it but then I can't play my game without it therefore my Vigilance will continue to look like the ugly Starfang.

Fix my Vigilance Bioware.

Anyway... I think Bioware might have effed up with this game they haven't organized it properly I don't think they knew what they thought out what they were gonna do before they did it and that's why everything is sloppy. They probably weren't sure how they were gonna do the importing hopefully with DA2 it will be more organized... but seriously FIX MY VIGILANCE!

Should have been tested properly before release, the bugs have already ruined Witch Hunt for those who played it.

(Some Awakening spoilers below for those who want to skip it)

Well I just finished my second character with the patch (had 2 to test with) and yeah it worked smooth with both of them.

One of my characters was imported from the middle of Awakening (I hadn't done anything of note in that game with that character) and the main thing I saw different was that there was neither a Skull mark showing Amaranthine destroyed, nor a marker to show Vigil's Keep which I had in 2 of my other saves. So for Witch Hunt to recognize anything you did in Awakening, just have to make sure you use a save after certain events. As it is, the default autosave right before the Mother should contain everything needed for imports since all the main decisions will be there (did you upgrade the keep, did you save the keep or city, what happened with the Architect, etc.) I believe the game assumes you killed the Mother (which isn't that much of a stretch to assume).

Erm... I imported a character after Awakening and GoA, didn't have any markers of Amaranthine or Vigil's Keep on the map. I think I'll panic :(

What is this "ritual" people are talking about that is missing? I finished WH with my character that was imported from the origins epilogue auto save, didn't notice anything was wrong except that I couldn't figure out how to get the promised new items to use. New game?

Did any who used the patch try to use it with the 'Morrigan Restoration Patch Dialog Fixpack' mod?

I'm wondering if any of you who have the beta patch tried and if there's any conflict.

@Die;  Well.... Le'me see.  IF  you played DA:O  a certain way, and DIDN'T do certain things, and DID do certain others, near the very end of the game there would have been an offer of a "Ritual, to be performed on the eve of Battle".

Depending on certain OTHER choices (including your own gender) you could choose to participate, chose to allow someone else to do so, or refuse to do so all together.  Which of THOSE  choices you made had ( or should have  had, see the various "WH  Bug" threads on the Forum) an impact on the tone, direction, and ultimate choices available to you during the final scene of WH.

(Oh, and items appear if you load ANOTHER  game, new or saved.)

Thanks for the reply Thandal!

OK now I remember what the ritual is. I guess my problem was it was months since I played the campaign so I couldn't even remember all my choices, so It would be hard for me the determine whether the dialogue in the final scene is appropriate -- maybe after another play through and with the bug fixes this will be another worthy experience.
